About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Global Mission, this focal coordinating role within our Global Mission Team (GMT) will ensure the effective functioning of the GMT by offering:
• Administrative support to the Director
• Team-wide Coordination
• Programme Support for cross-regional initiatives
Due to the coordinating nature of this role, the post holder will need to work in close collaboration with other members of the Global Mission Team as well as effectively liaise with members of the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising (CEF) team as well as the Finance and Operations (FO) team.

It is expected that the postholder will have considerable experience of working in the church/charity sector and a fair understanding of contemporary global challenges.

Principle Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and the team, you will lead on developing and managing creative art programmes, projects, activities, and events.

Maintain and develop relationships among key partner organisations,local businesses, creatives, and host steering group meetings to develop new ideas and plans to progress and enhance the organisation, building communication and providing regular feedback.

Work with the CEO to develop annual organisational and project budgets, and manage ongoing programme budgets to ensure they are delivered as agreed within set budgets and timescales.

Research, implement and monitor programme and project plans, liaising with collaborators, partners, the community and artists.

Produce reports to ensure that relevant stakeholders are fully and consistently informed and updated about the progress of creative projects.

Determine and monitor the human and physical resources needed for the programmes/projects and ensure that they are available at the appropriate time.

Ensure effective marketing and publicity for programmes and projects.

Day to day project and personnel management, including staff and artists’ contracts, and project risk assessments.

Major Gifts Manager, International Fundraising
Position Objective:
To solicit major gifts (£5,000 and above) to support PETA’s international programmes and campaigns.
To build and advance relationships with PETA entities’ major donors and prospects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy for international for major gifts fundraising
- Manage and maintain a portfolio major gift donors and prospects, across PETA international entities
- Effectively steward donors and prospects
- Develop personal engagement plans for donors, using knowledge and insights to plan appropriate communications
- Solicit major financial contributions from targeted donors
- Manage a pipeline of prospects, creating engaging opportunities for donors to increase their giving to a higher level

Who we are
The problem - On average, 160 young people are excluded from school each week. Once excluded, prospects for these young people are bleak, with only 4% achieving good GCSE grades, and 67% entering sustained education, employment or training compared to 96% of their non-excluded peers. This can be a pipeline to prison, with concerning statistics showing 63% of prisoners having been excluded from school.
Our mission - To ensure that young people who have been excluded from school are not excluded from society.
Who we serve - We support the hardest to reach young people in the most disadvantaged communities, each of whom are most at risk of experiencing school exclusion or are at risk of being excluded. Young people who are eligible for free school meals are 4x more likely to get excluded, along with black Caribbean boys. Young people with special educational needs are also six times as likely to be excluded as their peers.
Our work - We work in a number of different settings both during term time and after school. Our coaches lead small groups of 8-10 young people, using sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor to develop their soft skills, as well as improve their physical & mental wellbeing. We are looking for someone to carry out maternity cover for our Programme Manager (Midlands & North). ABOUT THE ROLE

Principle purpose of the post:

About you
As our Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager-Africa, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding relationships with Africa-based donors, including corporates, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Working closely with our Partnership and Philanthropy Team, as well as regional and country offices across Africa, you will drive new business opportunities and secure significant six to seven figure gifts.
As part of the Africa Philanthropy team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the Africa Philanthropy Initiative (API) and our mission to raise funds and develop strategic partnerships that benefit children across the African continent.
In this role, day -to- day, you will:
- Collaborate with country offices to progress existing opportunities and develop proposals for new business, leveraging local philanthropic trends.
- Work alongside the Head of Africa Philanthropy to implement strategic corporate and philanthropy aspirations, driving forward directly funded new funding models.
- Network and attend external events to raise visibility for Save the Children's Africa Philanthropy Initiative.
- Develop and implement strategic donor plans and stewardship events, tailored to engage and steward donors from Africa.
- Manage the Africa Advisory Board, identify potential donors, and ensure effective approaches are made to secure funds.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Experience in working or living in Africa, with a passion for African philanthropy and its potential for transformative change.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with high-level stakeholders in the charity or private sector.
- Proven track record of securing six to seven figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals or experience in securing new business in a commercial environment.
- Exceptional proposal writing skills and experience in developing high-quality proposals for business and/or philanthropy partners.
- Familiarity with emerging markets, preferably in Africa, and a knack for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.
Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
