Job description

You’re a qualified RMN with NMC registration and a good understanding of care plans and named nursing systems. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Registered Mental Nurse.

The team at Moor View Care Home in Halifax, a registered care home providing 24 hour nursing care, need your help. Your challenge? To help deliver excellent nursing care and support to clients and make sure our services are of a consistently high quality. We’ll also rely on you to strive to meet each individual’s needs and aspirations and encourage a participative environment that enables residents to gain increasing independence and develop their full potential. Taking special responsibility for allocated clients/residents by helping them formulate and pursue a positive personal development programme will be important too, as will supervising volunteers and less experienced staff.

Ideally with some nursing experience in residential work or a related field, you’re used to carrying out practical duties and supervising others and committed to meeting client needs. The ability to prioritise and plan work and deal effectively with personal stress is also essential, as is a desire to develop. What’s more, you have excellent communication and team working skills and are comfortable being part of a flexible rota system that includes weekends, evenings, waking nights etc.

We have two permanent positions available at 37.5 hours per week each.

We would welcome applications from both Registered Mental Nurses and Registered General Nurses.

The salary for this post is in accordance with Agenda for Change, Band 5, salary scale £26,970- £30,615. In addition, the successful candidates will be paid a £1,500 Golden Hello payment.

This is a rolling recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be interviewed as and when they apply.

In return, you can expect some great benefits, including 25 days' holiday, contributory pension scheme, employee assistance programme and childcare vouchers, plus exceptional professional development and training opportunities.

So, get inspired today. Visit our website and take the first steps towards a more fulfilling career.
