Job description

Analyst

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Analyst reporting to the Director of Impact & Research to join our team, to work across the organisation to support with providing insights to help inform our work and to report on our impact to funders.

This is a critical role as we grow our impact and research workstreams, to enable us to generate key insights, enhance reporting to our funders, conduct high quality research, and to support the development of an innovative and strategically vital framework for evaluating the impact of our work.

In your first six months, you will help improve our data preparation and aggregation and processes, contribute towards our annual report, support the full operationalisation of our impact measurement framework, and contribute to a major research project on the impact of a television series.

You will be a self-starter, confident in managing data collection processes, comfortable translating academic and audience research for lay audiences, and have an understanding of quantitative research methodologies. You may have a background in the screen industries, social sciences, or research agencies, have a drive to learn and a creative attitude towards creating new methodologies for research problems.

Key responsibilities

● Implement robust processes for the preparation and aggregation of our internal data, feeding into our Impact                       Framework

● Collate, prepare and analyse our data for internal and external reporting.

● Support the Director of Impact & Research with project evaluations

● Support the Director of Impact & Research with reporting to funders

● Summarise and translate relevant research to the team

● Research external case studies on specific TV and film projects

● Support the coordination of the Climate in Screen Entertainment Research Working Group

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills

- At least 4+ years experience analysing quantitative datasets and identifying meaningful insights

- Ability to use IT proficiently, including Google products, Airtable and Excel

- Strong analytical skills using Excel, Google Sheets and Airtable to manage, clean and analyse data

- Communication Skills - ability to express ideas clearly, write well, and translate research for lay audiences

- Excellent written communication, with the ability to synthesise complex research into clear, engaging reports for non-           specialist audiences.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide variety of                     internal and external colleagues and contributors.

- Able to work as a member of a team and work in a confident and collaborative way.

Additional advantageous experience

- Experience working in Television and Film insights or research

- Experience with Brandwatch or other social listening platforms

- Experience using Python for data science

- Experience building dashboards in Google Studios, Airtable or other similar software

- Experience of qualitative research
