The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Project Director to lead a major new initiative supporting the implementation of the revised Ambient Air Quality Directive (AAQD) across nine EU Member States. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a multi-country programme focused on reducing air pollution and climate emissions in Europe.

As Project Director, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the Europe Clean Air Quality project, ensuring it is well set up with strong governance, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead a dedicated project team, manage relationships with funders and partners, and supervise grant-making and technical assistance efforts across targeted Member States.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and implementing strategy across nine EU Member States and pan-EU initiatives.

• Building partnerships with stakeholders in the most polluted regions to support AAQD transposition and implementation.

As a SQL Insight Analyst, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to drive our decision making through evidence and data backed insights. We are looking for someone with:  

• The ability to write efficient and accurate SQL code.

About the role

We are seeking a Grants Systems and Business Analyst to join our Foundation, providing subject-area expertise to our grantmaking and wider teams. This exciting role leads on our grants system and processes and ensures we are working in the best way to support our grant-making (approx. £35m of grant spend per year).

You will lead on maintaining, designing and developing grant making systems and processes and their relationship to other parts of the organisation. You will work with colleagues to identify where we could improve our use of existing digital systems or introduce new systems and oversee the introduction of new systems as agreed including the development of a new grant management system. A key element of this role is to help others work in the most efficient and effective way. 

In addition, the role leads on introducing, developing and overseeing the operation of digital systems to support the operation of PHF’s wider business.  The post holder will bring a mix of technical and people skills to lead on continuous improvement, ensuring our systems and workflows fit the needs of the organisation and those we work with, and colleagues are skilled-up to work effectively.  This may involve working on the introduction of new software as required and will include working with our IT support company, software suppliers and colleagues who have specific oversight of some systems.

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit three Analysts for the EU Portfolio to join their team in London or Brussels. Theese are exciting opportunities to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution in these newly created roles.   

As an Analyst in the EU Portfolio you will play a critical role in Clean Air Fund supporting delivery of projects at both pan-European and national level across nine Member States in the European Union. This includes project and grant management, as well as the design and management of partnerships with a wide variety of grantee partners including civil society organisations, research institutions  (think-tanks and universities) and industry. ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Research Associate role involves:

Research

• Support and execute a range of quantitative and qualitative research projects for More in Common’s own thought leadership work and our client/partner work 

• Manage external research vendors’ relationship, including scheduling focus groups and project managing opinion polling research 

• Analysis, interpretation and manipulation of quantitative data, and willingness to learn how to perform statistical/econometric analysis 

• End-to-end project management for quantitative and qualitative public opinion research projects from design, execution (drafting surveys and discussion guides, and with time, moderating focus groups), analysis, report writing and presentation of insights (including data analysis) 

• Drafting and co-authoring public-facing research reports for More in Common and reports and briefings for clients and partners

Partnership / Client management:

• Day-to-day support and project management for a range of our client and partner projects 

• Identifying new partners, clients, and opportunities across various sectors from business to civil society to the public sector 

• Drafting proposals and responding to tenders for those potential partners and clients and supporting on pitches. 

• Delivering trainings and briefings for clients and partners drawing on insights from More in Common’s research 

• Drafting grant reports and taking responsibility for day-to-day account management on client-facing projects 

• Producing timely and high-quality outputs and deliverables as agreed with clients and partners 

Comms and dissemination

• Drafting and developing data briefings and press releases for journalists, conducting data checks, and designing and publishing reports on our website 

• Drafting op-eds, Twitter threads, blogs and newsletters using More in Common’s insights 

• Designing and delivering webinars and short insights products to disseminate our latest insights and research to partners and the wider eco-system

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

We look for great people before we look for specific qualifications and experience. However, the following will be an asset for this role: 

• The ability to write well and at pace for a range of audiences is essential for this role
• An understanding of how to interpret quantitative and qualitative data and to tell a story from that data  

• Curiosity for understanding and engaging people, and a desire to tell new stories that focus on building upon common ground in Britain today

• Managing tasks and projects independently and in a team - from inception through to delivery and evaluation 

• Experience of translating research and insight into products, briefings, and training programmes for a range of partners 

• An understanding of the UK political system and a keen interest in current affairs and UK public policy 

• A hunger for disseminating More in Common’s work, particularly through traditional and social media outlets 

• Professional background in research, public affairs, policy or strategic consultancy, or civil society would be desirable, but we welcome applications from any background

COMPENSATION AND CONDITIONS

About the Youth Endowment Fund 

We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

Last year, 509 children were tragically admitted to hospital after being assaulted with a knife. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.

At the Youth Endowment Fund, we are working to create lasting change. To succeed, we must build a world-leading body of knowledge on the violence that affects young people and how it can be stopped. This means producing rigorous, relevant evidence — through synthesis, data analysis and in-depth research into young people’s lives. But knowledge alone isn’t enough. We must make it accessible and actionable: showing what works, how services need to change, and how the systems around them must adapt. And we must partner with the people who can make change happen — across policy, practice and local systems — to turn evidence into impact.

About the role

We recently started a new workstream of research into why violence happens, and which children are most vulnerable. We are working with experts across research, policy and practice to investigate: 

· What are the risk and protective factors for violence?

· Why does violence happen? What are the underlying causes?

· How can we use this research to improve policy and practice, and keep children safe?

We are recruiting a Senior Research Manager to lead a portfolio of projects in this workstream. This will include research exploring how predictive tools and algorithms are used to assess risk of involvement in violence and guide support decisions.This joint programme with UKRI Safer Streets Mission will investigate whether these tools can help practitioners identify people at risk accurately, safely, and fairly—and whether their use improves outcomes.

Predictive tools are structured frameworks that aim to help professionals such as police analysts or social workers assess someone’s likelihood of committing violence. They differ from “pure” professional judgement, where practitioners rely solely on their own assessment without a formal checklist or model. These tools have been used for years but are becoming both increasingly powerful and controversial as new approaches, including machine learning, emerge.

The Senior Research Manager will commission and oversee a research team to deliver two projects:

1. A systematic review of existing research on predictive tools in violence prevention.

2. Primary research on how these tools are currently used in England and Wales, including their practical and ethical implications.

The final report will assess predictive accuracy, impact, implementation, ethics, and equity. The Senior Research Manager will ensure methodological rigour and translate findings into clear, actionable guidance on whether and how these tools should be used.

The Senior Research Manager will also lead a range of related projects, such as:

· Commissioning new research into the causes, risk factors and protective factors for violence.

· Contributing to the development of accessible online tools (similar to our existing Toolkit) which make this research accessible and help decision makers target support where it is most needed.

The Senior Research Manager will be part of YEF’s Research team. The Research team is at the heart of our efforts to learn what works and put it into practice. We do this by developing the YEF’s funding strategy and creating free, highly accessible research summaries and actionable recommendations for policy makers, commissioners and practitioners. We’re a high-performing team which values intellectual rigour and getting to the truth, compassion for children, ambition about what we can achieve and humility about what we know. We love to discuss the latest developments in research methods, but we’re not just interested in research for its own sake. We want research to lead to actual changes in outcomes for children.

Hybrid Working Details

About the Role 

As Partnerships Manager: Changemakers, you’ll lead the team that supports HOST’s global community of hosted partners (HPs). You’ll oversee all Community Support activity, ensuring partners receive the clear, responsive, and values-led service that enables them to focus on making change happen. 

This role sits at the heart of the Partnership Management Circle. You’ll manage a small, high-performing team of Community Support Leads, coordinate cross-team development projects, and ensure that systems, processes, and communications evolve in step with the growing needs of our hosted partners. 

Core Responsibilities 

1. Leadership and Management 

• Line manage the Community Support Team, providing coaching, direction, and performance feedback. 

• Oversee delivery of all Community Support activities, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with HOST’s mission and tone of voice. 

• Coordinate cross-team projects that strengthen HOST’s service offer and internal collaboration. 

2. Hosted Partner Experience and Development 

• Lead the design and delivery of the Hosted Partner Journey, from onboarding to exit. 

• Oversee the production of guides, FAQs, and templates that improve hosted partner understanding and experience. 

• Manage complex partner queries and ensure appropriate resolution in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Operations. 
   

3. Systems, Processes, and SOPs 

• Develop and maintain all Community Support SOPs. 

• Support the development and testing of HOSTHub features relevant to Project Hosting. 

• Work with the Tech and Operations teams to improve efficiency and automation. 
   

4. Risk and Compliance 

• Lead risk identification, screening, and management for Hosted Partners. 

• Work closely with the Legal Circle on legal requests, contract amendments, and risk escalations. 

• Maintain accurate documentation of risk assessments and resolutions. 
   

5. Pricing, Performance and Development 

• Set and manage pricing within the approved HOST fee range. 

• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) with support from the Data Analyst. 

• Lead annual Project Hosting service reviews and contribute to continuous improvement. 
   

6. Collaboration and Communications 

• Work with Communications to deliver partner-facing materials, including the Project Hosting Bulletin. 

• Ensure all partner resources reflect HOST’s empowering, expert, and empathetic tone. 

Required Experience 

• 5+ years' experience in operations, partnerships, or programme delivery within a not-for-profit, social enterprise, or international NGO. 

• 3+ years' experience managing partner or client relationships, ideally across multiple regions or cultures. 

• 2+ years' experience leading and developing a small team, including setting goals, coaching, and performance management. 

• Confident managing systems, workflows, and digital tools (such as ClickUp, Zendesk, Jotform, or CRM platforms). 

• Proven ability to coordinate across departments and disciplines to resolve complex partner or client issues. 

• Experience designing, documenting, and improving organisational processes or SOPs to drive efficiency. 

• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into service or system improvements.
