About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Lead IT infrastructure engineer to take ownership of our IT infrastructure and play a pivotal role in our migration from on-premises to Microsoft Azure.

This is a deeply hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll lead the technical design, build, deployment and maintenance of our infrastructure services across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. You’ll be responsible for modernising and optimising our infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with best practice.

You’ll take the lead in executing our move to a hybrid Azure environment. Designing, building and deploying solutions yourself while guiding and mentoring engineers across the team. Alongside transformation work, you’ll also own day-to-day infrastructure operations, troubleshooting and driving continuous improvement.

You’ll play a key role in strengthening our cyber security posture, including vulnerability management, configuration hardening, incident response, compliance activities and maintaining accreditations such as Cyber Essentials Plus.

Working with the Head of IT, you’ll contribute to the development of the infrastructure roadmap, act as a subject matter expert across the organisation, and ensure our systems support the charity’s vital work.

About you

You’ll be an experienced infrastructure professional with strong hands-on expertise in:

• Designing, building and maintaining hybrid environments, particularly Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, compute and monitoring).
• Leading and delivering on-premises to Azure migration projects.
• Working across a wide range of enterprise infrastructure technologies across networking, virtualisation, storage, security, identity, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Managing Microsoft services such as Windows Server, Hyper-V, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint etc.
• Strengthening infrastructure security across technical controls and operational procedures.

You’ll bring excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to lead technical decision-making. You’ll work proactively, take ownership of outcomes, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll have proven experience delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions, driving transformation projects, and maintaining secure, resilient and cost-efficient environments. You’ll also be confident working with security frameworks, implementing technical controls, operational processes and delivering compliance activities needed to keep an organisation secure.

Alongside your technical expertise, you’ll provide leadership and mentorship to engineers, helping to build capability and support a culture of continual improvement.

Purpose of the post

The Finance Officer plays a crucial role within HDR UK as one of the key points of contact and financial support for the Institute. The role is responsible for managing the financial transactional processes and providing crucial cross-organisational support and troubleshooting via the Finance inbox. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).

The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) is a specialist national charity supporting families bereaved by domestic homicide and working to improve responses to domestic abuse, homicide and suicide prevention. The Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Training and Events Officer to support our growing training and development programmes and help raise the profile of AAFDA’s work across the UK. About the role

We’re looking for a highly organised, creative, and proactive Events Officer to coordinate and deliver our programme of in-person and online events.

You’ll be the go-to person for making sure everything runs smoothly — from planning and logistics to communication and on-the-day delivery. Working closely with other part-time staff, volunteers, and local event hosts, you’ll play a key role in bringing the BMS community together.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who loves making things happen, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in creating professional and welcoming events.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan and deliver a wide range of BMS events — from scientific meetings to workshops, training sessions, and outreach days.
• Manage event logistics including venues, accommodation, catering, AV and delegate communications.
• Coordinate online events using platforms such as Zoom.
• Liaise with speakers, volunteers, and committees to make sure everything runs seamlessly.
• Oversee event budgets and timelines.
• Create promotional materials (e.g. digital programmes, flyers, graphics) using Canva or similar tools.
• Handle registrations, enquiries, and on-the-day coordination.
• Support event evaluation and continuous improvement.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 5 years’ experience delivering successful events in a charity, membership, or learned society setting.
• Is confident running both in-person and virtual events.
• Brings strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Is great at building relationships and working with volunteers, working groups and committees.
• Is comfortable working independently from home, while staying connected with a remote team.
• Has experience with event tools, databases and GDPR-compliant data handling.
• Can create professional-looking event materials using Canva (or similar).
• Desirable: a background or interest in natural sciences or mycology would be ideal, but curiosity and enthusiasm are just as valuable.

Our newly created role of Director of Technology will join our Senior Leadership Team, and will be responsible for our technology strategy. This includes leading the Full Stack and IT teams to develop the technology infrastructure that supports RNID’s work, and to develop tools that directly support our communities. About the Role

Working alongside the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day running of the BDD Foundation. You will help support the smooth operation of charity projects, media campaigns, and collaborations, while supporting the delivery of the charity’s community engagement and outreach activities.

A key focus of this role will be managing and maintaining the charity’s digital presence, including social media channels, newsletters, and website updates. You will plan, create, edit, and share content that reflects the charity’s mission and values, moderate online communities in line with our Social Media Policy, and collate insights to continually improve engagement and reach. The role also includes oversight of the volunteer and fundraising inboxes, ensuring timely responses and smooth communication. In addition, you will provide support for fundraising initiatives, including preparing funding applications, exploring new funding opportunities, and working closely with the Manging Director to help drive the charity’s impact.
