Being a Trustee is an excellent opportunity to give back and gain skills and experience. As a Trustee of an independent local charity, you’ll have the chance to influence our strategy and development at a time that sees significant growth for us following a recent merger.
We meet on the second Tuesday evening once a month , currently virtually, and have opportunities to be involved in additional projects and committees if you wish. You’ll need to be committed to ensuring good governance, give some time to read papers prior to meetings and keep up-to-date with correspondence about important matters.

As a Volunteer Customer Service Assistant in one of our shops, you will be the face of PDSA. You will make sure that our customers receive a warm welcome and help us to achieve our ambition of delivering the best customer service of any UK charity. You will also be helping us to exceed our income targets.

Can you help with providing a welcoming reception service to visitors and callers to Age UK BRWF's Windsor Street (Bromsgrove) office?
Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest is seeking the support of friendly and organised volunteers at its Windsor Street office to:
- Meet and greet visitors to the office
- Answer the telephone (referring to the appropriate person or taking messages)
- Support members of the team with simple administration tasks (e.g. booking appointments, photocopying, preparing post for mailing, updating databases etc.)
- Have an understanding of the services and support provided by Age UK BRWF and convey this in a positive manner when speaking to people
Personal qualities and experience most suited to this role:
- Friendly and approachable, with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Patient and flexible
- Experience of answering Telephones and using IT
- Able to use their initiative and also be part of a team
- Understands the need for confidentiality
- Willingness to undertake training and work within Age UK BRWF’s guidelines and policies (including Data Protection)
How much time is involved?
- Regular commitment of 3 hours a week (10am-1pm, Monday – Thursday)

Volunteer Mystery Shopper – can you help?
The Hospice Lottery Partnership runs a weekly lottery in support of local charities such as: Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity in Aylesbury, Michael Sobell Hospice Charity in Northwood, Rennie Grove Hospice Care in Buckinghamshire and West Hertfordshire, South Bucks Hospice in High Wycombe, and The Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted.
Mystery shopping is a form of market research work, that requires an individual to play the role of a genuine customer and report their experience back to us.
We are looking for someone with a good level of literacy and a great memory that could spare a few hours a week visiting our Fundraisers at local retail stores and medical centres to provide feedback on a Fundraisers performance and the overall perception of the experience. In essence, how you would rate the service you received during your experience?
