Job Title: Community Fundraising Assistant

Job Purpose:
This role calls for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised person who shares our values. The role will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day activity of the Community Fundraising Team in undertaking a wide variety of fundraising activities.
Main Duties and Tasks:
Administration
- Support the Community Fundraising Team with the administration of bespoke, third party and donor led events. Including (but not limited to) sending packs and resources out, communication of event information and appropriate thanking.
- Manage the Community Fundraising email inbox.
- Diarise Community Fundraising team meetings, take appropriate minutes and distribute actions.
- Manage the Community Fundraising shared drive and filing system.
- Work with the Community Fundraiser to identify potential Young Ambassadors and create Ambassador Packs.
- Manage the stock control of Community Event Resources.
- Audit and monitor the Charity collection boxes.
- Manage community contacts within the Charity CRM (Salesforce) ensuring they have up to date information.
Stewardship
- Be the first point of contact for on-line giving donors and monitor the online giving platforms including JustGiving and ensure that each donor has relevant communications.
- Manage the donor led event diary, providing appropriate resources where required.
Reporting
- Produce regular financial and fundraising reports on various Community Fundraising Income streams using the Charity CRM (Salesforce).
- Monitor Community Fundraising income and check it’s appropriately coded on Salesforce.
Communication
- Ensure that relevant members of the Community Fundraising Team are aware of on-line fundraising activity.
- Work alongside the Operations and Finance Teams to monitor income.
Other Duties
- Attendance at community fundraising events.
- Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
- Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
- Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s work, priorities and future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate.
- Support the Operations Team when in the office by answering phones and serving on the front desk when the office is busy.
- Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

- Maintain statutory and regulatory compliance: ensure filings with the Charity Commission, Companies House (if relevant), and other regulatory bodies are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor developments in charity law, regulation, and governance best practices; ensure the organisations governance practices are aligned.
- Check reports for completeness and quality assurance in terms of content and format, and dispatch agenda in accordance with agreed deadlines.

The role of Retail Development Manager is crucial to the income growth and audience reach of The Children’s Trust retail function. The postholder will be responsible for researching, developing and establishing new income streams to reach new audiences and drive footfall for a disperse network of charity shops, including establishing the online selling of donated and bought in (New) goods; management of online and digital selling platforms and associated stakeholders, ensuring that all compliance requirements are fulfilled.
The role will work collaboratively as part of the Retail Management Team to develop and deliver long-term growth plans to drive voluntary income growth and increase footfall and to lead on new business initiatives.
Role Requirements
- Research opportunities to recommend, test and rollout new online and digital selling platforms. Introduce associated systems and processes to achieve compliance.
- Working with the Retail Sales Manager, identify and source donated product lines and items for listing and selling through online and digital selling platforms. Share learnings to source quality stock to drive sales.
- Create a new online offer to complement and integrate within our existing retail portfolio of shops across Surrey, Sussex and Kent. Develop processes to manage online and digital selling: inventory, listing, pick, pack and despatch of online stock, including organising the logistics for deliveries to customers and collections to meet both shops and customer requirements.
- Manage the development and optimisation of online and digital selling platforms and make recommendations for rapid growth and new business proposals.
- Work with the Retail Sales Manager and Marketing and Communications team to create assets and content that can be used in store, online, through owned channels to maximise opportunities, sales promotions and seasonal changes across the chain of shops.
- Research and implement efficiencies in reducing waste disposal costs for shops estate including items no longer purchased through Rag merchants.
- Research and recommend new income streams for the sale of unsold donated items to mitigate low return through Rag merchants.
- Manage full compliance of the Children’s Trust online and digital selling platforms in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire safety, Trading Standards, Retail Gift Aid, GDPR, ThankQ CRM, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and all other legal or statutory requirements.
- Develop and manage risk assessments and associated online selling policy protocols to prevent reputational damage to The Children’s Trust through digital and online trading activities.
- Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships including supplier contracts, internal support teams, ensuring that efficient and compliant services are maintained.

The role:
We are seeking an experienced and committed campaigner to lead EIA’s strategy, investigations, and advocacy on mining-driven deforestation.
The Forest Mining Campaign Lead will investigate, analyse and advocate around mining operations and supply chains that drive deforestation, human rights abuses, and environmental harm. Working in close collaboration with partners in Indonesia, the initial focus is primarily on nickel, and coal with Indonesia as a key producer country and an emphasis on international markets and consumption.
The role will develop and deliver governance strategies to reduce the impact of mining on forests, strengthen accountability and transparency, and support communities affected by extractive industries. It will also support the goals of our climate campaign. This work is part of a larger forest program and will support our cross-cutting end goals.
About you:
- You must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience including proven capacity in leading campaigns or projects in the fields of extractives, forests, environmental justice and human rights.
- You will have strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into compelling advocacy outputs.
- You will have experience engaging with government, corporate, and civil society stakeholders at national and international levels.
- You must be committed to environmental justice, Indigenous rights, and community-led approaches.
- You will need strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multicultural, cross-regional teams. Proficiency in other languages like Bahasa Indonesia would be an advantage.
- Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to travel outside the UK at short notice.
- Ideally you will also have solid budgetary experience.
- Experience of strategic campaign planning and fundraising and experience in investigative research or supply chain analysis would be an advantage.
- Ideally you would have knowledge of mining governance frameworks, trade systems, and financial flows, and familiarity with international policy processes (e.g., UN, OECD, EU, IFC).

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. As the Transition and Recovery Service Team Manager you will oversee the Behavior change, and RISE Teams.
Our Behaviour Change programmes support individuals of any gender or sexual orientation who identify themselves as engaging in harmful behaviours in their relationships and are seeking support to end that harm. They may refer themselves or be referred by a professional. As Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a psychologically safe and supportive environment for staff working in emotionally demanding roles. You will lead with empathy and integrity, ensuring team members feel heard, valued, and empowered to raise concerns without fear. Key Responsibilities
