World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.
About World Child Cancer
Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.
World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.
Overview of the role
This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.
You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. We are looking for someone experienced in corporate and philanthropy fundraising, who is proactive, confident in engaging with high value funders, able to develop strong internal and external relationships, has strong verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative way of working and experience in developing new business.
You will join a small but ambitious and high performing team that contributes significantly to World Child Cancer’s annual income of c. £2m.
Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships
Location: UK-based hybrid role: Home working for the time being, with the provision for regular meetings in the office. Office attendance encouraged on Mondays (nr Fenchurch Street, London)

Person Specification
Essential
Educated to degree level or equivalent
A proven track record in corporate and major gift fundraising with evidence of successful solicitation of six figure gifts and multi-year gifts
Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability and confidence to interact with new and existing high value funders
Experience of successfully developing cultivation plans to engage new funders
Ability to research and identify potential new funders
Ability to translate complex, specialist information into accessible and compelling pitches, proposals and reports

Internal Communications Officer
Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2 days in the office, and 3 days remote.
About the Role
We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Policy and Public Affairs team, during an election year, delivering a number of vital pieces of research designed to improve walking, wheeling and cycling and transport more broadly.
As the Policy Officer, you will lead on delivering two key policy projects for Sustrans with support from our Head of Policy and Senior Policy Officer. You will help develop evidence, policy and practice working closely with colleagues to maximise long-term opportunities to help increase transport choice for people.

We’re a small charity that brings communities together to create cleaner, connected and safer urban and rural neighbourhoods by tackling the litter problems where they live. Where and when you will be working
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) based in our Head Office in London (Shoreditch) with the opportunity to work from home three or four days per week.

Your profile
The role will report into the Head of Marketing and will be responsible for managing, planning, and delivering all aspects of a varied portfolio of events, including an annual member conference, internal staff events, roundtables, and a range of face-to-face and online events as well as overseeing the ETF’s presence at sector trade shows and conferences, and developing and implementing an events strategy and annual events plan, with clear KPIs and objectives linked to organisational strategy, ensuring value for money, and impact, and reporting on progress against the plan, learning from delivery to make continual improvements
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience of developing and implementing an events operational plan and events programme.
- Experience of managing organisational presence at trade shows and events.
- Experience of developing and implementing event sponsor packages.
- An understanding of the opportunities that digital presents for events.
- An understanding of how to deliver effective pre- and post-event communications, including experience of developing and delivering plans to share event content with relevant audiences.
- Knowledge of GDPR, particularly in relation to using data for event marketing.
- Solution orientated – problem solver, flexible, adaptable and resilient
- Experience of managing budgets.

In this role you will be instrumental in enhancing the communication capabilities of our global programs and local partners. About the role
As CEO, you'll support us through a new stage in our development. We're operating in a fluid political environment and so our new leader needs to be confident to work in a political setting while also having the skills and experience to run an organisation like ours.
You'll take ultimate responsibility for our campaign to achieve Proportional Representation in the House of Commons. You will:
- as leader of the campaign, be primarily responsible for building the popular and political momentum needed to secure this seismic reform;

- lead the UK campaign for Proportional Representation;
- ensure MVM has a clear external brand, with consistent messages, effective and emotive arguments, and impactful use of evidence;
- be a spokesperson for the organisation on a variety of public platforms including national media and at key MVM events;
- create and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders;
- lead on development of MVM's post-election strategic plan;
- line manage and delegate responsibilities to staff, as appropriate;
- take ultimate responsibility for the good governance of MVM, including but not limited to the organisation’s financial health, legal compliance, and good standing with regulatory bodies;
- with support of relevant MVM staff, to ensure that the Board is supported in performing its governance role;
