Job description
  1. Remain conscious of the financial position of the College and be able to articulate how Development activity impacts the work of the institution now and into the future.
  2. Design, implement and coordinate a comprehensive donor relation and stewardship programme that promotes interaction with, and recognition of, donors at all levels in an appropriate and consistent way.
  3. Implement a strategic and visionary stewardship plan that will assist in the continuation of all donations from small regular donors to existing major donors.
  4.  Assume key prospect management responsibilities to ensure that all current and prospective donors are stewarded appropriately to maximise their lifetime giving.
  5. Take responsibility for identifying and subsequent stewardship of Trusts and Foundations to solicit funds.
  6. Procure and oversee the effective delivery of an income of c. £500k plus per annum.
  7. Establish short- and long-term goals for development efforts, including fundraising strategies and building the case for support.
  8. Review, develop and implement the College’s fundraising plan.
  9. Work with the communications and alumni teams to ensure that a holistic communications strategy is agreed, funded and delivered annually for alumni development.
  10.  Work with the alumni team to develop a plan to secure funds from alumni and through alumni relationships.
  11.  Oversee and develop all development/fundraising/stewardship related content of print literature and digital communications over time.
  12. Identify and implement a plan to secure a £20m endowment.
