About the Role

This is an exciting role that will lead the successful growth and delivery of the Smart Works Pop Up Shops and sales, other fundraising events and the community fundraising programme. Managing the Events and Community Manager(s), you will work closely with the Wardrobe and wider Partnerships Team to deliver exceptional events, raise vital funds and secure stock for clients and fundraising. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust strategy of Pop up shops and Sales, Events and Community Fundraising, to generate £800k+ of in-year income, and bolster future financial and community engagement opportunities.

The candidate will also work closely with the Head of Wardrobe and Retail Partnerships Manager, growing partnerships with retail brands which support Smart Works’ activities.

We seek a Head with experience in delivering end-to-end events, as well as demonstrable experience of fundraising through retail activations. An ability to work under pressure, deliver to tight deadlines, juggle conflicting priorities and exceed set targets will be key.

Senior Corporate Fundraiser

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Fundraiser to become an integral part of the Meningitis Now corporate fundraising team, as we build upon our longstanding, dedicated supporter base with exciting new partnerships and tremendous potential for growth.

You will provide expert stewardship of our current portfolio of corporate supporters and deliver new fundraising activities and campaigns that will inspire their employees to fundraise. These relationships will develop further by securing new support through sponsorship, company donations, payroll giving and referrals to new partnership prospects within their network.

You will work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager to identify, secure and launch new partnerships for the charity and work together to grow income from corporate fundraising incrementally over the coming years.

This role sits within Meningitis Now’s Partnerships Team, currently a team of four, which is responsible for raising sustainable income from trusts, grants, corporate partnerships and key supporters.

About the Job

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively as part of the Partnerships Team, to deliver the annual corporate fundraising plan and income target of £224,420 in 2026/27.
• Account management to develop positive relationships with all corporate supporters with the aim of achieving long-term and sustainable support. This will include written communications, telephone conversations, face-to-face meetings and attendance at events.
• Work closely with the Corporate Fundraising Manager to develop new, creative and engaging opportunities for companies to support Meningitis Now.
• Support the fundraising team in the promotion of our events and corporate sponsorship opportunities.
• Deliver excellent stewardship to inspire supporters to take part in events and, where opportunities exist, cultivate longer-term corporate partnerships.
• Create compelling donor communications and ensure that impact reports are compiled to a high standard.
• Proactively follow up on incoming enquiries from companies who have expressed an interest in supporting the charity.
• Ensure all donations received from corporate supporters are thanked in a timely and engaging manner.
• Support the Corporate Fundraising Manager by contributing to high quality partnership applications and pitch presentations.

We are looking for a successful Philanthropy & Fundraising Manager with a proven track record in face-to-face major donor fundraising, or an individual with outstanding transferable skills and experience of working within the charity sector. The individual must thrive on building trusted relationships and be confident in securing significant philanthropic gifts by successfully securing complex, high-value partnerships over the line.

Management Supervision and Guidance

You will be responsible to the CEO for your daily tasks and duties, and ELT in any other matters.

Purpose
The Philanthropy Manager will create and drive The Hunslet Club’s fundraising strategy by cultivating and securing significant philanthropic support a new capital project to expand opportunities for young people across South Leeds. This role is central to building meaningful, long-term relationships with individual donors, trusts, foundations and partners, translating their passion for youth development into transformational investments that strengthen programmes, increase participation and create sustainable impact. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with confident stewardship, ensuring that funding growth aligns with The Hunslet Club’s mission to help young people achieve their full potential.

Duties and responsibilities

The Philanthropy & Fundraising Manager will work on a full-time basis, or part-time on a pro-rata basis. The primary responsibility of the role is to secure £700,000 and above in philanthropic income over a 18 month period. This will be achieved through identifying, researching and cultivating individual donors, corporate supporters, trusts, foundations and strategic partners, using research tools and publicly available information to build and manage a strong portfolio of prospects, particularly those with an interest in supporting young people and communities.

To be successful, the postholder will develop an excellent understanding of The Hunslet Club, its mission and its inspirational youth and community work, and will help to develop and articulate a compelling case for support. The role will involve achieving a clearly defined set of Key Performance Indicators, providing high-quality stewardship to maximise donor retention, and maintaining, developing and leveraging existing relationships with current supporters. The postholder will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including Executive/Senior Leadership and Trustees, to ensure effective involvement in fundraising activity where appropriate.

The successful candidate will organise suitable events and cultivation opportunities to build long-term relationships with potential supporters. Attendance at events, meetings and conferences will be required, with support from Executive/Senior Leadership and Trustees.

The successful candidate will also be expected to volunteer at a minimum of three cross-club community events per year and to carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Executive Leadership Team.

Concern UK operates a flexible hybrid working policy, which can be a mix of home and office working. About the role

The UK’s international trade policy is at a crossroads: beginning to move on from the relentless focus on Free Trade Agreements which primarily exist to serve corporate interests, but yet to embrace a vision for trade which prioritises equality, environmental sustainability and human rights. 

The Advocacy Manager’s role is to build political support for the Trade Justice Movement’s policy priorities. They will represent TJM in high-level settings including parliamentary meetings, party conferences and on government stakeholder groups. They will build strong relationships with parliamentarians, advisors, committee staff and civil servants. They will also play a key role in researching and agreeing policy positions in collaboration with civil society allies. 

TJM is a small team and the Advocacy Manager will have a flexible and collaborative approach, responding to political events, seizing opportunities to influence and pitching in with broader organisational priorities. 

The Advocacy Manager will be responsible for setting TJM’s political influencing strategy, with support from the Director, and will be able to plan and deliver their work independently. 

About the organisation

TJM is a UK-based coalition of 45 charities, trade unions and faith groups working for a fairer, greener world by supporting international trade policies which prioritise people and planet. 

TJM is composed of four staff members (Director, Advocacy Manager, Research Manager, Senior Communications Adviser), all of whom work closely with allies both within and outside our membership. 

Criteria for a successful applicant

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Excellent communication skills, including written communication and interpersonal networking, relationship-building and influencing skills

• Experience of producing high-quality briefings and developing policy positions for political audiences

• Experience working with political stakeholders such as MPs, parliamentary committees, or other parliamentary actors to build support for a progressive agenda

• Deep understanding of policy-making processes in the UK, both within parliament and central government departments

• Demonstrable ability to build strong expertise in complex policy areas

• Excellent analytical skills and political awareness 

• Experience of organising and running political or civil society events

• Strong ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, managing own work, prioritising and meeting deadlines

A successful candidate may be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:

• Experience of working within a network organisation and/or in collaboration with civil society groups

• Knowledge of trade justice issues, international development, climate and environmental policy or another similar policy area

• Experience working on fundraising bids to charitable trusts and foundations 

• Digital communications skills

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive Fundraising and Supporter Engagement team. The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (was Sustrans) is bucking the trend in terms of fundraising performance and we are looking for someone with the skills, experience and energy to continue to drive our Corporate Partnerships forwards.

As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will help the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust build strong, meaningful partnerships with corporations. But you won’t be starting from scratch! We area already benefitting from partnerships with a few well-known brands and have others interested in collaborating. Your work will focus on researching new opportunities, planning how to grow partnerships, and developing approaches that support both short term and long-term income for the charity. 

Not surprisingly, a key part of the role is building and maintaining relationships through great communication, regular updates, and exceptional stewardship. You will also be writing engaging and easy to understand partnership proposals that show how organisations can benefit from working with the Trust, while also helping to advance our purpose.

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Developing a new business strategy that increases sponsorship income from corporate partners. 
• Creating partnership offers that provide value to both sides. These should attract companies that share our values and can support our projects, products, and programmes.
• Securing new sponsorship and significantly growing income by developing clear and persuasive proposals. This includes shaping each proposal through regular engagement with corporate contacts and coordinating input from multiple teams to produce strong, evidence-based submissions.
• Providing excellent stewardship to all partners. This includes personalised communication, meaningful recognition and clear reporting. The goal is to build long term, positive relationships with both prospects and existing partners. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with delivery colleagues to develop engaging and persuasive communications, developing strong relationships with partners and the rewarding challenge of fundraising!
