Although we have recovered from the Covid 19 pandemic, the nation now faces the worst cost of living crisis since the 1950s, thanks to the Russian Ukraine war, and now the US Israel Iran one which have disrupted the global energy market. There is no denying that, in the UK, young people (YP) are being disproportionally affected. We are deeply concerned about the impact this crisis is having on the young people that we work with across the board.

The UK youth unemployment rate for 16-24-year-olds sits at a concerning 16.2%, an 11-year high. There are over 1 million young people not in education, employment or training (NEET). We know that high numbers of vacancies do not translate into opportunities for all young people, especially those from BAME background who already face discrimination in the labour market.

We are responding to this emerging issue, by working harder and smarter to support young people that we work with for whom the transition from formal education into employment is not automatic. We work to help this group have access to economic opportunities in these challenging times. We believe that our services bridge this gap and provide opportunities for young people to develop wider social, personal and self -management skills required for productive participation and integration into society. Job purpose: Provide a range of administration services to enable the Trust to operate its day-to-day activities, management and governance processes effectively.

Roles and responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the job are:

· Provide administrative support to the Programme Manager, Trustees and Youth Board 

· Provide general administrative support across the Trust, including scheduling meetings, administering our Microsoft 365 system, helping to produce reports/ letters, managing emails, facilitating in-house communication, managing our records, research, and other general duties

· Assist implementation of the Trust’s charitable programmes e.g., by providing administration support to project teams and organising promotional activities.

· Manage enquiries to the Trust and respond to routine enquiries, ensuring that actions are followed up

· Proactively manage our website day-to-day and post to our social media, consulting where necessary. Produce leaflets, publicity and newsletters

· Support our organisation development plans by helping us research and implement any new policies, processes and best practice procedures required, and maintaining the database of evidence

· Suggest administrative improvements to support the smooth running of the charity and, when agreed, implement them

Key working relationships:  The post holder will work with all the Trustees (but particularly the Trustee responsible for Communications), the Programmes Manager as well as the Trust’s finance service provider. The post holder will develop good working relationships with other stakeholders including our project delivery partners, members of the Youth Board and, in some cases, young people on or applying for our programmes.

The role of Digital Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of The Children’s Trust’s digital communications. Working closely with the Digital Manager and wider Marketing and Communications team, the postholder will help ensure our website, email marketing and other digital activity are engaging, accessible, user-focused and aligned with organisational priorities and brand guidelines.

The role will support the day-to-day management of the charity’s websites maintaining high-quality, up-to-date content with a strong user experience, alongside contributing to integrated marketing and communications activity through digital channels, including email and paid digital support. Using analytics and insight, the Digital Officer will help monitor performance, identify opportunities for optimisation and support data-driven decision making to enhance reach, engagement and user journeys.

This role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of digital best practice, who can work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities effectively while contributing to the ongoing development of The Children’s Trust’s digital presence.

Website management

• Support the day-to-day running of the charity’s websites, managing updates from across the organisation and ensuring continuous improvement and development of content, layout and structure.
• Support the Digital Manager to work with teams across the charity to ensure all website content is fresh, up-to-date and in line with our key messages, style and tone of voice.
• Support Digital Manager with ensuring websites are compliant, secure, accessible, user-friendly and aligned to brand, communications and organisational objectives.

Campaigns and email marketing

Role description
Malaria No More UK is looking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Advocacy Officer to join our team and help implement our advocacy strategies. Working with both our UK and global advocacy, you will cultivate a new generation of malaria champions and push malaria up the political agenda. This role will work on increasing our visibility and the resonance of our case with key stakeholders, including decision makers in the UK and around the world. Securing increased support will be vital to global efforts to accelerate progress towards ending malaria for good within a generation. We are looking for a confident communicator with strong project management skills and a good understanding of political advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Providing project management support for a range of projects relating to our UK and global advocacy, including acting as project lead on agreed projects.
• Strategic stakeholder mapping, including building and maintaining relationships with UK parliamentarians and keeping contact records in our database updated on a regular basis. 
• Lead the delivery of high-quality events for policy and political audiences, including at the UK party conferences, and international meetings.

About the Youth Endowment Fund 

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

All of us will experience violence at some point in our lives. For many children, it is a daily reality. Each year, tens of children are killed, hundreds are hospitalised, 1 in 5 teenage children are victims and the majority admit to feeling afraid of violence. It scares them when they travel home from school, prevents them from going out and makes the most vulnerable feel like they don’t matter. It is taking lives, traumatising families and dividing communities. It robs potential, progress and hope. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives. 

The evaluation team contributes to the design and implementation of the fund’s various funding rounds. The team is also responsible for assessing, appointing, monitoring, and the quality assurance of rigorous impact evaluations from experts in the field. The Senior Evaluation Manager will play a key role in leading evaluation work. The post holder will also lead a team of evaluation managers, ensuring they have the support to deliver a portfolio of evaluation projects. 

Key responsibilities 

The core of your job is to ensure that we are excellent at evaluation, so that we can find out the very best ways to prevent young people and children from becoming involved in violence. 

Evaluation 

Working with the Head of Evaluation the post holder will: 

• Implement the processes for assessing the quality of evidence underpinning applications to the fund and making funding recommendations to the Grants and Evaluation Committee. 

• Shape the evaluation approach for individual grant rounds, including leading on this for a small number of rounds. 

• Act as a source of expertise on the statistical underpinnings of YEF’s evaluation work, including on issues such as  power calculations, regression analysis and  missing data.

• Lead the delivery of YEF’s evaluation work, designing, commissioning and managing complex and large-scale RCTs and QEDs

• Be responsible for YEF’s evaluation policies and reporting templates, ensuring they remain consistent and fit for purpose. 

• Be responsible for the ongoing development of YEF’s commissioning guidance. 

Team management 

The post holder will likely lead the recruitment, management and development of a team of evaluation officers and will: 

• Ensure they have the knowledge, skills and support to carry out their work effectively. 

• Provide regular feedback and coaching on written outputs. 

• Supervise and project manage the team’s evaluation work, providing quality assurance and monitoring of progress against project plans and project budgets. 

Collaborative working 

The post holder will contribute to the wider YEF team and will: 

• Be accountable to YEF’s Fund Leadership Team for the delivery of evaluations, on time and on budget, including reporting on risks and issues. 

• Work closely with colleagues across YEF and specifically the Programme team. 

• Ensure high-quality evidence is at the heart of all YEF activity and that the evidence we produce is communicated in a clear and accessible way which will drive sustainable change.

The post holder may be involved in other elements of YEF's projects, working with senior colleagues to commission, scope and deliver projects. 

About you 

You are this sort of person:

• You have strong knowledge, experience and technical expertise in evaluation methodologies including experience of RCT design and/or design of complex quasi-experimental evaluations (e.g. propensity score matching, regression discontinuity design, instrumental variables). 

• You have quantitative analysis skills  including experience of using advanced analytical software such as R, Stata or SPSS. 

• You have significant experience in carrying out or commissioning research including designing all aspects of the research and managing external contractors.  This may be in academia, government or a related sector. 

• You have strong relationship management skills. You are comfortable working with a wide range of people, including senior academics and other research experts, children and their families, practitioners, and policy makers. You’re able to provide constructive challenge when required.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring the charity operates effectively, compliantly and sustainably.

This broad and varied leadership role spans governance, risk, HR, IT, data protection and organisational operations, supporting delivery of the charity's strategy through robust systems, policies and processes. As Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you’ll play a central role in helping us understand and demonstrate the real difference our work makes. You’ll manage the development and delivery of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for our Health Equity, Services and Improvement directorate, ensuring we can track our progress against Prostate Cancer UK’s new strategy with confidence. As part of the Data and Evidence team, you’ll bring together data and insight to tell a clear story about our impact for men and the wider healthcare system.

In this role, you’ll design practical, meaningful ways to measure success, from shaping our key performance indicators to strengthening how we collect and use data over time. You’ll draw on information from multiple sources to build a joined-up view of our activity, and use clear, engaging data visualisation to bring your findings to life. You’ll also support reporting to boards and committees, presenting evidence in a way that is accessible, relevant and supports good decision-making.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, helping them evaluate their work and feel more confident using data in their day-to-day roles. You’ll bring strong expertise in monitoring, evaluation and learning, with experience of applying approaches such as theory of change, outcome harvesting and logic models in practice. You’ll be skilled at evaluating public health or similar programmes, with a strong understanding of impact measurement and the ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data. Experience in data visualisation is important, and familiarity with tools like Tableau or Power BI would be a bonus.

You’ll be comfortable designing surveys and using a range of data collection techniques, alongside a good understanding of UK health data sources. Just as importantly, you’ll be able to communicate complex findings in a clear and engaging way, helping others understand what the data is telling us and why it matters.

Job Summary
Working closely with the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, this role will support the delivery of high value corporate partnerships, including stewardship and engagement activities, as well as business development, identifying opportunities with aligned brands and up-coming charity of the year applications, to develop new corporate partnerships. The Senior International Safety and Compliance Officer is based in Conciliation Resources’ (CR’s) Core and Operations Department, and reports to the Chief Operating Officer. This Department provides support to CR’s three programmatic departments – the Europe/Asia Department, the Africa Department and the South-East Asia and Pacific Department, as well as to the Research, Advisory and Policy Department.

About the role

Reporting in to the National Events Manager, the Events Fundraising Officer will recruit and engage supporters, building trust and collaboration to strengthen Christian Aid’s event and DIY fundraising activity and maximise participation in challenge events. The Head of Fundraising and Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving Bowel Research UK's fundraising strategies and audience engagement initiatives.

This position is responsible for embedding and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing the charity’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.

You will have the autonomy and scope to drive elements of your work and take ownership of your own objectives. You will be required to collaborate on decisions to shape and deliver initiatives, programmes and processes as required for each area of income delivery. 

Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising – an area that is underdeveloped at Bowel Research UK. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of Fundraising role, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser. Experience across other income streams would be a huge benefit as the role leads all fundraising income streams, but experience in individual giving is essential.

The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream.
