This role sits within Race Against Dementia’s small, dynamic Fundraising and Marketing team, which raises income in the UK from individuals, major donors, trusts and foundations, and community fundraisers. The team works closely together to build awareness, inspire support, and deliver exceptional experiences for our donors and supporters.
Purpose of the Role
The Fundraising Officer plays a key role in delivering Race Against Dementia’s fundraising and marketing activity, helping to grow income and strengthen supporter relationships. The role combines operational excellence with creativity: managing systems, data and platforms to ensure effective delivery, while producing engaging content and stories that inspire action.
Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications
- Manage incoming communications to the fundraising team, ensuring timely, professional responses
- Maintain the CRM with up to date and accurate supporter information, and act as organisational lead on CRM best practice and management
- Set up dashboards and reporting systems in the CRM to monitor donor behaviours and patterns Provide regular updates and reports to the fundraising team on supporter behaviours, channel performance, trends etc. to inform strategy
Fundraiser communications and events
- Act as first point of contact for individuals and organisations fundraising for the charity
- Record and track all fundraising events and activities, implementing communication plans to welcome, support, and thank participants
- Work with the Public Fundraising and Marketing Lead to build digital and automated onboarding and stewardship journeys for community fundraisers
- Oversee the delivery of excellent stewardship for community fundraisers through responsive support, proactive communication and effective use of automated journeys to enhance their experience and results
- Build strategies to maximise fundraiser income, including targets, incentives etc.
- Lead on the planning and execution of fundraising engagement events, optimising the on-site experience and income generation potential.
- Support and coordinate fundraising volunteers for key engagement events, building a stewardship programme across the year
Fundraising Operations
- Manage our major fundraising platforms (e.g. Just Giving) to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Support the management of our legacy and in memory donations, delivering thoughtful and sensitive supporter communications
- Work with the Finance Manager on monthly direct debits and income reconciliation.
- Undertake research to identify new supporter, donor, trust/foundation and HNW prospects aligned with our mission
Logistics and Administration
- Maintain records of fundraising materials and merchandise, reordering stock as needed.
- Oversee the relationship with the fulfilment house to ensure smooth delivery of goods and supporter packs
- Track and manage auction items and raffle prizes, monitoring usage and income
- Support the delivery of key Race Against Dementia events, providing logistical support and ensuring excellent supporter experiences
- Maintain team calendars, campaign planners, and shared resources to support smooth team operations

As Youth Marketing Lead you’ll support a strategic marketing programme designed to connect a diverse new generation with UK museums and galleries. What the job involves
We’re seeking a Website Content Officer to join our Integrated Marketing and Media team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing and improving the content on our website, making sure it’s clear, accessible and meets the needs of our diverse audience.
Acting as the ‘voice of the user’, you’ll be responsible for publishing updates via our content management system (CMS), maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and accessibility across the site. You’ll oversee key areas, including the homepage, keeping information accurate, up to date, and easy to navigate.
You’ll work closely with teams across the Prostate Cancer UK to help shape their messages for the web, offering advice, guidance, and training where needed. Day to day, you’ll manage content schedules, review pages to identify improvements, and create or edit content to keep the site fresh and effective. You’ll also use digital analytics tools to monitor performance and suggest ways we can enhance the user experience.
As part of the Digital Marketing and Channels team, you’ll work closely with our email and social media teams to ensure our owned channels are aligned. You’ll lead on the delivery of our regular ‘News and Views’ articles in conjunction with our Strategic Communications team, and you’ll work closely with our Web Operations team to help identify and test new website features and fix technical issues.

The Role
The Financial Controller plays a critical role in safeguarding MSF UK’s resources so they can be used where they are needed most.
You will lead the financial accounting function, ensuring MSF UK’s finances are accurate, compliant and well-controlled, while also driving continuous improvement in systems and processes. Building on strong existing foundations, you will help modernise and streamline financial operations so they remain fit for a growing and increasingly complex organisation.
Working closely with the Director of Finance & Services, the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and colleagues across MSF UK and the wider MSF movement, you will ensure that financial stewardship actively supports humanitarian impact.
What You’ll Do
You will lead MSF UK’s financial accounting function, balancing rigour, efficiency and service. This includes:
- Ensuring strong financial stewardship: leading statutory accounts, audit, tax compliance and regulatory reporting, including to MSF International.
- Maintaining robust controls: safeguarding MSF UK’s assets through effective internal controls, risk management and reserves oversight.
- Overseeing core financial operations: ensuring accurate, timely processing of transactions, payments and financial records.
- Managing funds and grants: overseeing restricted and unrestricted funds and MSF grant flows, ensuring donor and organisational requirements are met.
- Leading systems and process improvement: driving automation, system enhancements and improvement projects to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Leading and developing the team: managing and supporting a high-performing financial accounting team and fostering a collaborative, improvement-focused culture.
- Trusted technical advisor: providing clear assurance and expert accounting and tax advice to senior leaders, trustees and colleagues.
About You
You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant experience leading a financial accounting function in a complex organisation. You bring strong technical expertise, sound judgement and a commitment to integrity and transparency.
You are:
- Confident leading statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance.
- Experienced in improving systems and processes, including through technology and automation.
- A collaborative leader who values developing people and building strong relationships.
- Motivated by purpose, with a desire to use your skills to support a mission that matters.
Experience in the charity sector, managing complex VAT environments or working within international organisations is desirable.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Development (New Business & Philanthropy) and working closely with our Development Managers, the Development Executive will play a crucial role in generating new income opportunities for the Trust. You will research, identify, and qualify prospects across corporates, trusts and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA) works with a community of global alumni and donors to deepen their ties with York and each other, and encourage them to support the University through York Giving. This role is part of the Individual Philanthropy Team, which manages major individual philanthropy and the legacy giving programme, working closely with the other OPPA teams:
Corporate and Foundation Philanthropy: developing long term, strategic partnerships with philanthropic corporate and foundation supporters.
Fundraising Programmes: managing mass fundraising appeals, crowdfunding campaigns, community fundraising and student projects.
Operations and Experience: providing business intelligence, information and insight, governance and stewardship of supporter and alumni relationships, and managing all mass communications with alumni and supporters.

About the Role
The role of Philanthropy Manager is to inspire and encourage philanthropic income from major individual donors to the University of York. You will work to build engagement and involvement of potential major donors and colleagues across the University to develop and deliver a pipeline of significant philanthropic gifts to York Giving’s priority projects.
You will manage a portfolio of major donor prospects and have responsibility and accountability for fund management and other priority projects for philanthropic funding, including liaising with academic theme coordinators.
This is a demanding and rewarding role that requires resilience and a long term view. The post holder will work to individual financial cash and pledge targets and KPIs based on meetings, moves, proposals and asks made.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

Director of Transformation (DDaT)
A leading national charity is seeking an Interim Director of Transformation (DDaT) to guide the organisation through a crucial 18 month period of modernisation. This is a senior mandate suited to someone with broad technology leadership experience in fundraising charities of around 100–250 employees, and the capability to drive major transformation programmes to completion, including a significant CRM migration and the development of a modern data platform.
In this role, you’ll take responsibility for ensuring the charity’s technology architecture is coherent, scalable and secure, overseeing key platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365/Azure, and the charity’s evolving data lakehouse. You’ll bring structure to delivery and operations, managing internal teams and external partners, strengthening SLAs, and championing agile ways of working to ensure the organisation receives a high-quality, modern, and responsive technology service.
You’ll also lead the organisation through a substantial period of change, working closely with fundraising, digital, and operational teams to ensure technology aligns with strategic goals, particularly the ambition to scale income and deepen supporter engagement. Strong stakeholder management will be essential, as you will advise senior leaders and the Board on technology, risk, cybersecurity, and organisational readiness, while helping staff navigate a major shift in the charity’s digital and data capability.
Key skills & experience
- Senior, broad technology leadership within fundraising charities or similarly complex NFP environments (approx. 100–250 staff).
- Strong transformation experience across digital, CRM, data platforms, governance, and cloud architecture.

I’m delighted to be supporting a leading UK cultural arts charity to recruit a Youth Marketing Lead, for 12 a month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead meaningful work that connects the next generation with culture.
This role will provide leadership and continuity for the organisation’s youth-focused marketing activity, while also adding capacity during the development and implementation of a new CRM. Working closely with the Head of Youth Marketing, you will help shape and deliver an inclusive, research-led marketing strategy designed to engage a diverse range of young people and educators with museums across the UK.
Acting as deputy to the Head of Marketing, you will provide senior oversight and coordination across youth marketing activity, with particular responsibility for the growth and evolution of two successful membership products. This includes leading multi-channel acquisition and retention campaigns, developing partnerships with higher and further education providers, and ensuring all activity is inclusive and accessible.
You will also play a key role in CRM transformation, support new initiatives such as bulk purchasing and gifting, and line manage and mentor team members to maximise impact and income generation.
About you:
- Substantial experience in delivering marketing campaigns aimed at young people.
- Experience of working with fundraisers (major gift, or corporate)
- Excellent knowledge of marketing discipline and techniques, across a range of channels, including use digital technology
