This position requires you to think strategically and tactically to ensure the right content gets to the right audience.

You will also have oversight of OCCA’s brand image and reputation and will be responsible for developing the communications plan and for shaping the storytelling narrative through compelling campaigns and media products.  To achieve this, you will work with the organisational leadership team, to implement their vison and objectives.

We are a registered Christian charity based in Oxford, with a collaborative working culture and welcoming atmosphere. You will join a small, dynamic team during an exciting period of transformation and development.

The key skills, qualifications and competencies that we are looking for are outlined below (a more detailed list is included in the job description):

  • Significant experience in a similar role, with time in a management or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to combine creative and critical thinking to craft compelling, fit-for-purpose media products
  • High level of technical ability around social media, websites, intranets, and other digital platforms.
  • Experience across a range of media including Digital, Print, TV and/or Radio.
  • Ability to think strategically and technically, adjust seamlessly to shifting priorities, influence key decision makers, and to thrive in a collaborative and entrepreneurial business environment.
  • Highly organised and adaptable, willing to work on multiple deliverables in parallel and to deadlines;
  • Ability to work under pressure, on multiple tasks and to deadlines
  • A team player, with a pro-active approach, geared towards working in a collaborative environment.

Please note: as a result of our Christian ethos, this post is covered by a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under the Equality Act 2010. The successful applicant will be expected to be a practicing Christian with a mature faith and to clearly demonstrate a personal commitment to the statement of faith and values, as well as the mission, principles and practices of the charity.

You will also need to provide proof of your right to work in the UK as part of the application process.
