Job description

What the job involves

With an ambitious strategy and an ever-increasing profile Prostate Cancer UK is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation; and we are recruiting a Sports Engagement Manager to help develop and drive our sport engagement strategy going forwards.

As a key role in the Partnership team, you will be providing leadership, support and strategic direction whilst project managing our cross organisational sport strategy. You will set the pace, drive conversations, lead steering groups and offer professional expertise where it’s needed to find opportunities to add value to multiple directorates.

What we want from you

By offering leadership, support and strategic direction you will help take our sport engagement to the next level by ensuring that we are providing a proactive, energetic and professional service to sport partners, enabling them to join our ambitious journey to tame prostate cancer in ten years.

You must be a strong leader with line management experience and extensive sports project manager and/or strategist experience. You are creative, energetic, tenacious and persuasive with the ability to translate our work into commercial propositions uniquely aligned to sport partnerships.

Why work for us?
We have a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer.

Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support, we can make prostate cancer a disease the next generation of men need not fear. Be part of a team that will put an end to prostate cancer being a killer.

The support we’ll provide

Join our team and you’ll be working at an award-winning charity that will help you learn, develop your skills and expertise, and achieve your highest aspirations. We provide everything you’d expect from a professional organisation – competitive benefits package, contributory pension scheme, life insurance and season ticket loan – but much more besides. Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we fight for a better future for men.
