Westway Trust is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Manager: Communications & Marketing – to lead the Communications and Marketing function, developing and delivering integrated strategies that build Westway Trust’s profile, deepen stakeholder engagement, and amplify the impact of the Trust’s community-centred work across North Kensington.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Management and leadership of the communications and marketing team.
• Deliver effective two-way communications activities that reach Westway Trust’s key audiences and give the Trust a good understanding of stakeholder sentiment.
• Be responsible for building and managing strategic partnerships. 
• Be responsible for the impact measurement of the Trust’s engagement and consultation activities. 
• Develop and deliver innovative marketing activities including newsletters that effectively promote the activities of the Trust and certain beneficiaries.
• Work with appropriate stakeholders to build and deliver a marketing and communications strategy to promote the Portobello area including associated materials, digital platforms and activity.
• Develop and deliver a strong strategy for the use of social media and website platforms in support of Westway Trust’s aims and objectives.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes:

The post holder will have strong management skills, experience of working in complex marketing and communications environments, an ability to work across a range of communications and marketing disciplines, and a commitment to working alongside the people of North Kensington.

Essential:

• Proven track record of developing and delivering high-quality marketing and communications strategies across multiple channels.
• Strong copywriting skills including news features, press releases, social media, marketing materials and executive communications.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and navigating sensitive issues.
• Experience managing and developing a team to deliver a wide range of work to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrable experience managing budgets and external contractors/suppliers.
• Track record of advising senior executives and gaining buy-in for strategic plans.
• Solid understanding of digital marketing including SEO, Google Ads, CMS platforms, email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp), and Google Analytics.
• Experience in PR and media relations, including building and maintaining a press database.

About you

You will love autonomy and will enjoy working collaboratively across the fundraising department and wider organisation. You’ll be a retention specialist with plenty of experience leading digital and traditional direct marketing programmes, and you’ll be able to take a strategic approach to delivery, independently taking on key areas of the retention and upgrade programmes.

You’ll be fully responsible for planning and assessing the fundraising campaigns you lead, and you’ll focus on optimising performance to deliver income and a retained, loyal base of supporters to power our fundraising and campaigns. You’ll draw on key retention metrics, and you’ll have our supporters at the heart of your decision-making to inform stewardship.

About you

We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with keen interest in the charity sector, particularly in humanitarian work. The ideal candidate will have a range of cross-channel experience, ideally in the charity sector and in an Individual Giving team, with a particular focus on retention and engagement activity. We are looking for someone with the passion to drive and improve our retention and engagement campaigns, to critically review campaigns and implement improvements, and to put their own stamp on the role.

About the role

The Senior Individual Giving Executive will play a key part in the delivery of the Individual Giving programme, producing sector-leading comms and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters. You will work closely with the rest of the IG team and the Fundraising and Communications Department to deliver high-quality, data-led campaigns across a range of marketing channels. The role will include campaign delivery, budgeting, strategy and planning, managing relationships with key suppliers and driving continuous campaign improvement.

This role will focus predominantly on retention and engagement activity, with a particular focus on mailings, emails and telemarketing, amongst other channels, though there is flexibility for this to change in the future.

About this job

We’re looking for a proactive Production Manager to drive the planning, coordination and delivery of digital, creative and content projects that support our engagement goals.

This is a key delivery role within our Digital delivery and planning team as part of the Engagement department. You will help to traffic and coordinate a wide range of small‑to‑medium projects, ensuring work is well‑planned, on track and clearly communicated.

You’ll play an important role in stakeholder management, keeping projects within agreed timeframes and resourcing constraints, while supporting the smooth flow of work across our department.

You’ll work closely with digital project managers and specialists within our team and stakeholders across the organisation, helping turn ideas into high‑quality output.

What you will do

You’ll be responsible for:

• Reviewing incoming briefs and leading an effective triage process to ensure work is prioritised, scoped and resourced appropriately
• Working closely with people across the team to ensure we communicate effectively with teams who commission work with us, from across the organisation
• Account management and monitoring of progress, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders at every stage
• Managing the day‑to‑day traffic, our production inbox and updates, scheduling and coordination of projects, working together with people across our department and external suppliers
• Supporting the digital project managers and senior leads by:
  • Developing and maintaining project plans and scope of work outlines
  • Writing up meeting notes and actions
  • Undertaking basic risk assessments and reporting 
• End‑to‑end coordination and management of smaller projects where relevant
• Effective resource management, reporting and evaluation to inform better planning
• Driving continuous improvement in production workflows, helping to embed consistent, efficient and scalable processes across the team
• Supporting with the running of the quarterly planning cycle, including team coordination and communications to all relevant stakeholders across the organisation
• Monitoring and reporting on progress

Who we are looking for

• Experience coordinating or managing digital, content or creative projects
• Confidence juggling multiple workstreams and keeping projects on track
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with project management or workflow tools
• Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working collaboratively with creatives and stakeholders
• An interest in digital delivery, planning, content production and continuous improvement

The Head of Marketing will join a small team in London to support the delivery of marketing activity at Providence Row. The role is key within the organisation, and you will contribute to the overall leadership of Providence Row as a member of the wider management team. Core responsibilities within your role will be:

• To support with the development of the annual marketing strategy

ABOUT YOU

The Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies UK (CVAA) aims to improve adoption policy and practice across the UK for the benefit of children, challenging the adoption system to deliver for children and work in their best interests. Alongside advocating for system change, CVAA works to support our member voluntary adoption agencies (VAAs) across the four nations of the UK, stimulating innovation and ensuring they stay at the leading edge of practice. The active engagement of members and the building of collaborative alliances with others who seek positive change for children are essential to the effectiveness of our work.

The Head of Policy is a vital member of the small CVAA team, working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to champion the voluntary adoption sector and put children at the heart of everything we do. Due to maternity leave we have an exceptional and unique opportunity for someone who shares our passion to change the world for children, to gain valuable experience working at national level with senior stakeholders to contribute to system change, advocating for the power of adoption to change lives.

You will need strong people skills, experience of developing policy in consultation with stakeholders and using data to transform services and strengthen lobbying work. Most of all you need a cast iron commitment to change the world for vulnerable children.
