About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Finance and Income Operations to lead NFFN’s finance function and help strengthen the systems, controls and reporting that will support the organisation’s next stage of growth.

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of a small, ambitious and mission-led organisation. You will oversee day-to-day financial management, budgeting, management accounts, restricted funds, funder reporting and income operations. You will also help improve how finance works across NFFN, giving budget holders clearer information and helping the organisation make confident, well-informed decisions.

The role is about more than keeping the numbers moving. We are looking for someone who can help build a stronger finance function, improve internal systems, support funder confidence, and help NFFN manage a more complex mix of grants, donations, restricted funding and revenue-based delivery work.

Depending on your background, this may suit someone with strong charity finance experience, or someone from a finance, grants, funding operations or mission-led commercial background who wants to use their skills in a values-led organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• leading day-to-day financial management, controls and reporting

• preparing budgets, forecasts, management accounts and financial updates

• supporting budget holders with clear, practical financial information

• improving finance systems, processes, approvals and reporting tools

• overseeing restricted funds, grant conditions, funder reporting and income tracking

• supporting funding applications with budgets, financial information and reporting structures

• helping NFFN manage VAT, full cost recovery and different types of income as the organisation grows

• working with the CEO, CSO, Head of Fundraising, SLT, Board and external advisers

• providing line management to the Head of Fundraising and potential future roles within the finance and income operations function 

This role will suit someone who combines financial rigour with practical judgement. You will need to be comfortable working independently in a remote organisation, explaining finance clearly to non-finance colleagues, and improving systems in a way that is proportionate and realistic for a small non profit organisation.

We know this is a broad role, and we are not expecting one person to have done everything before. We are looking for someone with strong financial experience, good judgement, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping NFFN build the financial infrastructure it needs for the future.

This is a fully home-based role, with flexibility in how work is managed and occasional travel for team meetings and events. You will be joining a collaborative, values-led team working to support farmers, nature and a more resilient food system.

The Advocacy Director holds primary responsibility for delivering ECC’s advocacy strategy internationally and within the UK. This strategy aims to ensure states’ legal obligations on casualty recording are recognised and upheld globally, and that casualty data is used effectively to shape policy responses to conflict.

ECC’s advocacy work is focused primarily within the human rights and humanitarian multilateral fora in Geneva, but also incorporates work with New York-based UN targets within the security field. In parallel, as a UK-based organisation, we seek to influence domestic decision-makers including those within the FCDO, MoD, and parliament.

The Advocacy Director will be ECC's most senior external face after the Executive Director. As a key figure within a small organisation, the Advocacy Director will lead advocacy activity directly, building and stewarding relationships with state delegations, UK parliamentarians, UN officials, and civil society partners. The role requires exceptional political judgment, fluency across both multilateral and Westminster environments, and the credibility to represent ECC at the most senior national and international levels.

We are looking for a Community Support Coordinator for Kent, who will lead and develop a team of Volunteers, helping to deliver safe, inclusive and person-centred support.

You will work closely with health and social care professionals, MDT’s, local partners and volunteers to connect people affected by MND with the information, services and support they need.

At the Motor Neurone Disease Association, we work to improve care, support and quality of life for people affected by MND. As a Community Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring our support reaches people when they need it most.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop and support a team of Community Support Volunteers.
• Respond to enquiries and referrals, providing information and connecting people with appropriate support.
• Build effective relationships with health and social care professionals, hospices and local partners.
• Support volunteer groups and branches to understand and respond to local needs.
• Facilitate collaboration between volunteers, staff and external stakeholders.
• Promote safe and inclusive services, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and organisational policies.
• Work with regional colleagues to support awareness, fundraising and campaigning activities.
• Monitor activity, maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.
• Identify gaps in local support and contribute to improvements in services.
• Encourage effective communication and engagement across the volunteer network

About You

• Experience leading, managing or coordinating volunteers or volunteer-led services.
• Understanding of care and support services within the statutory, voluntary or private sectors.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and supporting people at risk of harm.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and presentation skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the region
• Experience supporting people and assessing needs using a person-centred approach.
• Ability to build partnerships and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and make decisions independently.
• Good IT skills and confidence using a range of digital systems.

This is a home-based role with frequent travel across Kent

You will be comfortable working across a broad remit, including governance, risk, HR, IT and data protection, and confident providing clear, practical advice to senior leaders and trustees.

Person specification

Key requirements include:

• Significant senior-level experience in operations, governance or compliance within a charity or similar environment. 
• Strong understanding of charity governance and regulation, with experience supporting boards and senior leadership. 
• Experience overseeing organisational functions such as HR, IT, data protection or risk. 
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-organisational work effectively. 
• Strong judgement, integrity and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
