Job Summary for Senior Data Manager

• A senior data leadership role sitting at the heart of the Data & IT function, reporting to the CFO and working in close partnership with the Senior IT Manager — with this role taking lead responsibility for all things data
• Own and lead the charity's data strategy, working collaboratively with senior leadership to shape a forward-looking, insight-driven organisation
• Take full ownership of CRM operations (Raiser's Edge NXT), driving adoption, optimisation and continuous improvement to ensure the charity is truly getting the most from the system — unlocking the data, trends and insight within it
• Hold overall responsibility for the Charity Automation Roadmap, driving systems integration and automation to reduce manual effort and improve data flows across the organisation

Help shape the future of income generation at Alopecia UK. This newly created role offers a rare opportunity to build and lead fundraising at a small but ambitious national charity.

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Fundraising Manager to lead our next phase of income growth. As our first dedicated fundraising leadership role, you will develop and deliver a multi-year income strategy, strengthen existing income streams, and identify new opportunities to diversify and grow our fundraising.

Working closely with the CEO and colleagues across the organisation, you will play a central role in helping Alopecia UK reach more people affected by alopecia and ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability. • Salary: £45,000 per annum, pro rata.
• Hours: Part-time (22.5 hours per week, flexible, during normal UK working hours we would consider a contract with fewer hours for the right candidate.  All of our team work Monday mornings to ensure connectivity.)

Strategic leadership

• Lead the development and implementation of a multi-year income generation strategy aligned to Alopecia UK priorities.
• Work across the organisation to ensure fundraising activity is fully integrated with operational delivery, partnering closely with the finance, communications and delivery managers to align plans, resources and messaging, and to ensure shared initiatives are realistic, coordinated and achievable.
• Translate insight from your experience and our recent fundraising strategy review into clear, achievable plans.

Income growth & diversification

As a part-time role within a small charity, the postholder will need to carefully prioritise income-generating opportunities alongside stewardship and relationship management. In year one, a key focus will be establishing effective donor pathways through the rollout of our new CRM, ensuring supporters experience clear and meaningful journeys with the charity. Alongside this, the Senior Fundraising Manager will assess and determine which early opportunities for growth should be prioritised. While areas such as community fundraising, digital campaigns and regular giving are likely to offer early potential, the postholder will lead decisions on where to focus effort and investment to generate the strongest returns.

• Leverage and optimise existing community and public fundraising activity to increase income and supporter numbers.
• Develop and grow new revenue streams, to potentially include digital fundraising campaigns, regular giving, trusts and grants, and legacy giving.
• Lead creatively and intellectually on compelling campaigning initiatives that drive engagement and income.
• Provide excellent stewardship to ensure funders and partners feel valued, engaged and motivated to continue their support.

CRM

• Support the design and rollout of our first CRM system, working closely with the Finance & Operations Manager to design fit-for-purpose donor journeys and pathways, establish meaningful reporting frameworks and ensure data supports excellent stewardship and strategic decision-making.
• Use CRM data and financial information to track performance, analyse trends and adjust strategy as required.

Data & impact

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including ICO guidance, GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Work closely with the Finance & Operations Manager to ensure our data meaningfully represents organisational outcomes.
• Translate impact data into powerful, succinct and persuasive communications or compelling cases for support.

This role is primarily focused on strengthening and scaling voluntary income, leading a fundraising function, and building a robust, future-proofed income engine across the UK automotive community.

Marketing & Communications will play a critical supporting responsibility, ensuring strong brand positioning, audience engagement, and compelling storytelling that underpins fundraising success.

The postholder will also shape the future fundraising operating model and support a smooth transition to a permanent Director.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Income Growth

• Lead the development of an ambitious, income-led Fundraising Strategy aligned to the 2030 organisational strategy
• Drive growth across a diversified voluntary income portfolio, including:
  • Individual & Regular Giving
  • Legacy fundraising
  • Corporate partnerships across the UK automotive sector
  • Community fundraising and events
  • Digital fundraising and supporter journeys
• Build and scale compelling fundraising propositions tailored to the automotive community
• Strengthen income pipelines, forecasting, and KPI frameworks, ensuring clarity on short, medium, and long-term revenue generation
• Embed a culture of performance, accountability, and income optimisation, using data and insight to drive decision-making
• Identify and unlock new income opportunities, partnerships, and funding streams.

Supporter Engagement & Income Enablement

• Lead the development of end-to-end supporter journeys that drive acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
• Ensure audience insight and segmentation are embedded across all fundraising activity
• Strengthen supporter stewardship, ensuring high-quality engagement that translates into long-term income growth
• Foster innovation, testing, and continuous improvement across fundraising channels

Marketing & Communications

• Work with senior leaders and managers to refine and document insight-led marketing and communications delivery plans to increase awareness and engagement
• Strengthen digital reach across the UK automotive workforce and retired community
• Enhance brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling to grow both service uptake and supporter engagement
• Oversee audience segmentation and insight to inform engagement and behaviour change
• Ensure high-quality campaigns and content across digital, PR, social, and partnership channels.

Cross-Organisational Leadership

• Model collaborative, high-performance leadership aligned to organisational values
• Work closely with Impact and Service teams to ensure engagement activity reflects real community needs and insight
• Contribute to organisation-wide planning, budgeting, and transformation.

Team Leadership & Capacity Building

• Lead and support Fundraising, Supporter Engagement and Awareness & Experience teams through a period of transition and change
• Identify capability gaps and implement solutions (training, reshaping, recruitment)
• Strengthen systems, processes, and performance reporting to support long-term sustainability and growth.

Person Specification

Experience

• Significant senior leadership experience in Fundraising and MarComms within the charity sector
• Proven track record delivering fundraising strategies and measurable income and engagement outcomes
• Demonstrable success across individual giving, corporate partnerships, and digital fundraising
• Strong experience in brand, marketing, and digital engagement
• Experience leading teams through organisational change or transition
• Experience building and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
• Ideally, experience engaging large communities, workforce-based audiences, or membership groups.

• Knowledge of multi-channel fundraising and modern marketing approaches

Events and Community Coordinator - Remote (UK based) – 0.8FTE

• Salary: £30,000 for 0.8 FTE (£37,500 FTE equivalent) + 5% pension + 25 days holiday

The Role

• Act as the designated Quality Review Partner for a portfolio of imaging services across the UK.

• Manage the full review cycle for services in your portfolio.

• Participate in quality assurance and moderation activities to ensure consistency and rigour.

Together for Short Lives is looking for a driven and creative Business Development Manager to develop and secure high‑value corporate partnerships that will help transform the lives of seriously ill children and their families. You’ll lead our business development strategy, build a strong pipeline of opportunities, and develop lasting relationships with prospective and existing supporters.

Purpose of role

The Business Development Manager will lead our efforts to secure high-profile, high-value partnerships with corporate organisations  that will generate vital income for children's palliative care. Securing new partnerships and growing our income requires exceptional collaboration skills; a driven, tenacious and resourceful nature; innovation and creativity; and a passionate determination to make a difference to the lives of children and families across the UK.

The main objectives are as follows:

1. Secure new corporate partnerships raising funds to support Together for Short Lives’ direct work, and our National Fundraising Scheme (raising funds on behalf of the UK’s children’s hospices).
2. Develop and deliver a business development strategy, including  prospect research, managing  a robust pipeline of opportunities, and developing a diverse range of business development products. 
3. Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of individual contacts and organisations, including prospective and existing supporters.
