We are thrilled as always to be working with the incredible national children’s charity Barnardo’s as they look for a Senior Marketing Manager (Fostering & Adoption) to join their team and lead a critical area of their work.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior leadership role, shaping and delivering innovative, data-led marketing strategies that directly support the recruitment of foster carers and adoptive parents across the UK.
As part of this pivotal role, you will lead the development of integrated national and regional marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring they deliver against ambitious recruitment targets. You’ll oversee a multi-disciplinary team, driving a culture of insight-led, audience-first marketing across both digital and offline channels. You will also play a key role in stakeholder engagement, working closely with senior leaders across services to align marketing activity with organisational priorities.
To be successful as the Senior Marketing Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience leading integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level across a complex organisation

We are delighted to be working with a leading health charity to recruit a Senior Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager on a fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering significant income through gifts in wills and in-memory giving.
This role plays a pivotal part in shaping and delivering marketing strategies that drive long-term income growth, including a major multichannel campaign. You will lead on strategic planning, campaign delivery, and supporter stewardship, ensuring activity is integrated across the organisation to maximise impact.
You will also lead, motivate and develop a small but high-performing team, while working closely with senior stakeholders to align fundraising, marketing and relationship management functions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong experience in legacy (gifts in wills) and/or in-memory fundraising
- Proven ability to develop and deliver successful multichannel marketing campaigns
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience managing and developing teams, with excellent stakeholder management skills

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is delighted to partner with a well-established health charity on an exciting Senior Legacy Marketing Manager role. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful legacy and in-memory marketing strategies that drive long-term income and supporter engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver strategic plans for gifts in Wills and in-memory fundraising, aligning with organisational income targets.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team including two direct line reports, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
- Oversee multichannel campaigns, including innovative initiatives like a new TV campaign, ensuring timely delivery within budget and brand guidelines.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders to optimise campaign success and supporter experience.
- Drive stewardship initiatives to strengthen supporter relationships and maximise long-term value.
- Lead budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation, enhancing team capabilities in financial management.
- Contribute to operational planning and implement the organisation’s new in-memory strategy, ensuring cross-team alignment.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience managing gifts in Wills or in-memory fundraising teams within a charity or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of the fundraising landscape, with the ability to develop innovative and effective marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Skilled in project and budget management, with a track record of achieving financial targets.
- Experienced in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, for supporter segmentation and data analysis.
- Effective people manager who motivates teams and develops talent.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and tactful diplomacy.
