We are recruiting for Community Fundraising Lead to provide support and guidance to individuals and small groups of existing volunteers across a range of geographical areas, many of whom have been on a journey with the charity for decades, recognising their values whilst ensuring the updated mission of the charity is respected and communicated effectively. Working with both the Marketing and Income Generation teams, there will be opportunities to collaborate on projects and develop leads for support to maximise on fundraising activities and donor retention.

About You

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will be responsible for building on our existing community fundraising initiatives, which includes networks of loyal volunteers and church contacts – from international pilgrim participants completing fundraising treks to congregations organising bake sales. Liaising with people at all levels, the role will oversee initiatives such as our Ambassador programme, encouraging people to be confident representatives of the charity and ensure they are equipped to share key updates about national campaigns and community fundraising initiatives.

The Role

The objectives of the Communications and Campaigns team are to increase the public profiles of Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK, mobilise public support to bring about change and ensure that all colleagues are aware of, bought into and engaged in contributing to the values and direction of the charities. 

A natural storyteller, you will have a talent for creating shortform video content that engages key audiences across our social media platforms. By generating ideas and making them happen, sourcing contributors, shooting and editing footage, you will monitor the performance of posts and proactively incorporate best practice to ensure that content is well received by audiences, and that the charities’ presence on its social media channels grows.

You will regularly collaborate with colleagues across both charities, the other founding charities and key partners to create compelling and inspiring content.

Main duties include:

• Creating shortform video content
• Project manage the production of video content for social media campaigns
• Ensure that the charity showcases its advice, information, programmes and services through shortform content.
• Champion and promote the brands, including their tone of voice, in our creative content.
• Working with the Social Media Manager, plan for and produces engaging content for relevant awareness events, including Mental Health Awareness Week in May and World Mental Health Day in October.
• Analyse the performance of video content
• Help the team keep up with social media trends, spotting opportunities

About You

A content creator and social media expert you will have experience of planning, shooting and editing footage to engage audiences across different social media platforms and of using creative design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro - essential). With an eye for detail, you will use your project management skills to analyse the performance of social media content, refining and improving content through iteration.

You will also have experience of:

• Writing and editing copy to suit different audiences and providing updates and briefings at meetings.
• Being a brand guardian and supporting others to use brand and tone of voice guidelines.
• Planning, creating and scheduling engaging content across multiple social media channels, while optimising content by channel and audience.

About the Service

As part of an innovative pilot project, funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, Solace will be providing two specialist workers to support victim/survivors engaged in the perpetrator behaviour change programme as part of a conditional caution. The programme aims to address perpetrators behaviour and increase safety for victim/survivors. In doing so, it is essential that the V/S has holistic support to ensure any risks are identified and managed.

This is a pilot project and it is expected that there will be a considerable amount of testing and learning, trailing new ways of working to meet intended outcomes.

About the Role

You will be working closely in partnership with Police forces in North London, as well as the Hampton Trust, to provide support for victim/survivors engaged in the CARA programme. You will also be supporting Police Officers to discuss eligibility for the programme and conditional cautions. You will be developing and delivering a series of training and learning sessions for the Police. As a new project, you will be developing key partnership relations, to strengthen collaborative working between the Police and Solace. You will provide light touch support to survivors whose partners are engaged with the CARA program, assess risk and share key updates with Hampton Trust and the Police to ensure safety.

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of dynamic risk assessment and providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG.  As this is a pilot programme where the delivery model may change, a flexible and adaptive approach to your work is important as well as willingness to contribute to programme evaluation. Part of your time will be spent ensuring that Police colleagues have the information they need to effectively administer conditional cautions so you will work closely with Police, Hampton Trust to develop different training elements, a willingness to develop and deliver this material is essential.

A relevant qualification in VAWG is essential, as well as willingness to undergo Police vetting.

The Role

This exciting and high-profile role is responsible for leading on all operational HR & Facilities activity within the charity. The successful candidate will be central to providing a first class governance service to the IAPB board and it’s committees, whilst working across the organisation to ensure all operations are managed in a timely and efficient manner.

Governance

· Provide administrative support to the Board and sub-committees, including scheduling meetings (including annual AGM), supporting the CEO and Deputy CEO in drafting agendas, preparing, collating and distributing papers, and minuting meetings.

· Acting as the key point of contact for members of the Board.

· With the CEO and Deputy CEO, track key deliverables and action points and follow up on outstanding items.

· Assisting with the election, appointment and reappointment processes for board and committee members.

· Manage trustee onboarding, training, and compliance requirements.

· Maintain board records and listings.

· Supporting the Deputy CEO to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.  

Operations

· Assist in the daily management of IAPB operations, including correspondence, scheduling and record-keeping.

The renewal of Methodist worship is highlighted in God for All 2025-32 as a significant commitment.

This exciting and varied role offers the opportunity to facilitate the music aspects of Methodist worship renewal across The Connexion. High-quality music is central to Methodist worship and this role will combine a significant amount of resource development, hands-on training and delivery online and in local circuits and Districts.

In this role, you will also have particular responsible for growing, fostering, nurturing and developing the community of church musicians, being responsible for networks, communication and all aspects of training and development. Additionally, you will play a leading role in working to develop the music aspects of The Resource Hub (formerly Singing the Faith +). Finally, you will work with congregations and circuits where there are no church musicians, to support high quality music within worship in those contexts.

We are seeking to appoint someone with a strong sense of what musical excellence in worship looks like. Alongside this, you will believe deeply in the importance of wide congregational participation in worship. You will have an ability to translate the best of Methodist tradition for a contemporary setting. The role will require someone who is a natural communicator and skilled facilitator, able to work across the broad range of worshipping and musical traditions within The Methodist Church, and a gifted musician. About the Role:

• Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our service throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
• Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing the harm caused by opiate use, either through group sessions or one-on-one engagement.
• Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused detoxification plan, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support.
• Collaborate with other organisations and the community to enhance the recovery resources available to service users by referring them to mutual aid groups and other networks.
• Advocate for the involvement of family members, service users, and the community.
• Serve as a voice for service users in accessing partnership services.
• Work closely with service users to facilitate their social (re)integration, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purpose-driven lives. This includes promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
