The University of Warwick is one of the most successful young universities in the UK. With a dynamic and forward-thinking culture, and a reputation for combining innovation with the relentless pursuit of excellence, it is firmly established within the top 10 of all UK university rankings, and currently 62nd in the world. Its Development and Alumni Engagement office is on a similar trajectory, challenged to raise the funds needed to take the University and its students to the next level. Philanthropic Trust and Foundations are in a special position to help the University to build on its many achievements.

To help meet this challenge, the University is looking to recruit a Trusts and Foundations Development Executive to contribute towards a big gift fundraising strategy that maximises fundraising income and helps to build a culture of philanthropy at the University of Warwick. You will have responsibility for developing a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, developing high quality funding propositions, strategic relationships and securing major (£100,000+) and principal (£1 million+) gifts from some of the world’s largest trusts and foundations.

Working to prepare both project-led and donor-led applications, this position will be responsible for leading groups of cross-disciplinary academics to develop novel funding proposals.

It is anticipated that this role will deliver at least £1.5 million per year, playing an important role in supporting the ambition of the Development team to deliver new levels of philanthropy at Warwick.

You will maintain consistently high levels of professionalism in how you communicate and engage with donors; playing a key role in building an extended community of philanthropists, demonstrating the capability to secure lead donor meetings.

This role will require self-awareness, and the capacity for problem-solving through creativity and lateral thinking. The role will regularly work with senior university leadership and administration.
