About the Programme
The Foundation has been awarded a £2.1m grant by the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to deliver a pilot as part of its Grant Holder Support programme. This pilot, Investing in the Power of Civil Society (IIPCS), will support up to 640 charities across the Northwest, Southwest of England and Yorkshire and Humber.

Delivered in partnership with eight organisations — IVAR, Groundwork UK and local trusts, CAST, The School for Social Entrepreneurs, NCVO, Voice4Change England, the AVOCADO Foundation and Access (advisory) — the pilot will offer diagnostic-led, tailored and relational support to help organisations strengthen their work.

Support will focus on resilience, environmental impact, readiness for AI and digital technology, enabling participating charities to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. With a strong emphasis on equity and access, the pilot is designed to ensure organisations of all sizes and backgrounds can benefit.

We will be using a test-and-learn approach — trying out new ways of supporting charities, learning from what works and what doesn’t, and using those insights to improve future programmes. This approach will help shape NLCF’s future support for both grant holders and grant seekers, strengthen the Foundation and partners’ own development practice, and contribute to wider learning across the sector.

About the Role

As Programme Lead, you’ll have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of this ambitious and collaborative pilot. You’ll lead a multi-partner consortium, oversee a £2.1m budget, and ensure that up to 640 charities receive high-quality, equitable support.

You’ll manage delivery, governance, performance, and learning, while championing a test-and-learn approach that generates insights for the Foundation, the National Lottery Community Fund, and the wider sector. You’ll also lead a small team and play an active role in the Foundation’s leadership group.

The role

As Project Manager of a new, three-year partnership project working with military support organisations, you will lead the planning, delivery and performance monitoring of a national programme offering bereavement support to those affected by military deaths. This role requires a balance of excellent organisational skills, partnership management and internal project team management. You will also be expected to have or develop a compassionate understanding of the sensitivities surrounding grief, trauma and military culture.

The postholder will be responsible for implementing project structures, ensuring the delivery of all aspects of the programme, reporting progress to internal and external stakeholders, resolving challenges and providing persuasive and effective leadership of the project to strengthen the networks of care within military and civilian communities.

Role

We seek a Finance Manager to lead the day to day running of the charity’s finances including overseeing the work of our outsourced financial provider. As a grant giving organisation, there will be regular interaction with the programmatic workstreams in this position, offering a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to increase the capacity of a field-leading charity, help empower researchers in the Global South, and contribute to one of the world’s most important climate debates. Working with the COO, you will undertake organisational financial planning, budgeting and forecasting so that the senior staff and trustees have comprehensive information for decision making. Responsibilities

As this is a new role, responsibilities are expected to evolve but some key items include:

• Financial Oversight: Overseeing the outsourced finance provider, ensuring service delivery meets organisational needs and deadlines. You will be the primary liaison between our financial services provider and the staff, ensuring that they make payments on behalf of the organisation, runs payroll, completes the bookkeeping via QuickBooks, the monthly management accounts, and the annual statutory accounts. 
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparing and monitoring annual organisational budgets including a mid-year adjustment, cash flow forecasts, financial models and annual accounts to support the annual business cycle and fundraising bids.
• Reporting: Finalising monthly management accounts prepared by outsourced financial provider, deliver financial reports for the COO, senior leadership, and trustees, and preparing donor financial reporting.
• Financial Strategy and Investment Oversight: Working with the COO to manage financial resources and reserves including developing the investment policy to support the long-term goals of the charity.
• Audit & Compliance: Leading on annual audits, maintain compliance with UK charity finance regulations, and ensure adherence to funder requirements.
• Programmatic financial support: Working closely with the programmes teams to ensure their payments processes run smoothly with the outsourced financial provider, and regularly reviewing their grant and event expenditure is in line with their own managed budgets.

Digital Care Hub CIC (DCH) is the leading digital support organisation for adult social care providers in England. We provide practical guidance, resources, and leadership to help care services adopt and implement digital technologies safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory expectations. As digital transformation accelerates across health and care, Digital Care Hub plays a crucial role in shaping a future where technology enhances, rather than replaces, human-centred care. About the role
The Regional Strategic Manager will act as the main point of coordination and leadership for our work across all 9 regions, ensuring local support is high quality, consistent, and strategically aligned with national goals.

You will work closely with our Local Support Organisations (LSOs), local authorities, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), system partners and care associations to build strong regional networks, ensure insight flows between local and national levels, and embed DCH and Better Security, Better Care (BSBC) priorities.

Key responsibilities

Are you a brilliant event coordinator? Do you have experience developing training events? Can you spot opportunities to inspire, educate and engage audiences?  

The SLA supports approximately 2000 members with advice, training and advocacy across the UK. The Events Manager will form an essential part of the SLA team working to run a high quality, inspiring and engaging events and training to help us deliver on our mission to support members, so that more children and young people reach their full potential through the school library. You will lead on the organisation of our annual conference; develop and maintain a calendar of events and training for members and non-member audiences; and support the team with all event related administration and logistics.  Events at the SLA include member meet ups (in person and online), events in our branch network across 23 regions, professional development and training, and our SLA Awards ceremonies.

Your work will be at the forefront of our member offer, helping to build links with membership, support members, build relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors, delivering high-quality training and impactful events offer across the year. An agile and flexible thinker, you will be creative, with a flair for spotting opportunities for professional development, and have a keen eye for detail with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Using your project management experience, you will work with the CEO, SLA team colleagues and subject matter experts and facilitators to develop and deliver a high quality and competitive calendar of events and training.

As our Challenge Events Manager, you’ll lead, grow and deliver a programme of UK and overseas challenge events that inspire supporters and generate vital income for IAPWA.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Delivery

• Develop and manage an annual portfolio of owned, third-party and virtual challenge events
• Lead on budgets, timelines, risk assessments and operational plans
• Coordinate logistics with event partners, suppliers and internal teams
• Ensure all events meet compliance, safeguarding and health & safety standards

Participant Recruitment & Stewardship

• Deliver marketing and recruitment strategies to drive sign-ups
• Manage the full supporter journey, from registration through to post-event stewardship
• Provide outstanding supporter care that boosts satisfaction and retention
• Monitor and support participants’ fundraising progress

Income Generation & Financial Management

• Set and manage income and expenditure budgets
• Track financial performance and report against KPIs
• Identify opportunities to maximise net income and diversify the event portfolio

Marketing & Communications

• Create compelling promotional campaigns
• Develop engaging content for digital channels, email journeys and printed materials
• Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications

Partnerships & Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with event organisers, corporate partners, suppliers and ambassadors
• Negotiate contracts to secure best value
• Represent IAPWA at events, expos and community gatherings

Data, Insights & Reporting

• Maintain accurate event and participant data within our CRM
• Analyse trends to improve future events
• Produce clear reports for senior management and trustees

Team Leadership

• Line manage a small team of volunteer Adventure Coordinators
• Provide coaching, development and performance management
• Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture
• Develop the team in line with the growing Adventures for Animals initiative

Experience & Skills

Essential

• Proven experience delivering successful challenge or mass-participation events
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple events
• Experience in digital marketing and supporter acquisition
• Excellent interpersonal and supporter care skills
• Experience using CRM and fundraising platforms (e.g. Enthuse, JustGiving)
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends/evenings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident budget management
• Creative, proactive problem-solver

Desirable

• Experience within the charity sector

• Leading the development of evidence-based policy positions to improve access, quality, and sustainability of palliative and end-of-life care.
• Analysing complex policy developments, identifying opportunities to influence at national and local levels.
• Building and managing strategic relationships with policymakers, sector leaders, and other key stakeholders.
• Acting as a spokesperson for Marie Curie, representing the charity in the media, at conferences, and in political forums.

Who we are looking for: 

We are seeking a proactive and creative Senior Events Fundraising Officer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about events fundraising and eager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio. You’ll play a key role in developing new fundraising events, supporting and inspiring colleagues, and delivering excellent supporter experiences that maximise income and impact.

The role will involve:

• Leading on a portfolio of owned and third-party fundraising events, including feasibility research, planning, marketing, participant recruitment, logistics, budgeting, and evaluation.
• Taking a lead role in the development of new fundraising events in collaboration with the Innovation Team, from research and proposals through to approval, delivery and evaluation.
• Providing first-class supporter care, ensuring participants feel valued and engaged, and that income and expenditure targets are met or exceeded.
• Working closely with marketing, press and PR colleagues to create and implement event promotion and communications plans, across both traditional and digital channels.
• Line managing and supporting Events Officers where appropriate, and deputising for the Events Fundraising Manager when required.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and event providers to ensure effective delivery and the best possible experience for supporters.
• Overseeing volunteer recruitment and stewardship plans to increase engagement and retention.
