About the role

This role is a combination of training and support. Our IT Operations and Data, Digital, and Technology Transformation teams help staff and volunteers across AIUK get the most out of the tools they use every day, from Microsoft Copilot to our Knowledge Hub and Salesforce CRM. As our Technology Training and Support Analyst, you'll be at the heart of that: running engaging training sessions, building clear guides and resources, and helping people feel confident with the technology behind our work.

You'll also provide day to day 1st and 2nd line technical support, keeping things running smoothly when issues come up and getting involved with IT projects. You'll play a key role in our Salesforce project between September 2026 and September 2027, working with our implementation partner to shape training for the new CRM and helping test it as it's built.

It's a role with real human rights impact. Every guide you write and session you run helps our colleagues do their campaigning, research, and advocacy work better.

Are you an experienced Data Analyst who can turn complex information into clear, actionable insight?

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in how GamCare uses data to understand performance, improve services and support evidence-based decision-making that will help make a difference to the lives of people affected by gambling-related harms.

Working across our services, you will analyse complex datasets, identify trends and opportunities, and translate your findings into meaningful recommendations. You will develop and maintain datasets, dashboards and reports, helping colleagues monitor performance, understand outcomes and demonstrate the impact of our work.

You will also review and improve the systems and processes that support service delivery, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and reliable. This will include developing automated solutions, improving reporting processes and working closely with colleagues across service, data and IT teams to help them access, understand and use data effectively.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need advanced experience of Power BI, including semantic models, star schemas, DAX, calculated columns, hierarchies and performance optimisation. You will also be proficient in Power Query Editor and M Language, with experience of Power BI datasets, dataflows, semantic layers and SQL for querying, transforming, testing and validating data from multiple sources.

You will bring experience from an analytical or data-focused role, working with large and complex datasets to produce reports, insights and recommendations. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail, knowledge of data governance and GDPR, and experience of handling sensitive data.

You will also need the ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively and identify improvements to systems and processes.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and inquisitive Data Analyst to join our Translational Research team.

This role will support the generation, interpretation, and communication of research insights derived from a range of healthcare, clinical, patient-reported, and real-world datasets. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to help transform data into meaningful evidence that informs research, healthcare decision-making, policy development, and patient outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to provide professional safeguarding leadership across Alzheimer's Society, ensuring adults at risk receive safe, timely and person-centred support while helping shape safeguarding practice across a national charity.

You'll manage a team of Senior Safeguarding Officers and Safeguarding Officers, providing professional supervision, coaching and leadership. You'll oversee the management of complex safeguarding concerns, provide expert advice on safeguarding legislation and risk management, and ensure decisions are evidence-based, proportionate and aligned with statutory guidance.

You'll be at the heart of our safeguarding practice, balancing operational leadership with strategic oversight. One day you may be supporting your team through a complex safeguarding concern, the next you'll be analysing safeguarding data, presenting assurance reports to senior leaders or driving improvements to safeguarding policy and practice.
Working collaboratively across the Society and with external safeguarding partners, you'll help create a culture where safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, ensuring people affected by dementia receive the highest standards of care, protection and support.

About you

You will have:

- A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g. BA, MA, DipSW) and current registration with Social Work England. 
- Experience leading or supervising safeguarding professionals, providing reflective supervision, coaching and professional development.
- Experience managing complex safeguarding concerns, providing professional oversight and supporting defensible decision-making.
- Experience undertaking quality assurance, audits or case reviews to improve safeguarding practice.
- Analytical skills with experience using safeguarding data to identify trends, monitor quality and drive service improvement.
- Communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise, support and challenge colleagues and senior stakeholders.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.
- An understanding of dementia and a commitment to championing the needs of people affected by dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the escalation point for safeguarding concerns, supporting defensible decision-making and organisational assurance.
- Promote high-quality safeguarding practice through professional guidance, coaching and quality assurance.
- Lead safeguarding audits, thematic reviews and quality improvement activity to strengthen safeguarding practice across the Society.
- Analyse safeguarding data to identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce reports and assurance information for senior leaders, governance groups and safeguarding oversight processes.
- Build effective relationships with statutory agencies, safeguarding partnerships and external organisations.
- Contribute to the development of safeguarding policies, procedures, strategy and organisational learning.

IT Manager

Contract: Permanent 

Salary: £36,000- £40,000 per annum, pro rata depending on experience (based on a full-time equivalent salary of £45,000–£50,000) 

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week

About the Role 

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and develop our IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable and fit for the needs of the charity. Following a significant organisational structural change, you will have the opportunity to input into a review of the IT resourcing and will support the implementation of any resulting changes. 

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT and communications infrastructure while delivering an excellent service to colleagues across the organisation. Working closely with your team, external managed service provider and stakeholders, you'll ensure technology enables our staff to provide the best possible support to children and young people. 

This is a varied role combining operational oversight, supplier management, cyber security, infrastructure management and service delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Managing and developing the organisation's IT infrastructure across multiple UK sites.

• Ensuring colleagues have reliable IT equipment, connectivity and systems to work effectively.

• Supporting technology that enables young people in our homes to safely access education, communication and online services.

• Leading the IT helpdesk to deliver an excellent customer-focused support service.

• Maintaining robust cyber security, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.

• Managing IT budgets and ensuring value for money from suppliers and technology investments.

• Mimecast email security and archiving

• 3CX VoIP telephony (currently under review) 

• Third-party applications including ADP, Raiser's Edge, ClearCare, Charms, Access Finance and SolarWinds Service Desk

About You 

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent leadership and communication skills. You should have: 

• Experience managing an IT department or IT infrastructure.

• Experience administering Active Directory (on-premises), Microsoft 365 and Azure, including Exchange.

• Experience managing multi-site IT environments and WAN connectivity.

• Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery and cyber security best practice.

• Experience managing an IT helpdesk, ideally using SolarWinds or a similar service desk platform.

• Experience leading and developing staff.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience managing IT budgets and delivering value for money.

• A flexible approach with the ability to travel occasionally to services across London and the Midlands, and provide out-of-hours support for critical ICT incidents when required.
