Job description

NCVO is transforming the way it works. With a new strategic direction and leadership team, we are determined to work with our members so that charities and volunteering can thrive. As the country recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic and renews itself, charities and volunteering aren’t just vital support systems for communities in need – they’re at the heart of how people want to lead their lives.

You will work within the Support and services team providing high-quality training, capacity-building and consultancy.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Good knowledge of consultancy and training methods and approaches.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and facilitation skills ensuring effective working relationships with people at all levels.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent skills in facilitation and presentation, to engage a range of audiences.
  • Competence in project management software such as Dynamics 365 and/or PowerBI
  • Competence in analysis software such as MAXQDI, SPSS and/or Excel
  • Ability to summarise and present findings in a variety of formats including traditional report, data visualisation and/or dashboard.

  • A significant role in the delivery of high-quality, mixed-method, external evaluations or research in the UK VCS.
  • Designing and delivering training.
  • Project management – developing and delivering clear targets and working with colleagues to achieve outcomes.
  • Active commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

NCVO is fully committed to equity, diversity and inclusion in our sector. We want this to be reflected in the diversity of the people who work for us and we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and identities. We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented at NCVO. As part of our commitment to employing disabled people, all disabled candidates who meet the minimum requirement for all competencies on the person specification will be guaranteed an interview.

NCVO is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from everyone.
