Job description

'Cancer Coach' is a service offering weekly support group sessions for people who have completed their treatment for cancer and would like some help and support in adapting to life after treatment.

Cancer Support UK is now looking for an enthusiastic and organized person to join our friendly 'Cancer Coach' team as a 'Cancer Coach Co-ordinator' to oversee and manage the administrational, logistical and organisational duties for the groups.

Key tasks will include helping people book onto the groups, speaking regularly to our participants, sending out joining instructions and managing our CRM system. You will be the first point of contact for people coming into the service and therefore experience of managing difficult conversations with a vulnerable client group is preferred.

If you have great administrational and organisational skills and are looking for a new challenge where you can take ownership over your own porocess and really contribute to the success of the service, then this might be the role for you. Previous experience of working in a charity, health or social care setting is essential, as is the ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of people.

The role is full time on a fixed term 12 month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role will be home based with occasional travel to meetings across the UK.
