The Role
As our eCommerce Officer, you will support the delivery of Yorkshire Cancer Research’s eCommerce income targets by managing the day-to-day operations of the eCommerce team. This includes overseeing the performance of eCommerce Assistants, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, and driving operational efficiency to meet income goals.
Specifically, you will:
People Management
- Effectively manage the eCommerce Assistants, providing regular guidance, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Oversee daily and monthly tasks and priorities to ensure smooth operations and optimal productivity.
Commercial Responsibility

- Monitor and report on daily, weekly, and monthly income performance against targets.
- Ensure product listings are optimised for visibility and sales across all eCommerce platforms and contribute to weekly listings to ensure income targets are reached.
- Manage customer service processes to ensure high satisfaction and repeat engagement.
- Support the development and execution of promotional campaigns and seasonal sales strategies.
Continual Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to operational workflows, including listing, order processing, and dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., data protection, trading standards).
- Use data and customer feedback to refine processes and enhance the customer experience.
- Embed the new process of shops sending stock for eCommerce as a business-as-usual practice.
- Utilize ListingMonster AI to optimize product listings and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure stock availability and timely dispatch through effective management of warehousing capacity.
Collaboration & Communication

- Liaise with the Head of Operations to ensure alignment between product sourcing and operational capacity in the new goods ranges.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to support promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal activity that drive traffic and sales.
- Engage with other internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, IT, Supporter Engagement) to ensure smooth operations and alignment with wider organisational goals.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- To be ideally educated to A level or equivalent.
- To have eCommerce operations or retail management experience with eCommerce elements.
- To have strong communication and customer service skills.
- To have the ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
- To have good communication skills to be able to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- To have accuracy in tasks, including product listings and customer correspondence.
- To have experience in budget monitoring and progress tracking.
- To have organisational skills essential for autonomous working and teamwork across an organisation.
- To have excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.

The Role
We are currently looking for a Van Driver and Donation Centre Assistant to join our Retail, Services and Operations team.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the donation centre. The primary focus of this role is to deliver stock to our retail shops across Yorkshire in a timely manner. However, at busy times you will also be required to assist with sorting and selecting of stock, collecting and accepting donations at the centre or from donors, assisting with general maintenance tasks and supporting with the removal of general waste through the appropriate channels whilst working in compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and our Driving for Work policy.
Specifically, you will:

Carry out deliveries of donated stock to shops ensuring that the shops receive the stock that they have requested from the Donation Centre.

Complete collections of furniture and goods across Yorkshire, including the disposal of waste materials, as directed.
-
Be responsible for day-to-day vehicle maintenance, including completion of the weekly vehicle maintenance checklist and daily visual checks.
-
Ensure charity vehicles are left secure, clean and presentable at the end of the day and ensure any vehicle defects and damage promptly are reported in accordance with charity procedures.

Be an ambassador for the charity whilst driving branded vehicles, ensuring that you drive carefully and mindfully of other road users.

Seek opportunities to actively engage with visitors to enhance their visit and further promote the profile of the charity.
-
Be responsible for assessing the quality of goods collected, including furniture which will include declining donations that are unsuitable for sale and may contravene the Sales of Goods Act 1979.

Take pride in the centre's presentation, seeing everything through the eyes of the visitor and addressing anything that would not meet a visitor's expectations.

Complete PAT testing of electrical donations to ensure that they are safe for us to sell (full training will be provided.)

In the absence of the Donation Centre Managers, monitor the Donation Centre email inbox daily for Stock Requests from shops and ensure that the Donation Centre team have prepared the stock in line with the weekly delivery schedule.

Assist with basic maintenance tasks at all sites, including:

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To be ideally educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent, including Maths and English

To have the ability and willingness to travel across the Yorkshire region

To have a full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points

These are exciting times for the charity and we now have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and professional Email Marketing Coordinator with outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills and a strong customer service ethic, to join the busy Digital Team.
The is a remote working role on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Position: Email Marketing Coordinator
Location: Remote (The working pattern for this role will combine onsite and home working, with onsite attendance currently anticipated to be 1 day per month)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Monday - Friday
Salary: £30,268
Contract: 12-month fixed term contract starting on 1 September 2025

About the Role
As Email Marketing Coordinator, you will spearhead the creation and implementation of innovative email marketing campaigns that boost engagement and drive conversions. In this vital and rewarding role you will be responsible for the end-to-end email marketing process – from campaign planning, content development, A/B testing, list management, automation, personalisation, performance tracking and reporting.
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:
· Leading the enhancement and optimisation of the email strategy to boost engagement, increase brand awareness, and drive revenue.
· Simplifying and improving email production processes to boost efficiency across key teams, especially in fundraising and commercial.
· Collaborating with colleagues to create personalised campaign journeys that enhance supporter engagement and lifetime value and to ensure the proper and accurate segmentation of supporter data for all campaigns.
· Collaborating with the Digital Development Manager to design, implement, and analyse campaigns, using a test-and-learn approach to continuously optimise performance and enhance engagement.
· Managing the email welcome journey for e-news sign ups, and support on the development of other supporter journeys for a range of audiences across the team.
· Day-to-day management of the email-marketing programme, including drafting, building and managing campaigns and automations, and managing audiences.
· Working with colleagues and draw on existing data to develop insights and understanding about supporters, and using this information to develop content which is engaging, informative, and meets supporters’ needs.
About You
We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level or has the equivalent in experience.
You will also have:
· Experience of managing email send platforms, including building customer journeys and reporting email success metrics, and strong understanding of email marketing platforms and automation tools.
· Expertise in email marketing best practices, including segmentation, deliverability, and optimisation strategies.
· Experience in supporter stewardship communications and journey planning to enhance engagement and maximise lifetime value.
· Excellent written English with experience writing for the web with good copywriting skills and editorial capability – able to manage the content lifecycle, with a keen sense of brand awareness.
· Excellent consultancy skills, translating digital terminology and processes into clear and concise language to a variety of stakeholders.
· Solid project management skills – able to organise and manage multiple projects whilst dealing with a number of conflicting demands and timescales.
