• Planning and deliver Tai Chi classes for diverse groups and skill levels.

• Providing guidance during practice, encouraging participants, and helping them achieve their goals.

What you will be doing

• Host and manage online bingo games once a month, ensuring a smooth and fun experience for all players
• Monitor the chat and ensure a respectful and welcoming environment.
• Interact with players, answer questions, and offer assistance to ensure everyone feels included.
• Announce game progress, call numbers, and congratulate winners.

The skills you need

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with online bingo platforms is beneficial, though training may be provided

Jumble Sales Organiser Volunteer

Would you like to raise funds, have fun and join a super team of volunteers who together make our Jumble Sales in Thatcham a great success?  As Jumble Sales Organiser you would be helping to make everything run smoothly for the team.

Time Expectations:  1 Saturday every other month (plus preparations)

This could be a shared role and tasks may include:

· Booking the hall for future Jumbles

· Contacting the Jumble team before events to check availability

· Set up stalls, running a stall and packing away at the end

· Collecting any items/resources needed from the centre the day before

We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Berkshire.

The Vacancy

Do you have a keen interest in current affairs and want to bring your experience of the Methodist Church to support its involvement in ecumenical social justice, policy and political work?

The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is a partnership between the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches. It help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues.

We are now searching for a new Methodist member of the Strategy and Policy Group (SPG) which oversees the team’s work, and facilitates the working together of the denominations to achieve JPIT’s purposes.

The SPG currently holds five meetings a year, comprising one 24-hour residential with the whole staff team, two half-day hybrid meetings (where members are on site together in London or online), and two shorter online-only meetings.

About You

As one of two Methodist members of SPG, you’ll contribute to the discussions and decision-making of the group, and collectively support JPIT in effectively enabling the Churches to speak and act prophetically and prayerfully on key issues of justice and peace. You’ll need to bring strong understanding and experience of the Methodist Church in Britain, through both local involvement and experience of district or Connexional structures.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a significant role in the public witness and justice work of the Methodist Church, working with ecumenical colleagues. Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service brings children’s centres, health visiting and school nursing together, to provide a more joined-up service for children, young people, and their families.

The centres deliver a range of support groups and activities for children and their families to help them be healthy, grow and develop. To make it easy for families to fit sessions and services around their busy lives, access is available from any Hertfordshire Family centre. We have locations across the entire county so please do enquire ensuring you have provided your postcode. 

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities/ Activities

To support early years sessions for families with children aged 0–5, including those with SEND and emerging needs, by promoting engagement and child development through group activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Welcome and engage families in a warm, friendly manner

· Support the delivery of structured and free-play indoor and outdoor activities

· Encourage participation and interaction between parents/carers and children

· Promote children’s development through praise and positive reinforcement

· Work collaboratively with staff to support inclusive practice
