Nottingham, Leicester and Leicestershire Citizens
These 2 well established Citizens UK alliances have more than 17 years of organising between them with over 50 member organisations and a team of 3 organisers. As Citizens UK moves towards a more regional approach, we are seeking a Senior Organiser with the talent, vision, experience, hunger, emotional intelligence and relational skills to lead this organising team as they build both Nottingham and Leicester Citizens chapters.
These alliances have previously won campaigns around low pay, refugee rights, hate crime, housing, mental health and much more. Currently, their main strategic relationships are with multi-academy trusts and Anglican Dioceses. Nottingham and Leicester/Leicestershire Citizens are currently running campaigns on migration justice, racial equity in education, access to healthcare.
Our ideal candidate for the position will have a track record of making things happen, be able to work with a high degree of independence, are comfortable with uncertainty, and able to think strategically as well as operationally. They will be interested in understanding and working with different sectors and types of organisations, as well as engaging with people from a wide range of faiths and cultures which are different to their own. Purpose
The Senior Organiser will work closely with the Midlands Assistant Director to develop a strategy to build power and create change. As CTA's Business Development Manager, your role involves increasing the uptake of MiDAS training and growing CTA membership. To do this you will need to have/develop an in-depth knowledge of the sector, be able to conduct your own research, develop relationships with our key stakeholders, and track performance metrics.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and lead-deliver a wide variety of energy and carbon reduction projects and activities with communities, businesses, and individuals across North Wales.

- Advocate and liaise for householders with energy companies and gas and electric network providers to ensure customers receive the best possible deal for their requirements.
- Work with referral partners to identify vulnerable households, and evidence eligibility to provide support with energy advice and administer emergency fuel vouchers.
- Provide effective support, both advisory and practical, to enable people to make positive changes to their behaviour and to improve the quality of their lives; record actions and highlight the importance of keeping warm to the health and wellbeing of residents.
- Assist residents to access other relevant and complementary services and agencies, liaising with other agencies to assist residents to access funding and support to deliver larger energy efficiency measures.
- Liaise with residents on a day-to-day basis in a professional and friendly manner and build good working relationships with them either face to face or through the provision of telephone advice.
- Oversee the booking and scheduling of visits and respond to referrals from funders in a timely manner.

CAFOD’s Major Donor Executive will play a key role in delivering our fundraising programme. They will help develop and implement operational plans, manage a portfolio of existing donors and work to identify prospective new donors and their networks. They will work alongside a collaborative and talented team of fundraising professionals who support and encourage each other to reach their fundraising and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Donor relationship management
- Develop lasting relationships with existing donors and new prospects, building and managing a portfolio of donors giving £5,000 upwards
- With the Philanthropy Manager and Major Donor Team, devise and implement online and offline communication plans with a clear focus on securing funds for CAFOD’s core programmes
- Steward donors effectively, to ensure satisfaction and long-term commitment. Communicate, thank and report back on the work of CAFOD using donors preferred channels, ensuring the highest standards of donor care
- Ensure systematic data input and management so that key information, donor interactions and communications are appropriately recorded in line with organisational systems and processes, and in compliance with GDPR and fundraising best practice
- Work with the Philanthropy Manager, the Research and Information Team, Senior Management colleagues and Trustees to carry out donor research, identify new prospects and grow the pipeline of donors.
- As part of the team’s wider work, contribute to (and at times lead on) hosting cultivation and stewardship events – including planning event logistics; sending and tracking invitations; hosting and speaking at events; co-ordinating follow-up and completing evaluations
Contribute to Major Donor strategy, plans and income targets
- Contribute to the development of team annual plans and income forecasts
- Maintain focus on your own and teams’ income and other KPIs
- Monitor your portfolio, prepare required analysis for monthly and quarterly reports and regular income forecasting exercises
- Develop ad hoc reports and data analysis to improve the donor programme and communicate key learnings to internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in regular team reviews of the donor portfolio to discuss moves management and next steps in donor contact plans
- Identify new funding opportunities with stakeholders and develop ways of working with influential supporters

About you
We are in search of a candidate with expert major donor knowledge and a proven track record in donor management and fundraising. You will have experience soliciting five and ideally six-figure donations and have the ability to develop compelling appeals to raise funds for CAFOD’s core programmes. Additionally, you will comprehensively understand the significance of prospect research and portfolio management. You will have excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence, enabling you to foster strong relationships with donors and work colleagues.
Essential criteria for the role will include:
- Proven experience of managing major gift relationships at five-figure giving level
- Experience of implementing donor cultivation and stewardship plans – including online and offline appeals, tailored approaches and feedback communications; face-to-face meetings; event management
- Achieved successful income growth strategies
- Good written and presentations skills that would enable donors to engage with the work of CAFOD
- Good knowledge of how to input and use databases and how to follow systems and processes

We are looking for a Tennis Development Officer to support with the development and delivery of our Tennis Programme as our inaugural focus sport. The role combines coaching delivery with desk-based sports administration. We are looking for someone passionate about developing tennis in all forms; an experienced coach who is confident with coaching beginners through to talented athletes.

The post holder will need to ensure high quality tennis coaching for all tennis club activity, including BUCS and LUSL team training. This will be achieved through a combination of direct coaching delivery and coordination of a wider tennis coaching network. They will also support the Sports Administrator with developing relationships with new tennis facility partners, and maintain strong relationships with all key external stakeholders including the LTA. The role holder will also deliver beginner-friendly coaching for our ‘Learn to…’ tennis sessions.
