Job description

Role : Social Media Assistant (Volunteer) 

Supported by: Business Development Consultant (Primary); Resource and Programme Lead, Charity Director (Secondary) 

About White Ribbon Alliance UK: A leading charity in the sexuals and reproductive health rights (SRHR) field, we focus on promoting respectful maternity care, combatting obstetric violence, and championing the rights of women, girls, and gender-diverse people. . 

Role Purpose: To contribute to our social media presence by implementing the existing strategic plan, creating engaging content, and managing effective campaigns. 

Our aspirations for activities the volunteer would perform: 

  • Collaborate with a team of social media assistant volunteers. 

  • Implement our established social media strategies. 

  • Engage with the online community, fostering positive interactions. 

  • Monitor, report, and suggest enhancements for social media activities. 

Ideal skills and qualifications: 

  • Passion for SRHR and intersectional feminism. 

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Experience with social media platforms and design tools like Canva. 

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
