About the role

Are you passionate about women’s health and the power of communications to advocate, inform, and influence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as interim Head of Media and Communications.

In this role, you will play a vital part in the RCOG’s mission to improve the lives of women and girls around the world, through the delivery of creative communications campaigns and high-impact media stories. You will promote our guidelines, research and reports to support their use around the world to deliver high quality, safe and compassionate care for women.

Leading our busy press office, you will have opportunities to shape the media agenda on critical women’s health issues and champion the voices of women and girls through creative story-telling. Your social media expertise will ensure we are effectively listening to and engaging our members, partners and the public.

You will enjoy building and managing relationships with stakeholders to deliver opportunities for partnership working – including national health organisations, other Royal Colleges and women’s health charities. You will have excellent strategic judgement and be confident to advise senior College stakeholders on high profile and sensitive issues.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will line manage our Senior Media and Communications Officer and work closely with colleagues in our policy, public affairs and marketing teams to help ensure the College’s external affairs work is integrated, coherent and impactful.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of our annual media and communications plan, including priority campaigns in partnership with marketing, policy and public affairs colleagues
• Oversee our busy press office, ensuring we maintain strong media relations and are achieving high impact coverage on College priorities
• Deliver proactive external communications to promote awareness and impact of RCOG programmes, projects and products
• Ensure we are effectively using our social media and digital channels to listen, engage and influence, including production of videos, podcasts and webinars, etc.
• Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to gather intelligence and identify partnership opportunities
• Lead on ensuring the RCOG maintains effective communications and media processes, including forward planning tools, media logs, activity summaries, and evaluation reports.

About you

This position is well-suited to an experienced communications professional who is passionate about women’s health, and the role that creative communications and campaigns can play to advocate, inform, and influence.

Requirements:

• Experience leading the development and delivery of integrated communications campaigns Excellent news sense and experience leading a busy press office covering high profile issues
• Ability to lead on and manage sensitive/ emotive/ ethical issues in a sensitive manner
• Creative and technically excellent writing skills
• In-depth experience to use digital channels to listen, engage and share information

Age UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to develop and deliver funded programmes. This 12 month fixed term contract role will work across a variety of projects aimed at improving older people's wellbeing and will partner with teams from across the organisation to develop new programmes responding to the changing needs of older people.

Working closely with Age UK's Network of 130+ local and independent Network Partners, this role will work across the life cycle of projects, ranging from the development of new concepts through to the implementation and delivery of funded projects. The focus of the role will change according to the needs of the department and the needs of older people in the future.

The successful candidate would enjoy taking the initiative in challenging circumstances and working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will demonstrate a high level of expertise in communication and an understanding of complex stakeholder relationship management with challenges that need to be understood and addressed in a timely manner.

This is an exciting hybrid opportunity, offering flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office.

The Role 

The role of Shop Manager involves actively running our new shop in Hull and implementing processes and ways of working.

As our Shop Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop including managing a Deputy Shop Manager and team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures.  
 

Specifically, you will: 

• Manage and be accountable for implementing and complying with agreed shop operating policy and standards including Health and Safety and Trading Standards. 

• Be responsible for ensuring the shop is presented to the highest standards with attractive visual merchandising and window displays. 

• Be responsible for attracting and recruiting a team of new volunteers, ensuring they are well trained and take every effort to create a welcoming and happy environment. 

• Be responsible for ongoing volunteer training and engagement, ensuring the volunteer management system is actively kept up to date.

• Be responsible for ensuring the team are working towards achieving all key performance indicators. 

• Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received). 

• Prepare and complete all shop administration including cash handling and banking functions to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures. 

• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be ideally educated to A Level or equivalent. 

• To have experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development. 

• To have previous retail experience in charity sector or commercial sector is desirable. 

• To have experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment.

Funding Business Manager

P/T– 26 hours per week

Dyscover is a small, specialist charity providing long term support and opportunities to adults with aphasia, a complex language disability. We are looking for an experienced Business Manager with a strong Fundraising and Marketing background to join our team.

· Experience raising income from a range of income streams particularly Trusts and Foundations also including skills in managing events, individual donors, legacy, corporate and community fundraising.

· Finance and Project management experience.

· Strategic development skills.

· Health, wellbeing, and disability experience within the sector would be ideal.

· Marketing experience; organisational promotion, digital, social media, website and branding. Health service marketing would be an advantage.

· Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with good disability awareness.

The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

• Be paid a pro rata full-time equivalent salary of £45,000-50,000

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

Strategic Leadership:

● Experience of a role with responsibility for the leadership of a team or portfolio of projects.

● Experience of strategy development and implementation, either at a programmatic or an organisational level.

Programme Management & Delivery:

● Experience of leading the design and delivery of learning programmes in an equivalent environment. 

● Experience leading projects which required the effective management of a range of stakeholders through project and programme work. You will be able to demonstrate how you have engaged with those stakeholders to build their connection with and investment in the project, and how you managed that work. 

● Experience of designing and facilitating learning/collaboration/experimentation spaces for individuals and groups, either in an organisational or programmatic context. 

● Skills & Knowledge which enable you to design high quality programmes and learning spaces, to support individuals with their learning, and to facilitate group spaces. 

● A familiarity with subjects relevant to Koreo’s work is essential. Successful candidates will likely be interested in subjects like collective impact, new approaches to power, working in and with complex systems, organisational design and psychology, participatory futures, activism and organising, multi-disciplinary practice, and much more that we don’t know about yet.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing. 

People & Culture

● An ability to building positive relationships in a small, busy and ambitious team, leading and able to hold relationships with colleagues and our wider community.

● A commitment to your own personal development and learning, and an understanding of how that development will be supported by your work at Koreo.

About the role

As the Digital Content & Social Media Lead, you’ll be responsible for generating creative and compelling content for our digital channels which promotes our charity’s services, as well as coordinating content delivery across our social media platforms.

You’ll be collaborating with our digital and comms teams to ensure brand consistency and user-focus, managing, developing and executing social media strategies, and leveraging audience insights to optimise our digital presence and reach wider audiences.

You’ll work with internal teams to understand their content needs, and using your digital skills and knowledge, create and schedule content targeted to different audiences, which increases awareness, drives engagement, and meets organisational goals.

We are recruiting for someone who is:

• Skilled in digital copywriting and experienced in producing digital content that drives engagement and conversion, as well as being accessible, inclusive and, most importantly, meeting user needs.

This is a key role working at Scope’s first iteration of a Community Hub, you will be responsible for forming relationships and connections across the Leeds area. Working with Scope’s Teams in Leeds and key partners, to establish a successful range of events and community partnerships at the Hub and within the Leeds area.

Permanent, 35 hours per week

Location: Scope Leeds Community Hub, 3 Brewery Wharf Leeds LS10 1NE and the role will also involve travel within the Leeds area.

The role
You will:

• Expand the network of the hub by establishing and nurturing relationships and co-creating and implementing engaging events, workshops and partnerships at the Hub and within the Region.
• Be the conduit between Scope and its community with the main aim of forging relationships for change. This would also include promoting Scope’s offer of Services, Retail Shops, volunteering and campaigns.
• Network to forge partnerships and collaborations within the Leeds Community to expand Scope’s reach and impact.
• Develop digital content for the Hub and maintain a social media presence.
• Develop marketing strategies for the Hub.
• Support to measure the success of the Hub.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the Hub, including being a key holder and maintaining effective supervision of the space. Some unsociable hours will be required.

Support/Support Services

• Responsible for the development of a portfolio of high-quality support services for people of all ages across the UK who have experienced meningitis.
• Responsible for (and contribute towards) the delivery of support services, including events and out of hours peer support as and when required.
• Provide a ‘senior lead’ safeguarding role for Meningitis Now, ensuring that our safeguarding policy, which includes eSafety, is fully implemented.
• Embrace digital technology to develop a range of services to meet the varied and often complex needs of individuals.
• Oversee the appropriate use of evaluation and outcome measures to ensure that we can demonstrate the difference that we make and continually improve service delivery.
• Support the development of the reach of the organisation to enable more people to access support working with other members of the team and organisation.

Information and Support Management Team

• Assist in the development and delivery of strategy.

Line Management

• Responsible for the line management of staff within the support services team including recruitment and selection, planning out development, performance, training, and support.
• Deal sensitively and promptly with personnel issues when they arise in line with established procedures and reporting, and in keeping with the values of the Charity.
• Ensure policies, systems and processes are in place, utilised and regularly reviewed to ensure compliance with legislation such as data protection and safeguarding.
• Liaise and relay information between the senior management team, HR, and the organisation.
• Responsible for overseeing the external supervision of staff including yearly reporting.
• Manage and contribute to a programme of continual professional development for all staff across the directorate.
