Duties:

The designer will help with:

• Designing and producing event materials (brochures, flyers, posters)

• Designing social media post templates & banners

• Attending events and being part of the FoE Camden community

Fundraising Events Organiser Volunteer

Our Fundraising Events Team are at the heart of what we do, raising essential funds for the cats. 

Our Fundraising Events Organisers share ideas, tasks and inspiration, planning and delivering local events, with the support of the Fundraising events helpers, such as Open Days (usually 2 per year) at the centre and our annual Christmas Bazaar. 

Time Expectation:  This role can be varied and time commitment can be flexible. 

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Berkshire Cat Centre simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Berkshire.

The Role

PR & Media Outreach Volunteer

We’re building a movement around being #PeriodProud and are on a mission to reach 100,000 girls across the UK with free period webinars and access to our La Suzy Mat.

We’re looking for a passionate PR & Media Outreach Volunteer to help La Suzy share its story with the world. You’ll help us reach journalists, bloggers, and podcasts that align with women’s health, social impact, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Research and build media contact lists.
• Draft and send press releases and founder stories.
• Identify and pitch newsworthy stories about La Suzy’s mission and milestones.
• Support PR for key campaigns and partnerships (like our #PeriodProud initiative).

• Trustees may be invited to attend Pony Club events such as the Championships, the Pony Club Conference, and Trustee away days.
• New Trustees will attend an induction at The Pony Club Office in Warwickshire and are expected to complete NCVO Charity Trustee Induction Training if new to the role of Trustee.
• The role is voluntary, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. Network meetings are held in Heanor on Wednesday evenings between 19:30-21:00 during school term time although these are normally reduced to twice monthly in winter. It is important for applicants to generally be able to attend these meetings.

Interviews will be held around similar times to the regular meetings on Wednesday evenings in Heanor.

Induction evenings will be held at same time and location as the regular meetings and an existing volunteer will provide direct support as a Buddy.
