Design the Feeling of Belonging. Shape the Look of Hope.

SUNSHINE is a new grassroots charity tackling loneliness in London. We’re building spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued—through coffee mornings, digital inclusion, fitness, and befriending programmes. But before anyone walks through our doors, they’ll meet us through a poster, a flyer, a social post.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to volunteer some time to help us craft the visual language of SUNSHINE: one that speaks of warmth, dignity, and human connection.

About White Ribbon Alliance UK

White Ribbon Alliance UK is an intersectional feminist charity working to end gender-based violence and advance gender equity in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). We focus especially on marginalised and underrepresented communities.

Through research, advocacy, training, and systems change, we centre the voices of women, girls, and trans and non-binary people across the lifecycle of sexual and reproductive health. Our programmes are grounded in intersectional feminist values and led by lived experience.

About the Role

We are recruiting Campaign & Content Volunteers to help us deliver two major campaigns this autumn:

• Big Give Women & Girls Match Fund: A national matched-funding campaign to raise £20,000 to confront medical misogyny in sexual and reproductive healthcare.

• Free From Harm awareness campaign: Spotlighting the impact of obstetric violence on women, girls, and pregnant people, especially those from marginalised communities.

Volunteers will play a key role in creating and sharing social media content, amplifying campaign messages, and helping us engage supporters during this critical fundraising and awareness window.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll join a small, supportive team and contribute in ways that suit your skills and capacity. Tasks may include:

• Designing graphics and visual content using Canva

• Drafting or editing captions for social posts (optional)

• Helping schedule and share campaign content across platforms

• Amplifying posts and messages during campaign week (8–15 October)

• Creating simple thank-you or update posts to keep momentum going

• Supporting with community outreach and sharing materials locally

We’ll provide all content briefs, guidance, and check-ins so you’re never working in isolation.

What You’ll Get From It

Who This Role Is For

We’re looking for people who are:

• Familiar with Canva (essential)

• Familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or similar (essential)

• User of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and/or TikTok (preferred)

• Comfortable using or learning social media scheduling tools

• Interested in digital campaigning and creative storytelling

• Passionate about equity in gynaecological care and reproductive justice

• Organised, responsive, and able to meet agreed deadlines

• Team players who enjoy collaboration in a small, supportive group

National Star is a Disability Confident Employer. Education Equity Content Strategist (EQOP)

Imagine creating a course that a student in a remote village can access on a simple smartphone, a course that opens their eyes to a future they never thought possible. Our Equal Opportunities Project (EQOP) has already reached over 10,000 students in rural India, and that’s where you come in.

In this role, you will:

• Research and design new, career-focused mini-courses on topics from financial literacy to social entrepreneurship.

• Write clear, engaging, and inspiring content specifically tailored for a youth audience and delivery via accessible tech like WhatsApp.

• Collaborate with our university partners to transform their expert knowledge into powerful, bite-sized learning experiences.

Your words will directly bridge the opportunity gap for thousands of students, providing them with the knowledge and confidence to pursue their dreams.

Role overview

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work efficiently and independently to help us create an exciting and dynamic fundraising strategy to maximise income generation and raise awareness of the organisation. 

Main duties of the role

• Contribute to the development of fundraising ideas
• Research and evaluate local and national trends for activities and make recommendations
• Support the development of the events calendar
• Plan and support the delivery of fundraising events and activities acting as an ambassador for YSS
• Adhere to company policies, particularly our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion policy, GDPR policy and Safeguarding policy.

• Disciplined in home working
• Ideas and up to date thinking to reach target audience
• Able to travel to the office when needed (e.g., occasional meetings in Worcester)

We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced volunteers to join our Asylum Support Team in Croydon and Crystal Palace.

As part of this vital team, you will contribute directly to enhancing the wellbeing and experience of asylum seekers living in the community and those in Home Office accommodations. Your support will play a critical role in helping individuals navigate the complexities of the asylum process and build connections within their new communities.

Volunteer Roles Available

We are looking for individuals to take on a variety of essential roles, including:

• Community Activities Coordinator
  Organise and facilitate inclusive, engaging activities both within the reception centres and in the wider community to foster wellbeing, integration, and resilience.
• Advice & Advocacy Support Volunteer
  Provide one-to-one guidance on asylum procedures, support clients in understanding their rights and entitlements, and escalate cases where needed in collaboration with Migrant Help and AASC providers.
• Wraparound Services & Signposting Volunteer
  Assist asylum seekers in accessing crucial wraparound services including housing support, digital inclusion, mental health, education, and employment advice. 
  Provide effective referrals to legal aid solicitors and community organisations.

• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

• Availability for regular visits and engagements in Croydon and/or Crystal Palace

Through volunteering as a Community Volunteer, you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.

Once we have completed your selection and screening for this role, we will provide you with an induction, as well as invite you to any necessary training sessions. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. The successful candidates would be provided with all the necessary training to support fundraising and community engagement activities.

Interviews will be conducted at our Network's headquarters in Rugby, which is easily accessible by car and public transport.

Successful candidates would be welcomed to the local branch in your area (Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth) by our friendly volunteers and fully supported in your new role!
