Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for passionate individuals to support our mission in a way that works for them. Whether you bring creativity, organisation, tech skills or lived experience of disability, there’s a place for you on our team. This is a chance to be part of a movement led by disabled people, making real social impact across communities.
What You Could Be Doing
Depending on your skills, interests and availability, volunteer roles may include:

Trainer with Lived Experience of Disability: Join our team of Inclusion Champions to co-deliver engaging training sessions across schools, businesses and community settings. Share your story, help break down barriers and inspire change. Training and ongoing support provided.

Event Support: Help deliver training sessions and community events, supporting trainers with set-up, accessibility and participant engagement.

Creative Media & Content Creation: Support with video editing, graphic design, social media content or photography to help spread our message.

Admin & Organisation: Assist with behind-the-scenes tasks such as scheduling, emails, minute-taking or managing documents.

Fundraising & Campaigning: Help us raise funds and awareness by organising local events, supporting campaigns or writing funding applications.

Digital Support: Provide IT or accessibility support for our virtual sessions or help us improve our digital platforms.

Research & Impact: Assist in gathering feedback, analysing data or helping us report on the social impact of our work.

Wellbeing & Peer Support: Offer friendly peer-to-peer support, help with community connection or support our team’s wellbeing activities.

The role
- Host 2 monthly episodes (30 minutes) featuring changemakers, innovators, thought leaders, experts, in the field of climate and sustainability - organisations and individuals from civil society, academia, governments and businesses.
- Research potential guests across key sustainability sectors covering climate education, climate action, climate solutions, finance, environment and natural resources, social justice and more.
- Prepare and conduct research-based, engaging interviews.
- Send personalised guest invitations in liaison with the production team.
- Edit your episodes and storyboard in line with the episodes' narrative.
- Help share and promote episodes through all online platforms.
What are we looking for?

Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging and impactful visual brand assets for Youth Advantage UK (YAUK).
- Establish, document, and maintain comprehensive brand identity guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all creative outputs.
- Lead the strategic redesign and day-to-day management of the Youth Advantage UK website (hosted on Wix).
- Design high-quality, fast-turnaround visual assets for LinkedIn and other social media channels to support timely campaigns, events, and organisational storytelling.
Essential Skills
- Strong graphic design and visual storytelling abilities.
- Experience in editorial layout and digital design.
- Proficiency in photo editing, ideally skilled in Adobe Photoshop.
- Familiarity with creative tools such as Canva, Adobe After Effects, or Premiere is advantageous, though not essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or currently pursuing one.
- A portfolio showcasing academic or professional design work.

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!

What we need from you

- face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins
- online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations
- marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
- completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection
Time expectation
This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

About Trans Celebration
Trans Celebration is a trans-led, grassroots human rights and community organisation that celebrates, uplifts, and advocates for trans and gender-diverse people across the UK. We use creative campaigns through arts, fashion, and beauty to highlight gender diversity and drive inclusive change.
We are seeking a proactive and skilled WordPress Website Developer Volunteer to support the ongoing development and maintenance of our website, helping us improve access to information, campaign visibility, and community resources.
Job Summary
The WordPress Website Developer Volunteer will be responsible for managing and enhancing our website’s functionality, performance, and user experience. This role includes tasks such as page creation, plugin and theme management, updates, bug fixes, and content integration, ensuring the website is accessible, secure, and reflective of Trans Celebration’s values and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the WordPress website, including themes, plugins, and content.
- Ensure website security, performance, and accessibility compliance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and apply necessary fixes or improvements.
- Collaborate with the content and design teams to implement new features or page layouts.
- Optimise site structure, responsiveness, and mobile compatibility.
- Assist with SEO enhancements and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Ensure consistent branding and user-friendly navigation throughout the site.
- Provide basic technical support or documentation for internal users or editors.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in WordPress (customisation, page builders, plugins, and themes).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic PHP.
- Experience with website troubleshooting, security, and performance optimisation.
- Understanding of responsive and accessible web design principles.
- Ability to integrate third-party tools (e.g., MailChimp, forms, social media feeds).
- Experience working with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg is a plus.
Bonus Experience (Not Required):
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics.
- Experience in nonprofit or grassroots digital communication strategies.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.
Personal Attributes:
