We’re looking for a Co-Chair to help shape the future of The Sherriff Centre

Could you bring senior leadership experience, strategic thinking and a passion for community to a unique organisation in West Hampstead?

The Sherriff Centre is looking for an experienced Co-Chair to join our Board of Trustees.

Now in our 11th year, we are a community-focused charity and social enterprise based in St James Church, bringing together community services, social enterprise and charitable activity under one roof.

We run a Post Office, café, children's soft play, events and room hire, alongside our charitable work supporting local people and developing projects that strengthen community connection and wellbeing.

As Co-Chair, you will work alongside the Vicar Co-Chair to provide strategic leadership, effective governance and direction for the organisation. You will work closely with our Centre Director, trustees and wider community to help us develop our services, build partnerships and identify new opportunities. 

We're looking for someone with:

•  Senior leadership experience, ideally within a small or medium-sized charity
•  Strong strategic thinking and governance skills
•  Experience of community work and service development
•  Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
•  The ability to lead collaboratively and bring people together
• A genuine passion for making a difference to local communities

This is a voluntary role, with expenses paid, requiring approximately 4 - 6 hours per week, including weekday availability.
