Job description

Volunteer Marketing & Communications Officer (Remote, 4–6 hours per week)

Help Us Tell the Story of a Movement That’s Changing Men’s Lives

MINDSET is a new start-up, volunteer‑run charity with a bold mission: to transform men’s lives across England by giving them something too many have been missing — space, brotherhood, and community. We create non‑therapeutic programmes where men can breathe, connect, grow, and rediscover their strength without judgment or pressure.

Through workshops, creative projects, group activities, and community‑based experiences, we help men build confidence, resilience, and purpose. We believe every man deserves a place where he feels supported, understood, and part of something bigger.

To bring this movement to life, we’re looking for a passionate and creative Volunteer Marketing & Communications Officer to help us tell our story, promote our brand‑new charity, build meaningful connections, and share the journeys of men rediscovering their wellbeing and personal growth.

This is a remote, flexible role requiring 4–6 hours per week, perfect for someone who loves storytelling, community‑building, and shaping the voice of a movement.

The Role

As our Marketing & Communications Officer, you will be the voice and storyteller of MINDSET. You will help shape how we speak, how we show up, and how we connect with the world — ensuring our message is clear, human, and deeply resonant.

This is a role for someone who believes in the power of narrative, believes in community, and believes that men deserve spaces where they can grow, heal, and belong. You will help us build a brand rooted in authenticity, hope, and brotherhood.

What You’ll Lead

Tell the Story of MINDSET

  • Craft compelling narratives that communicate who we are and why we exist.

  • Share stories of men’s journeys (with consent and dignity) to inspire hope and connection.

  • Develop messaging that feels human, uplifting, and movement‑ready.

Grow Our Presence & Promote Our Mission

  • Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and our website.

  • Build awareness of our programmes, values, and impact.

  • Help shape a consistent, recognisable brand identity.

Build Connections & Partnerships

  • Support outreach to community groups, organisations, and potential collaborators.

  • Develop communication materials that strengthen relationships and open doors.

  • Represent MINDSET with warmth, clarity, and professionalism.

Support Campaigns & Creative Projects

  • Contribute to campaigns that uplift men’s wellbeing and challenge stigma.

  • Help design creative assets that feel modern, accessible, and community‑centred.

  • Bring fresh ideas that help us reach new audiences.

Champion Ethical, People‑Centred Communication

  • Ensure all storytelling protects dignity, privacy, and psychological safety.

  • Promote inclusive, accessible communication practices.

  • Embed our values into every message we share.

Live Our Values

Brotherhood. Empowerment. Integrity. Growth. You will help ensure these values shine through every word, image, and story.

Why Join MINDSET

  • Be Part of Something That Changes Lives

Your work will help men feel seen, supported, and connected — often for the first time in years.

  • Shape the Voice of a National Movement

Help define how a new charity speaks, inspires, and grows across England.

  • Join a Purpose‑Driven Community

Work alongside volunteers who care deeply about men’s wellbeing and want to make a real difference.

  • Create with Freedom & Heart

Bring your creativity to a movement built on authenticity, hope, and brotherhood.

More Than Marketing

This is your chance to help build a movement that gives men what they’ve been missing — connection, community, and a sense of belonging. A chance to help men rediscover their strength, dignity, and hope. A chance to shape the voice and future of MINDSET.

If you’re ready to help tell a story that matters, we’d love to build MINDSET with you.
