Job description

An exciting opportunity to join Ronald McDonald House Charities UK to support community fundraising in South Wales.  The role is based in our Cardiff House where we support families with babies and children who are in Noah's Ark Hospital but some flexible home working will be considered.  You will be inspired and motivated by the families you meet to know how you can make a difference.

Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent charity supporting hundreds of children receiving treatment in hospital by enabling them to have their families close by during their treatment.  We provide free accommodation for the families of sick children for as long as they need it, whether that's two days or two years.

We are looking for a Community Fundraising expert and a brilliant communicator - someone always one step ahead. You are independent - able to and empowered to work instinctively. You are perceptive - sensing what the next step should be. You are versatile and will have the ability to translate our story into rich content and compelling scenarios inspiring people to work with us. Above all, you naturally build rapport to quickly establish relationships and develop innovative partnerships.

You will equally be as comfortable supporting families who stay with us at our Cardiff House who want to fundraise, as you are presenting to a room full of students or potential volunteers.  No one day will be the same and this is one of the most important roles in the charity as you are the local face and voice of Ronald McDonald House Charities on the ground.  You know who the key influencers in your community are and you will ensure they understand what we do so they will want to be associated with the charity.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Applications should be received by midnight on the 3rd February.
