The purpose of the role

The People Team provide advice, guidance and support to all National Theatre staff, line managers and senior leaders on people policies; terms and conditions of employment; recruitment and selection; performance management; staff engagement; diversity and inclusion; trade union and employee relations; discipline, grievance, and capability processes; and training and career development. We pride ourselves on providing a customer-focused, flexible, and agile service and aim to support and facilitate an open and inclusive culture where all staff can thrive.

The successful applicant for this role will lead on the development and review of employment policies, undertaking benchmarking and researching best practice to ensure the NT has a full range of accessible and inclusive policies. They will analyse and interpret business intelligence and workforce data to inform policy development and decision making whilst working with colleagues to develop guidance and training for managers and act as the department’s central advisory expertise. They will also lead on work related to the NT’s pay framework and policy and manage engagement surveys, developing routine reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Experience across a range of People functions that demonstrates an ability to work autonomously across a range of functions, including generalist, policy development, reward and interpreting terms and conditions.
• Experience of analysing and presenting information both written and verbally in informal and formal settings.
• Experience of working with information, databases and ability to interrogate and analyse data.
• Experience of working in a flexible and pragmatic way to problem-solving. Able to seek and exploit opportunities to advance objectives.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively orally, digitally and in writing adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way.
• Experience of managing multiple stakeholders, with the ability to build strong collaborative working relationships.

About the role:

The post holder will work within The Passage’s Community Services as a Complex Case Outreach Worker and will lead on case management for people experiencing homelessness who are presenting in the footprints in which the team operate and/or who are accessing the Resource Centre. The post-holder will support individuals with substance use support needs and/or mental health issues and will lead on work with clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug dependencies and who may also be experiencing mental health problems or other health or social care needs.

Main duties:

• To manage a caseload of clients presenting within the footprints in which the Engagement & Outreach service operate and individuals who are accessing The Passage Resource Centre. To support clients with complex needs, supporting them to identify and work towards recovery and away from homelessness.
• Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
• Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
• Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.

General responsibilities:

• In conjunction with your line manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.

Job Purpose

To support young people aged 18+ who have disabilities and/or are neurodiverse to gain employment. The role will be to primarily liaise with businesses and employers to broker new opportunities for supported and unsupported employment.  You will also work with a small caseload of young people, assessing their employability skills. You will work closely with the Employment & Skills team to place young people from the Employment Coaches caseloads into employment, as well as locate some voluntary roles and work placements. As a Youth Tech Abuse Lead you will provide specialist support to Refuge’s children support workers and frontline staff to ensure children, young people, and protective parents are using technology safely and positively in our refuges. You will increase understanding and awareness of your colleagues on tech-facilitated abuse and how to identify and respond to risks.  Approximately 40% of the role focuses on working directly with children and young people and their parents in empowerment workshops, and 60% of the role will focus on capacity building and training frontline staff.

Your responsibilities

• Comprehensive, proactive diary and schedule management for senior leaders - arranging meetings, planning tasks, arranging
  travel.
• Managing email and Teams correspondence efficiently - bringing urgent/business critical matters to attention, responding and
  categorising as appropriate.
• Supporting senior leaders with key tasks - e.g. creating presentations and papers, proof-reading work, organising team
  events.
• Completing administrative tasks efficiently and accurately - e.g. processing invoices, payment/expenses sign off, submitting
  recruitment paperwork, arranging interviews, maintaining files and document records.
• Supporting senior leaders with people management - booking performance reviews, approving leave where appropriate.
• Administering board/senior team meetings to facilitate their smooth, effective operation - scheduling meetings, producing
  agendas, forward planners and minutes, distributing papers, following up actions.
• Act as the point of contact between leaders and internal and external stakeholders when needed, ensuring effective relationships are built/maintained.

Essential

• Advanced MS office
• Interest in the mission, vision and strategy of the Charity
• Knowledge of company governance and business administration matters
• Shorthand / speed-writing

A leading domestic violence Charity is recruiting an Executive Assistant, who is ready to join a lively, devoted and driven organisation to support the Director of Fundraising and Communications and the Director of People and Culture!

This is an exciting new role, with an amazing work-from-home culture, reporting to 2 Directors and helping the wider SLT.

Your new role
You will report to the Director of People and Culture, but your responsibilities will also include providing executive assistant support to the Director of Fundraising and Comms 50-50% of your time.

• Previous relevant experience in a similar role with demonstrable experience of providing administrative and executive assistant support to senior staff members.
• The ability to manage work and time effectively, including the management of competing priorities.
• Flexible and adaptable with a can-do attitude.
• Self-sufficient with sound judgement and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• An interest in and commitment to the long-term success and development of the charity sector.

The organisation has a membership following of 12,000, many of whom are Chartered Scientists and Geologists who are experts in their field. The finance team is relatively small and made up of 4 people, therefore an enthusiastic individual who is extremely collaborative and willing to get involved in various areas, would be well suited.

Your new role

• Reporting to the Financial Controller and supporting them in the annual budgeting process, including gathering data from budget holders and leading meetings.
• Providing support for the annual audit process, working to tight deadlines and delivering information to auditors.
• Posting month-end journals, accruals and prepayments. As well as performing bank and control account reconciliations.
• Working with the FC to produce monthly management accounts.
• Identifying and recording VAT accurately.
• Assisting in developing and implementing procedure changes in parallel with the implementation of their new Dynamics 365 CRM system.
• Assisting the FC in the management of fixed-term cash deposits, monitoring investment returns and forecasting cash flow.

What you'll need to succeed

• Intermediate excel skills - pivot tables and v lookups are a must!
• A part-qualified accountant who is highly enthusiastic, energetic and proactive.
• Strong management accounts experience.
• Strong experience with bank reconciliations and double-entry.
• Highly communicative and personable.
