The Emergency Responder role will see you bring your clinical skills to all kinds of events here in Plymouth. Whether that be at the bigger events such as British Firework Championships and Armed Forces Day, or whether that be at smaller local events such as fetes, local farm summer fairs, school fayres, or a regular Saturday at Plymouth Albion Rugby. You could have the opportunity to become part of a wonderful team at our Plymouth Network, delivering a higher scope of clinical practice and giving back to the community. Bedfordshire is made of of 2 Networks, one based in Bedford who meet on a Monday evening and one based in Dunstable who meet on a Wednesday evening, both at 8pm.Events Bedfordshire has historically covered are Bedford River Festival, Dunstable music events, Luton Town FC, Bedford Athletic club and Bedford blues rugby.

You'll gain accredited training, working alongside skilled clinicians to bring the highest quality of care to people in Cornwall.

This vacancy is for Suffolk, and meet across three venues, Ipswich and Stow market meet on a Monday evening and Bur St Edmunds meeting on a Wednesday evening. The type of events Suffolk volunteers have historically supported are Suffolk Show, Aldeburgh Carnival, Newmarket Racecourse, Undley Pumpkin Patch, University of Suffolk open days along with small er events like village fetes and galas, 5k, 10k and half marathon running events, firework displays and remembrance events. They have also assisted with National and State events in London such as the London Marathon.

Events Norfolk have historically covered include Norwich City Football matches, Night time cover in Norwich City Centre, Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Norwich Half Marathon, Norwich Triathlon and Sandringham Flower Show along with other smaller events such as firework displays and local fetes.

We are looking to run a volunteering interview selection session on 16th June 2026, details of times, venue, etc tbc.

• Training for role - This role is subject to a 6 day training course which will be spread across 3 weekends. • Welcome Event (Induction) - Welcome events will be on Thursday evenings. Inductions will take place at the same time. Details of times, venue, etc tbc. These will be held at Preston, Lancaster and Kirkham on a Thursday evening
• Training for role - Requirement for training course to be undertaken and regular attendance at training evenings. Level 3 qualification awarded, requiring 6 days face to face training plus e-learning.

Solihull Area ONLY - An Independent Visitor is a positive adult role model who provides support and friendship to a young person in care. You will enjoy fun activities together which will give the young person unforgettable memories and experiences. Your consistent friendship will help the young person raise their aspirations, learn new skills, build self-esteem, confidence, and resilience.

We are looking for fun, reliable, and enthusiastic volunteers from all different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. You do not need any formal qualifications to become a volunteer, but it is helpful if you have some knowledge and practical experience of involvement with children and young people.

Children and young people who are looked after need an adult who has time to spend with them, take them on activities and be someone they can talk to and trust. You can fit your visits in around your own time and work commitments. We only ask that you can commit to a few hours once per month for a minimum of 2 years. 

We urgently require volunteers as an Independent Visitor for children and young people in care. As a volunteer you will:

• Have fun, take young people on outings and maybe share a hobby, sport or interest.
• Offer support and a listening ear and be a positive influence in a young person's life and help build self-esteem and confidence.

You do not need any special qualifications

The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting the mission, vision and values of the Students’ Union and for ensuring the delivery of organisational purpose through our 2025-2030 Strategy, Making More Happen. The Trustees ensure development of, and agree, a long-term strategy and approve and monitor plans and budgets to deliver the strategy. There are five meetings a year, and as an External Trustee you will work with our Board and Senior Management Team to affect change and ensure everything we do for our 50,000 members is led by our values to be Community Building, Empowering, Inclusive, Democratic, Bold, Sustainable and Fun.

Connection Support has a range of services providing support to people at risk of homelessness or on the edge of needing social care. We work with people made vulnerable through debt, mental health issues, substance misuse, learning disability, and physical disabilities.

Volunteers play a key role in the provision of vital services to our clients.

Could you prevent loneliness and isolation in your community and become a befriender?

• Do you have 2-3 hours a week to give to a client suffering from loneliness or mental health? (For a mutual agreement of time and locations that meet clients’ needs)
• Can you offer support, through a listening ear and be a positive influence in a client’s life to help build self-esteem and confidence?
• Will you enable our clients to benefit from knowing someone is there to listen, be a friend, and check in on their wellbeing?

Key responsibilities

Your role will include, but is not restricted to the following tasks:

• Carry out weekly checks with the clients you are supporting. This can be in a variety of settings, e.g., family home, support home, or in the community (via face-to-face meetings, phone or video calls)
• Have fun, take clients on outings, and maybe share a hobby, sport, or an interest
• Collect prescriptions for clients and assist with their weekly shop
• Help clients rediscover social skills and confidence by building up and maintaining a close relationship
• Report any concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator
