Care4Calais is a volunteer-led charity delivering essential aid and support to people seeking asylum living in the UK and Northern France. We provide direct aid and advocate for a fair asylum system, including safe routes to claim asylum.

The UK Direct Aid team delivers essential support through practical services; such as running distributions, delivering English classes and casework-style support through drop-ins. The UK Direct Aid team also provides services to promote wellbeing such as trips and sports activities.

• Sports - activities like yoga, football etc. are a great way to improve wellbeing, and for people to connect with others.

• Trips - organise trips to places such as the park, cinema to help boost mood and give people time away from the hotel.

• Wellbeing activities - sessions like crafts and cooking are popular. 

• Workshops - help with housing once someone receives Leave to Remain; familiarise people with life in the UK.

• Events - mark specific days or holidays to get people together and celebrate. 

• Media/ Press/ Engagements - as a volunteer, you may be asked to share a story for our social media or help someone with lived experience to share.

• Remote working - support with tasks such as contacting Migrant Help, assisting individuals to register with GPS, researching local support, or general admin.

Our Friends Ageing Better (FAB) project is looking for volunteer hosts for our weekly FAB Phone Cafe. In this role you'll be helping to create a friendly, welcoming space and community connections with a group of older people facing isolation.

At Age UK Bristol, we want to change the way we age. We aim to keep people aged 55+ well and active, encouraging Bristol to be an Age Friendly city. • Welcoming older people who are new to the telephone group.

Project Introduction 

About The Cultural Ambassadors Project
Point of Growth is launching The Cultural Ambassadors, a 9-month community project in Greater Manchester beginning October 2025. Our mission is to support newcomers and migrants settling in the UK by co-creating a culturally informed guidebook, running safe conversational and information sessions, and building peer networks. Volunteers will play a vital role in making sessions accessible, welcoming, and safe.

Project Start (Estimated): October 2025
Base Area: Greater Manchester (Oldham / Rochdale / Ashton-under-Lyne), venue locations to be confirmed

Time Commitment:
Typically 1–2 days per month (or ~3–5 hours per session). Flexibility is built in.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with set-up, registration, and welcoming participants

• Help facilitate group conversation, ice-breakers, or small group breakout sessions

• Support digital or hybrid participants (e.g. help with online forms, Zoom links)

• Distribute materials, refreshments, and cleaning up

• Provide informal signposting or peer support during breaks

• Work under supervision and follow safeguarding and inclusion policies

As a sustainability charity, we take surplus food that's donated to us and redistribute it to people in need.
The front line initiatives we support include food banks, schools, community groups and charities who, in turn, help people who are disadvantaged by poverty.

We need helping hands in our busy warehouse to receive and catalogue supplies, to load and unload vans, and to prepare orders for delivery. Support, guidance and keeping you safe

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.

We are looking to expand our Experts by Experience advisory board for STEP, made up of volunteer board members who are experts by experience (EbE). The STEP EbE Advisory Board is a structured and collaborative way for World Jewish Relief to engage with external advisors (in this case, volunteer board members) to advise and help on programme design and decision-making. The members of our advisory board support our programmes with their knowledge and expertise to offer more specific help and ideas in managing different aspects of STEP. 

We are now recruiting for a further 3 board members who are of Ukrainian nationality or Hong Kong BNO status / visa holder as we are launching a new STEP programme supporting these communities. 

The board members’ responsibilities will vary depending on the topic of advice in discussion, however, suggested activities include:

• Board member meetings to discuss ideas and create recommendations
• Group and 1:2:1s meetings with STEP stakeholders (employment advisors, participants, WJR board, partners)
• Document reviews (e.g. programme materials)
• Presenting recommendations in different formats (e.g writing, speaking)
• Attending optional training sessions chosen by the board

About you

Full training and ongoing support will be provided for this role, so you do not need experience. We are looking for board members who:

• Have lived experience of forced migration i.e. refugee status, humanitarian protection, people seeking asylum, and Ukrainian extension scheme
• Are of Ukrainian nationality or Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder
• Have intermediate and above understanding of English (B1+)
• Can commit to 2-4 hours a month
• Comfortable with IT, training can be provided
• Board members can have experience of being on STEP as a participant, but it is not a requirement. We aim for there to be a mix of experience with STEP on the board.

We’re Wales’ leading first aid charity, dedicated to saving lives and enhancing community health. Every day, our volunteers deliver care, compassion, and professional expertise across the nation — from first aid cover at local events to frontline support alongside the NHS.

About the Role

We’re looking for two National Clinical Officers (Paramedicine & AHPs) to join our National Clinical Team.
These key volunteer leadership roles will provide strategic clinical leadership, management, and expert advice to ensure our clinical services remain safe, compliant, and of the highest quality.

Working closely with the National Clinical Lead (Paramedicine & AHPs) and the wider National Clinical Team, you’ll help shape the direction of Paramedicine and Allied Health Professional practice across St John Ambulance Cymru.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the development and implementation of national clinical strategies.

• Support the recruitment, development, and engagement of Paramedics, Associate Ambulance Practitioners, and AHPs within the organisation.

• Provide expert advice on clinical governance, regulatory standards, and medicines management.

• Collaborate with colleagues across Wales to share best practice and deliver quality improvement initiatives.

• Represent St John Ambulance Cymru on relevant committees, forums, and professional networks.

• Support and mentor volunteers and healthcare professionals to maintain excellence in practice.

About You

You'll be registrated on the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) with at least three years’ clinical experience. You bring energy, integrity, and strong leadership skills, and you’re comfortable influencing and collaborating at all levels.

You understand the opportunities and challenges of working within a volunteer-led organisation, and you’re committed to upholding our core values: Compassion, Quality, Inclusion, and Integrity.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registration

• Enhanced DBS clearance

• Valid First Aid and Group B Safeguarding qualifications - gaining this can be supported 

• Level 3 Safeguarding Adults & Children

• Minimum three years’ clinical experience

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills

Commitment

Approx. 25 hours per month
Initial three-year term, with the option to extend for a further three years.
Mentorship, training, and ongoing professional support are provided.
