Friends of the Elderly is a charity dedicated to providing excellent care and support to older people for over 120 years. We do this via our grant giving service, which provides vital financial support to older people who are living in poverty. We also deliver services personalised to individual needs and integrated with local communities at our care homes and day centres.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to play a vital role in our small, busy fundraising team.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering outstanding supporter care, ensuring everyone who donates or fundraises for the charity has a positive and rewarding experience.

You’ll be responsible for processing all fundraising income accurately and efficiently, taking ownership of essential administrative tasks that keep our fundraising activity running smoothly. You’ll manage income from individual supporters, including regular donors, legacy supporters, event participants and seasonal campaigns such as our Winter Appeal. Working closely with our homes and services, you’ll also help to support and grow their fundraising efforts, making a meaningful contribution to the success and impact of the organisation.

We are looking for someone with experience in supporter care, customer services or fundraising along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with funders / customers.

You will be confident using databases to accurately record information and generate reports, as well as handling data, numerical information, and financial administration tasks effectively.

Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy will be required and you’ll have the ability to manage a number of projects, prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.

Good computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and database are essential.

Working in the not-for-profit or care sector and proven success in achieving and exceeding fundraising targets would be preferable.

About The Bike Project

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees.  We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of committed staff, an online bike shop and two workshops, one in London and one in Birmingham.

To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.

 Role and Responsibilities

This role will suit someone who can adapt or work in a fast-paced environment, who can prioritise activities based on the expected amount of income they generate.

As Fundraising Officer, you’ll play a key role across a wide range of fundraising activities, including supporting Trusts and Foundations grant applications, managing our challenge events programme, leading DIY fundraising initiatives, assisting with individual giving appeals, delivering supporter events, and ensuring high-quality donor stewardship. You’ll work closely with colleagues to engage supporters, drive income, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.

Skills and Qualiifcations 

We’re looking for a proactive Fundraising Officer with strong digital skills and experience using fundraising platforms such as Raisely. You’ll have a track record in campaign delivery, event management, and donor communications, with excellent copywriting skills and the ability to adapt messages for different audiences. Previous fundraising experience is essential, along with the ability to take initiative and work independently to achieve results.

Location

Hybrid - At least two days per week on site in our London office (Brixton) and Deptford workshop, the remainder of your hours can be worked remotely.

This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilise diverse fundraising methods, and build and develop new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to trusts and foundations, and with the potential to build new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. The Supporter Operations team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is a key point of contact in the charity for supporters and members of the public and ensures the highest standards in operational processes and compliance to ensure a first-class supporter experience.

As the Fundraising Operations Executive, you will primarily work as part of a small team to deliver essential fundraising operations activities ensuring excellent customer service, accurate records and reporting, and maintaining high levels of compliance. Supporter administration & compliance

· Ensure formal guidelines and best practice are adhered to in relation to Direct Debits, Gift Aid, FR codes of Fundraising Practice, Gambling Commission, and the Data Protection Act.

· Undertake a range of administrative duties including management of internal email enquiries; incoming post management; mailing order materials related to funeral collections, fundraising merchandise, and general health information; scanning, printing and archiving of documents.

· Ensure financial compliance activities such as refunds, income reversals and recoding are correctly administered; ensuring Salesforce CRM is updated with supporter details with a high level of integrity; ensure Gift Aid administration compliance such as recording of declarations, correct storage and compliance checks are undertaken.

Sitting within the Community & Events Team, and more broadly the Income & Engagement Department, the Community Fundraising Officer plays a vital role in supporting the long-term growth, development, and delivery of Sands’ community fundraising activities.

This is a new role at Sands, and it is an exciting time to join our growing team. This role will support acquisition activity, national campaign delivery and provide outstanding stewardship to fundraisers, community group and Sands groups, maximising their fundraising efforts and strengthening their relationship to Sands. Main Responsibilities

Community Fundraising Delivery & Growth

• Working with the Community Fundraising Manager, develop and deliver a community fundraising strategy for both new and existing activities.
• Support and assist with the delivery of Sands' community fundraising portfolio, ensuring activities are monitored and excellent supporter experience is given so to maximise impact and growth of each product.

• Maintain regular communication with supporters via email, phone, and social platforms, ensuring prompt responses, clear guidance and automating where appropriate to improve efficiency.
• Provide proactive stewardship to high potential fundraisers and groups, helping them reach and exceed their targets.

Marketing & Engagement

• Work with the Engagement Team to update and maintain the “Fundraise for Us” section of Sands’ website, ensuring content is inspiring, accurate and up to date.

Administration, Data & Reporting

• Maintain accurate supporter records in the CRM, ensuring all relevant information is captured and updated in a timely manner.

• Prepare basic reports, summaries, supporter lists and stewardship logs.
• Manage logistical tasks relating to fundraising packs, stewardship materials and fundraising products.

Cross Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager, Supporter Care Officers, Engagement Team, Events Team and Community & Volunteering Team to ensure joined up supporter experience across Sands.
• Support the wider fundraising programme during peak activity periods—including Baby Loss Awareness Week, Say their Name Day, Winter campaigns, and regional events—by assisting with supporter enquiries, content collation and campaign delivery.
• Attend Sands events, supporter activities and external meetings where required, occasionally outside of normal working hours.

General Responsibilities

The Role:

We are looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Communications Officer with at least three years’ experience in digital marketing and communications to help raise awareness of Carers’ Resource, promote our services and strengthen engagement with carers, supporters, partners and the wider community.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting campaigns, creating engaging content and helping to ensure unpaid carers know where and how to access support.

Working closely with the CEO and colleagues across the organisation, you will help deliver effective marketing and communications activity that reflects the values, voice and impact of Carers’ Resource.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging marketing and communications activity across digital and print channels.
• Manage and update website content to ensure information is accurate, accessible and engaging.
• Create high-quality content for social media, campaigns, press releases and promotional materials.
• Support the promotion of services, events, fundraising activities and campaigns.
• Help increase awareness and understanding of unpaid carers and the support available through Carers’ Resource.
• Manage and grow social media channels, monitoring engagement and performance.
• Support internal communications and staff engagement activities.
• Produce marketing materials including leaflets, posters, presentations and impact stories.
• Gather and share case studies, testimonials and stories demonstrating the charity’s impact.
• Monitor marketing performance and provide reports on communications activity and engagement.

• At least 3 years experience in a marketing/ communications role including creating digital content and campaigns.

As Community Fundraising Officer you will play a vital role in generating income to support the work of this inspiring Hospice. Supporter Engagement & Fundraising Communications Manager — Go Beyond £35,000–£37,000 | Fully Remote | Permanent | Full-time

Go Beyond has given over 21,000 vulnerable children life-changing residential breaks since 1994. Young carers who spend their days looking after parents. Children living in poverty for whom a school holiday means hunger, not adventure. Children who've been bullied or bereaved and need a week away from their ordinary life.

The charity is entirely self-funded. £1.8 million a year, every penny raised by supporters. No government money. Which means the work this fundraising team does is directly and specifically what makes those breaks possible.

This is the role that sits at the heart of that.

What makes this moment unusual:

Go Beyond's flagship campaign, Ice Cream Moments, launches this summer — backed by Louis Theroux, James Acaster, David Gower and Jenny Agutter. The trustees want to go viral. A legacy programme is built and ready to launch. An alumni programme connecting with 21,000+ former beneficiaries is research-complete and waiting for someone to open the door. And a loyal supporter base of 200–300 regular givers — many of whom have been giving for over a decade — is generating £90,000 a year with almost no stewardship behind it.

Sara, the Director of Fundraising, describes what's needed like this: "Think of this as your own company. Think of this income stream as your domain — you could make it something amazing."

What the role involves:

The Supporter Engagement & Fundraising Communications Manager will own the supporter communications function end to end. This is a project management and strategy role — not an execution role. The doing sits with two direct reports and a network of freelancers. Your job is to build the plan, manage the team, deliver the campaigns and make sure the data tells you what's working.

In practice that means:

• Building and managing proper supporter journeys for regular givers, challenge event runners and Ice Cream Moments donors
• Project managing the full campaigns calendar — four annual appeals, Ice Cream Moments, challenge events, and a growing digital communications programme
• Developing and implementing a data strategy, setting up income dashboards and overseeing the CRM
• Launching the legacy programme and, in time, the alumni programme
• Managing two direct reports: a Digital Marketing Officer and a Data & Admin / Challenge Events Officer
• Writing an 18-month strategy with proper pipelines and income forecasts

What we're looking for:

This is not a pure fundraiser role or a pure marketing role. It's a hybrid — and the right person will see that as a feature, not a confusion.

• A track record of owning campaigns end to end — not being part of them, owning them. Specific examples, with dates, outputs and results
• Genuine data literacy — comfortable in a CRM, able to run queries, understand segmentation. Not expert-level, but curious enough that you're never caught out
• Financial awareness — you ask what the target is before anything else. You work backwards from an income number
• Hands-on as well as strategic — you can delegate and direct, but you can also do
• Strong project management — multiple workstreams, freelancers, deadlines you can't move

Charity sector experience is welcome but not essential. Commercial direct marketing, agency-side or individual giving backgrounds are all genuinely considered.
