About you

Role Title: Early Year Professional (added area of responsibility) / Senior Practioner 

Hours: 35 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day Monday to Friday (Hours will include some afterschool wraparound, occasional evenings and weekends).

You will have experience of:

• Planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children’s individual development, curiosity, and wellbeing.

• Working collaboratively as part of an early years professional team to maintain and continuously improve the quality of practice, provision, and outcomes for children.

• Operating within a Key Person system, building secure, nurturing relationships with a designated group of children and supporting their individual needs, development, and family relationships.

Main duties include:

• Contribute to the responsibility for providing a high quality of education and learning, ensuring that staff are properly deployed, and to offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children attending the setting.

• Contribute to the responsibility towards drawing up long-term, medium-term and sessional curriculum plans which take into account the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and to monitor the effectiveness of the setting’s curriculum; this may include working with external professionals.

• Advocate for early years curriculum based on outdoor learning through play. 

• Contribute to the responsibility of drawing up and implementing the daily programme of activities and events.

• Comply with current Ofsted inspection requirements for achieving a ‘Good’ or above rating.

• Contribute and support the key person system, ensuring parents/carers are aware of their child’s key worker and that key workers regularly and effectively engage with their key children’s parent/carer.

• Contribute to the responsibility for the implementation of systems for observation and record keeping so that children’s progress and achievements are effectively and regularly assessed and to monitor the effectiveness of assessment procedures.

• Understand and appreciate the importance of monitoring and evaluation in a preschool based setting. 

• To carry out visits and inductions for new children and to ensure a smooth settlement.

Pause Coordinators play a vital role in the success of our work. This exciting new role provides an opportunity to work within a Whole Family Recovery Service as a Recovery Coordinator for the Family Support and Safeguarding Team (FSST).

With this role you’ll be working as part of Family Support and Safegurarding team within Ashfield Children's Social Care. This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027

Working as part of the new multi-disciplinary safeguarding teams (FSST) alongside Children’s Services, Domestic Abuse services and Mental Health, the Recovery Coordinator will coordinate a package of support and care to the adult substance user, enabling them to improve safety and resilience, in relation to substance use and the associated safeguarding risks.

About the role: 

• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary safeguarding team to provide appropriate co-ordination and interventions that help to reduce the impact of substance use. Types of interventions to include, engagement and assessment, time focussed whole family, group and 121 psychosocial based.

• Undertaking direct work with families and parents, utilising recognised evidence-based interventions that build resilience and enable positive changes to family functioning.

• Supporting the effective safeguarding of families through contribution to multi-agency plans, timely identification of risks, vulnerabilities and responding accordingly via appropriate assessment, safety planning and onward connection and referrals to the relevant services where required.

• To work closely with local Social Care Teams and other associated family support services

• To promote family members involvement to improve outcomes for children.

• To provide effective case co-ordination for all the family in support of the children’s Child Protection or Child in Need Plan.

• Active participation in agreed supervision and development meetings.

• Review ongoing care and support liaising closely with the full range of specialist workers across the multi-disciplinary team both within CGL Nottinghamshire and the Family Safeguarding Team ,

• Experience of working with families with complex problems in one or more of the following fields: social work; youth offending; substance misuse; probation; health; family work; education; youth and community
• Ability to manage behaviors of distress in a calm and professional manner
• Knowledge of current legislation surrounding young people, families and safeguarding practice. Eg - the Adfam and Think Family reports

In this role, you will play a vital role in enabling the smooth running of the organisation and its programmes through maintaining excellent programme administration, comms, governance, reporting systems and cross organisational project work. 

The role is a key part of the wider Core Team.  

The role is ideally suited to individuals with an interest in the core running of a charitable organisation.   

Good organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to hold a multitude of tasks simultaneously. The role will provide support for the Senior Management Team and wider delivery team. Communications 

• Prepare and maintain an annual comms timeline – including key celebratory or significant events for example mental health week, volunteer day etc ensuring that the Trust is maximising coverage across these key dates in the year;  

• Maintain the annual events calendar – work with programme leads to ensure events are being covered by comms; 

• Coordinate, collate and support with the preparation, completion and delivery of the ST newsletter – distribute via Mailchimp and oversee staff hard copy delivery;  

• Day to day social media, liaising with Programme leads for engaging content; 

• Monitor and ensure the website content is updated as needed; 

• Prepare Board report on Comms; 

• Be main contact for and oversee workstream with our Graphic Designer; 

• Write PR materials as needed; 

• Organise and oversee a regular Comms meeting with SLT – to include a focus on external and internal comms, the comms timeline and organisational events calendar 

Data Management and Reporting 

• Coordinating reporting deadlines and ensuring they are met by staff; 

• All reports to be saved into report folder and SLT notified to sign off; 

• Management of Plinth data management system, including managing supplier relationship, monitoring data is inputted correctly and staff training and support; 

• Oversight of data requirements per programme and extraction of headline data information for board reports and general funding bids and reports; 

• Attend quarterly Commissioner Meetings with colleagues. 

Programme Administration 

• Maintain and update contracts and grants master spreadsheet; 

• Preparing paperwork for new contracts and grants agreements; 

• Prepare and issue contract invoices using Xero accounting system; 

• Monitor payment schedule using Xero and update SLT; 

• Coordinate with accountants when contract invoicing is linked to monthly payroll; 

• Planning and set up of new programmes. Supporting staff to launch programmes according to contract funding; 

• Management of core support across delivery programmes including but not limited to advice and assistance, baby buddies, group programmes etc; 

• Supporting SLT with preparation and submission of bid applications 

• Supporting the Core Team with planning and delivering ad hoc organisational projects in line with Organisational Annual Strategy. 

Job Requirements 

Our work is place-based, and people focused. To be responsive to the community and to be able to support Shoreditch Trust activities, we do not offer remote working contracts. You will need to be flexible, working some evenings and weekends. Hours will be agreed on a mutually beneficial basis in line with planned activities. You will be expected to attend organisational meetings, events and clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinating and developing targeted interventions, including group work, outreach, and brief interventions
• Delivering engaging group programmes for young people at risk
• Increasing visibility and accessibility of the service amongst children, young people, families, and partners with the aim of increasing referrals into service for specialist support.

• Have an excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field 
• Knowledge of working with evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance 
• An accomplished communicator, both verbal and written with a high degree of personal IT competency 
• Be able to accurately update and maintain records and to work to deadlines for the submission of information. 
• Have excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives

In this role, you will recruit, train, supervise and support all volunteer roles (Helpline & Digital Service, art group and admin volunteers) and develop the volunteering provision at SARA, including organising SARA community events to engage volunteers. About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school. 

Key Objectives for this Role 

Working closely with the Lead Youth Worker and Youth Worker you will help create safe, engaging and inclusive opportunities for children and young people to learn, build confidence and develop positive relationships. 

Homework Clubs 

• Support the running and planning of two weekly homework clubs for children age 5 - 14.

• Contribute to the development of engaging session plans and learning activities. 

• Research and source resources and materials to support activities and learning.

• Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for children attending the clubs.

• Use participatory approaches to ensure young people help shape activities and programme development.

• Encourage children and young people to take ownership of activities and contribute to decision-making within the clubs Implement our behaviour management policy and work from a trauma informed perspective. 

• Support the registration and onboarding of new participants, ensuring records and consent information are accurate and up to date Liaise with families/carers when necessary.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Communications has responsibility for Ubele’s internal and external communications and digital activities in support of our strategic aims as well as oversight of communications across special projects. Central to the Head of Communications’ role is responsibility for: 

• Leading on delivery of Ubele’s Communications Strategy, public and internal communications with key audiences and stakeholders via various channels, especially Ubele’s website, email communications, social media and printed materials.  With support where needed, leading the delivery of a small number of annual and special events, working alongside colleagues and partners. 
• A crucial part of the role is working successfully with external partners, special projects comms teams, contractors and consultants to deliver on our communications objectives. 
• Reporting  to the COO and working closely with other senior leaders across departments to fulfil Ubele’s strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversight of all external communications activity relating to the work of the organisation, including websites, email newsletters and social media.   
• Oversight and management of the Creative Coordinator to effectively boost engagement and grow the organisation's social media channels.

We are looking for a skilled Youth Programme Lead to join our delivery team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, to help deliver programmes that are meaningful and impactful for young people. (Known within the organisation as ‘Interim Programme Coordinator)

More about the role: This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our programme delivery.  You will spend much of your time working directly with young people, helping them engage fully in the shared routines and activities of the day, from feeding rounds and walks, to mealtimes and evening activities. You will also lead regular practical sessions with young people, bringing skills and interests that contribute to daily life on the farm.

Alongside this, you will support the Senior Programme Coordinator with key operational tasks that help ensure a professional and robust service for our partners schools. Job Purpose:

Manage the on-site delivery of MSF UK’s Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising activity across Festivals and Events, ensuring high-performing, safe and professional fundraising operations that maximise income and public engagement.

Provide day-to-day management and development of Team Leaders, Fundraisers and Coordinator-level roles, driving performance through coaching, monitoring and clear accountability against targets.

Coordinate and deliver on-site operational and logistics activity across up to 60 festivals and events annually, working in close partnership with the Logistics Manager, who is responsible for logistics planning and infrastructure.

Act as the most senior on-site representative for MSF, ensuring all festival and event activity runs smoothly, maintaining strong relationships with event organisers, suppliers and stakeholders, and ensuring a high-quality, self-sufficient operational presence.

Work closely with the F2F Programme Lead and wider F2F management team to deliver the Festivals and Events plan, contribute to programme development and support the ongoing growth of the events portfolio.

Support the recruitment, onboarding and effective deployment of F2F agency workers and MSF UK staff, ensuring teams are equipped to deliver high-quality fundraising and meet performance expectations.

Take responsibility for on-site operational planning, including rota management and oversight of timesheet accuracy, ensuring effective resource allocation across activity.

Ensure all team activity adheres to MSF’s standards for behaviour, safeguarding, safety and compliance, creating a positive and professional working environment.

Outside of festival periods, take responsibility for the delivery of Private Sites activity, maintaining the same standards of leadership, performance and target achievement.
