As a maintenance (handyman) volunteer at SeeAbility, you will support the facility in maintaining a safe, functional, and pleasant environment for people we support and our teams.

This position requires a reliable, skilled, and proactive individual who can carry out general maintenance tasks and assist with small repairs around the property. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being of the people we support and ensure that the home remains a comfortable and secure place for all.

Skills Required 

• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs to the building and facilities, including but not limited to:  carpentry, painting, decorating and repairing

• Assist with the installation of furniture, fixtures, or equipment, ensuring they meet safety standards.

• Ensure that all tools and materials are properly maintained and stored safely.

• Help identify potential maintenance issues before they become problems.

• Report more complex repairs or safety concerns to the Facility Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.

• Support the care home during renovation or redecoration projects.

• Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff to ensure the upkeep of the home.

You could be part of our exciting pilot project as a volunteer Parish Nurse offering life-transforming whole-person healthcare, working alongside Chaplains, Complex Needs and Housing Support Workers.

 As a YMCA Parish Nurse you would:

• Help service users identify issues and self-manage their wellbeing so they flourish in body, mind and spirit. This might be 1:2:1 or in a group setting.
• Signpost, support, and provide information and reassurance enabling service users to access NHS and other professional or community support as well as internal support from YMCA colleagues and projects.
• Offer spiritual care from a Christian perspective, such as prayer or acts of worship
• Be instrumental in supporting the project develop in this pilot phase

Training for this role is provided by PNMUK as part of their on-going programme of support and personal development for Parish Nursing nationally. The next course is 15-17th November with follow-up online sessions.

Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role will support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. We are looking for someone keen to move into the area of advising small charities on management and governance issues.

We are a very ambitious local grant-making charity that also offers various training, support and consultancy services to small charities and community groups in West London. Our broad-ranging plans are now beginning to bear fruit and so we need volunteers to help us in the following areas as demand for our services continues to grow:

Founded in 2013, Release Counselling and Therapy for Women is a charity that has supported the mental health of thousands of women across Sussex.

Over the last decade, we have developed a skilled and experienced therapy team, who offer a range of services to help women address the issues life throws at them.

Our support is unique as everything we do is created and led by qualified counsellors, and we have become best known for our Therapeutic Groups and Wellbeing Days for mums.  We also run a 1:1 counselling service for women, supporting them through those other challenges in life and are in the process of setting up couples counselling.

We are looking for qualified female counsellors or EMDR therapists to provide 3 or more 1-1 or couples therapy online and to deliver weekly sessions for up to 18 weeks for 50 minutes. Counsellors can join an optional peer supervision group and our quarterly team catch up.

Carbon MRV and Climate Finance Specialist

Role Overview
AtoANI Agriventures is looking for a Carbon MRV and Climate Finance Specialist to support the development of frameworks for measuring environmental outcomes from sustainable agriculture initiatives.
This role focuses on research and analytical support related to measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems, environmental impact monitoring, and emerging climate finance mechanisms related to agriculture and nature-based solutions.
The volunteer will assist in reviewing methodologies for environmental monitoring, exploring approaches for quantifying ecosystem benefits from regenerative agriculture, and supporting the preparation of technical documentation and reports.

The role will involve working closely with the project team to help translate environmental data into insights that can support sustainable farming practices and climate-aligned agricultural initiatives.

This role is well suited for individuals interested in carbon markets, climate finance, regenerative agriculture, or environmental impact measurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design digital MRV architecture for soil carbon monitoring.
• Assist in structuring MRV workflows for regenerative agriculture.
• Support research on carbon credit methodologies and soil carbon measurement.
• Align platform outputs with Verra methodology.
• Develop soil carbon quantification workflows.
• Coordinate for carbon issuance.
• Prepare documentation for carbon credit certification.
• Structure carbon pre-purchase agreements.
