Every year, Me2 Club matches over 130 children who have additional needs or disabilities with committed and passionate volunteers to help them attend and take part in mainstream leisure activities. We tackle the impact of exclusion and social isolation experienced by children and young people and help build their confidence, self-esteem and independence.
As a member of the Board of Trustees you will be jointly responsible for the legal, effective and safe running of Me2 Club. Working with other Trustees and the Chief Executive Officer you will provide strategic leadership to a growing and ambitious charity. As one of our ‘guardians of purpose’ you’ll make sure that all our decisions put the needs of children and their families first.
You’ll attend and contribute at regular Board meetings and have the opportunity to get involved in charitable activities from fundraising to meeting beneficiaries at family events.

We will have a couple of interview/recruitment events - we expect to have 2 evening sessions and 2 weekend sessions during the last week of May/first week of June.

Welcome Event (Induction) - Welcome and induction will take place between 7th July and 3rd August which will include full induction including with buddies. The new volunteers will not be attending any events during this phase
Training for role - Must be available to attend the training which is scheduled for 26th & 27th July 2025. Regular unit meetings are held on Wednesday evenings during school term times.

Construction/Facilities
We own our building. We love it, but it leaks when it rains, is difficult and expensive to heat and maintain. We have ambitious plans to ‘Raise the Roof’ (ie, build a new one), to build in a mezzanine floor to create capacity for growth, and to remodel our front of house. We are working with a team to produce Stage 2a design plans for submission to planning and then will be raising funds and exploring options to work with constructors. Role Overview
Title: Vice-Chair (Voluntary) Reports to: Board of Trustees.

BloodForce
We work in Ghana to eliminate the burden of blood acquisition on providers and patients in crisis by leveraging technology to galvanize the public to increase Ghana’s Blood Collection Index to greater than 10 by 2030, because no patient in crisis should die from unavailability of blood products.
Ghana at 5.6 per 1000 population, is significantly behind WHO minimum standard [10 per 1,000 population] required to meet a country’s basic transfusion needs. As a result, restrictive blood disbursement policies have resulted in delayed care for critical patients in Ghana and in many cases, avoidable deaths.
We believe that public communities can be mobilized to close gaps in health care delivery, particularly in developing countries. BloodForce plans to build an online blood donor community that can reliably and meaningfully increase blood donation rates in Ghana while helping patients and families navigate their blood product health crises. This community will also serve as a platform for advocacy and education, strengthening transfusion services across the country.
