We're looking for a Community Fundraising Officer, based at our rehoming centre in Harefield, West London, to promote the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups and deliver excellent customer care for all Dogs Trust supporters, but particularly potential and existing legacy pledgers.
What does this role do?
As Community Fundraising Officer, you’ll:
- link the rehoming centre with supporters in the local community, developing relationships with local individuals, businesses, community groups and clubs,
- feed into various income streams through these relationships, identifying prospects in the community and develop a pipeline of future donors and legacy donations,
- steward existing and potential donors, always providing them with a seamless supporter journey, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the work we do and feel motivated to support our meaningful local work,
- organise supporter events, talks and tours both onsite and externally.
- completing all administration related to donations to the centre, including thanking and banking.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some community fundraising experience, with the ability to build connections and connect with the local community. To do this, you’ll need excellent communication skills and be able to confidently approach and interact with supporters. While you’ll be a key part of the rehoming centre team, you’ll be regularly be working independently, so strong organisational skills and a proactive approach is essential.
This role is based at the rehoming centre, and the post holder will spend lots of time in the community meeting supporters. The working pattern is typically Monday and Tuesdays, but flexibility is required and is likely to involve some evening and weekend work, depending on the nature of the work.

Role Purpose
The Individual Giving Officer is a crucial position within EIA’s Fundraising team, which contributes to the delivery of the individual giving strategy through acquiring and stewarding new supporters, leading our face to face fundraising and mass participation event programmes and legacy marketing and stewardship.
You will need to have demonstrable experience of delivering campaigns across individual giving products and channels, excellent written communication and analytical skills, and experience of creating engaging and inspiring online and offline direct marketing communications.
Key areas of responsibility
New Supporter Acquisition: Face to Face fundraising
The Individual Giving Officer will lead our new acquisition channel, face to face fundraising, to recruit new regular givers:
- Responsible for the end-to-end management of acquisition campaigns, from briefing internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, to developing creative and monitoring results and evaluating performance
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on budget and meet the campaign KPIs
- Work with the Individual Giving Manager and Digital Implementation Officer to share content to feed into the bespoke supporter journeys for new supporters to increase engagement
Mass Participation Events
The Individual Giving Officer will lead our growing mass participation events programme. Building on the success of testing during 2026, learning will be applied to further expand the event programme during 2027 and beyond:
- Develop and manage the annual event calendar to ensure there is a broad range of events that are targeted towards EIA supporters
- Responsible for all elements of supporter recruitment and stewardship from developing marketing materials, working with the Social Media and Digital Engagement Manager and the Digital team to recruit new supporters, setting up fundraising pages and stewarding supporters to meet their fundraising targets, through to evaluating performance and applying learnings to future events.
Supporter retention, development, and engagement
The Individual Giving Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and inspiring supporter development activity and supporter journeys for individuals:
- Lead on creating the content and briefing suppliers for the supporter newsletter mailings which are sent out three times a year.
- Plan, implement and evaluate digital and offline supporter-driven supporter journeys from all individual giving audiences, including appeals, face to face, mass digital, regular giving and the weekly lottery
- Work closely with the Individual Giving Manager, Supporter Services Officer and teams across the organisation (including the Communications and Campaign teams) to develop inspiring and targeted content and communications that increase engagement and lifetime value of supporters
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and evaluating the success of supporter journeys
- Along with the Supporter Services Officer, be a key point of contact for supporters, ensuring that all supporters have a positive experience
Legacy Marketing and Stewardship
- Develop and deliver legacy marketing campaigns to acquire new legacy pledgers from our existing supporter base
- Take a key role in the engagement with the Remember a Charity consortium, and lead on the promotion of legacies during Remember a Charity Week
- Work with the Individual Giving Officer and the Communications team to ensure legacy messages are included in all relevant communications including appeals, supporter newsletters and Investigator magazine
- Responsible for all elements of legacy stewardship, from establishing engagement segmentation, to developing and delivering a legacy stewardship programme including bespoke communications, as well as on and offline events and webinars to maximise engagement and commitment from legacy pledgers
- Explore opportunities to recruit legacy pledgers from new audiences
Strategy development, budgeting and campaign reporting
- Work with the Head of Fundraising and Individual Giving Manager to develop fundraising strategy and annual plans
- Monitor income and expenditure of campaigns within your areas to ensure they meet budget and contribute to the mid-year reforecast process
- Produce regular campaign reports that monitor performance against KPIs and feed back to the Head of · of Fundraising and wider organisation to share successes with the EIA team

The Role
With support from the Head of Supporter Engagement and the Supporter Engagement Officer, you would develop and deliver the annual Individual Giving programme including acquisition and retention activities.
Manage the Door-to-Door Supporter recruitment campaign and the external F2F agency relationship.
Take responsibility for growing the Lotteries programme through a rolling programme of promotions to existing and potential Supporters.
Lead on digital campaigns to recruit and retain new supporters.
With support, produce annual Individual Giving budgets and monitor performance against agreed targets on a rolling basis.

We are now establishing a more structured and professional approach to fundraising and this role will play an important part in supporting the delivery of that activity and helping to build a sustainable income base for the future.

Job Description: Fundraising Officer
Line Manager:Director of Engagement and Education
Salary:£40,000-£45,000 per annum (pro rata if part time)
Normal place of work:The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, Norfolk, with some flexibility for hybrid working (1-2 days per week remote)
Hours:40 hours per week (may include weekends and Bank Holidays as required)
Holiday Terms:25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (those worked can be taken off in lieu)
Terms: An initial 6 months. The appointment to be confirmed, if satisfactory, after that period. Notice period - 8 weeks
Pension: The company operates a contributory pension scheme, the post holder contributing one third of the premium up to a maximum of five percent of salary.
Meals: During the Pilgrimage Season (1 February to 8 December) meals will be free of charge from the pilgrim refectory menu on the days the post holder is on shift.

Purpose of the role
To support the delivery of fundraising activity, ensuring that campaigns, communications and supporter relationships are well managed and professionally delivered.

Fundraising Officer – 4‑day week, hybrid, high‑impact charity based in Oxford

About the role:
We’re looking for a Fundraising Officer to join Aspire’s small, agile and supportive Fundraising & Communications team. You’ll be an all‑round fundraiser, working across corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and community, events and individual giving. You’ll help grow and diversify our voluntary income so that more people across Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley can move out of homelessness, poverty and long‑term unemployment into secure work and housing.
This is a hands‑on role with real variety: one week you might be crafting a pitch for a new corporate partner, the next you could be pulling together a trust report, planning a community fundraising event or writing supporter communications. You’ll have room to shape the role around your strengths while learning from experienced colleagues.

- Good organisational skills and comfort working to deadlines and targets.

Experience with Salesforce or AI tools would be helpful, but we’re more interested in your mindset: curious, proactive, organised and keen to learn.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stewardship and Events officer to join the Development, Alumni and Campaigns Office.
This role sits at the heart of our donor experience, supporting meaningful stewardship of our supporters and the delivery of engaging stewardship events. As we work towards delivering our £150m Dare to Do Different Campaign we want to ensure those supporting UEA receive an excellent donor experience. Working closely with colleagues and donors, you will help ensure every interaction is thoughtful, well‑organised and makes people feel genuinely valued.
You will play a key role in nurturing a positive and engaging donor journey. You will support the careful recording and management of donation and grant information, helping us steward supporters thoughtfully and keep records up to date so donors feel informed, appreciated and connected to our work.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will help ensure supporters receive timely, relevant and clear information about the impact of their support, while providing accurate data to colleagues to support fundraising activity. You will help plan, organise and deliver high‑quality stewardship events, creating welcoming, well‑run occasions that celebrate our supporters and strengthen long‑term relationships.
