The Role
To help us fulfill our mission, we seek Grants Officers, who will oversee complex strategic grantmaking activity, triage, monitoring and compliance, and clearance of conflicts of interest, sanctions, and data privacy. They will also support with managing urgent leadership directed grants where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
As Grants Officer, you will report to the Associate Director, Grants Management and be responsible for:
- Contributing to annual planning for US-based entities, forecasting resource allocation needs throughout the year.
- Leading grant closeout procedures, overseeing the collection of overdue reports for all grants funded by US-based entities, conducting FPR, OSI, OSPC processes. Manage the completion of the Grant Closure Project, identifying obstacles to report collection and establishing standard procedures for closing grants, including those for US-based funded programmatic units.
- Coordinating with Finance, Accounting & Compliance teams for audits of Open Society's US-based entities, as well as the preparation of annual tax filings and financial statements.
- Managing departmental budget, retreat/meeting schedules, and professional development opportunities.
- Conducting pre-award/post-award due diligence to ensure grants align with US-based entities' funding requirements and foundation policies.
- Facilitating internal audits for the Grants Management department.
- Collaborating with opportunities/programs colleagues to ensure timely and efficient proposal compliance review, grant award structuring, issuance of grant letters, payments and amendments, and grant closeout reviews.
- Providing comprehensive education and training on grant award compliance, grantmaking processes, Foundation Connect, GrantSmith, and Analytics Studio within the department and to colleagues across Open Society.
- Serving as a resource for Grants Assistants and other Grants Management colleagues, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Assisting in Grants Management processes related to equivalency determination, expenditure responsibility, OFAC compliance, COI compliance, and data privacy.
- Ensuring data integrity in the grantmaking system and provide reporting and analysis.
- Monitoring grant payment schedules and program budgets, ensuring financial efficiency.
- Liaising with Communications, Finance, GARA, Information Technology, the Office of General Council, outside organizations, and/or affinity groups on matters of mutual interest.
- Developing, documenting, revising, and implementing Grants Management policies, procedures, documents, templates, and multimedia materials.
- Representing Grants Management in cross-departmental staff meetings, workshops, retreats, and working groups.
- Supporting internal Grants Management operations and contribute to special projects as needed.

Experience
The ideal candidate must have a University Degree (BA or Bsc) and have the following experience and competencies:
- Extensive career experience within a large and complex non-profit organization.
- Previous working experience in individual grantmaking.
- Deep understanding and vision of how grantmaking aligns with programmatic strategy complemented by effective grantmaking practices.

To be successful as Specialist Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

Overall purpose:
As Fundraising and Campaigns Marketing Manager in the Marketing & Communications team, you will drive Ben’s fundraising and commercial services with individuals and businesses within the automotive industry. We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to support our Salesforce CRM Implementation and Data Migration as part of our dedicated CRM Programme team.
This position is for an 8-month Fixed Term Contract in line with the project timelines, with potential to extend.

About the role
As Technology Project Manager you will take on a busy and varied role as part of the CRM Programme, project managing the implementation of a new Salesforce platform and data migration, as part of the wider CRM programme.
As part of a team dedicated to the CRM Programme formed of a number of workstreams split across business and technology teams, you will own the full project lifecycle for the Salesforce Implementation and Data Migration projects, owning the time, budget, scope and quality of these projects.
The role will also include working closely with business representatives with solution delivery prioritisation and helping interpret how our Technology strategy is converted into tangible deliverables.
As Technology Project Manager, you will:
- Shape, scope and manage the implementation of the Salesforce Implementation and Data Migration projects from initial framing of the work through to completion
- Ensure that agreed milestones for project delivery are aligned with the overall Programme timelines and met
- Be accountable for the management and motivation of multi-disciplinary resources who will be working with you to ensure optimum project delivery (Business Analysts, Developers, Testers etc)
- Be accountable for managing supplier dependencies and for managing issues and taking corrective action to keep the project(s) on-track
- Be accountable for ensuring that all risks are adequately addressed, and mitigation strategies are put in-place for each risk.
About you
We're looking for a creative problem-solver with the ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
Bringing proven experience working with Salesforce / Data Migration projects, you'll demonstrate the ability to facilitate discussion and drive decisions on appropriate solutions, and be someone who shares knowledge and experience on project management ways of working across the organisation.
You'll demonstrate:
- A strong track record of successfully project managing CRM implementation, preferably Salesforce,and Data Migration projects to time, budget and quality within a technically complex and dynamic environment
- Hands-on experience of managing projects/programmes that include data manipulation, integration, ETL processes and CRM tools
- Good hands-on knowledge of high-level technical architecture
- High level understanding of one of the following: Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Power BI
- Strong track of record of working with supporting infrastructures (e.g. databases, middleware and communications technologies required for web-enabled business applications)
- Practical experience of software development lifecycles and project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Prototyping etc.) and associated documentation
- Practical experience of Agile Principles, processes and techniques (iterative development, backlog tracking, burndown charts, task definition, sprint planning, retrospectives and velocity, daily stand-ups, Kanban boards)
- An industry recognised qualification in Project Management or similar technical field.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). About the role:
We are excited to be taking the lead in the London Whole Housing Service Partnership (LWHSP) which will address and enhance the pathways of housing support for women experiencing domestic abuse, from removing them from immediate harm, to enabling recovery and resettlement across all levels of need. The LWHSP are seeking to build on our delivery across 11 East and West London boroughs of the Whole Housing Approach (WHA).
The Housing IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will specialise in working with clients for whom housing, and risk of tenancy breakdown is a factor. You will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. You will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to work as part of Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.
About You:
As a Housing IDVA, you will need to have a degree of flexibility for colocation work across London boroughs; providing support to women who have experienced domestic violence, focusing on individuals with housing or tenancy issues. Working in our fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy and support service, you’ll ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will have your own caseload of survivors and will focus on working with those aged 18 and over who access our domestic abuse service.
You will bring experience in providing independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women who approach housing advice and assessment for help. Ideally experience in working with housing service providers, and advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies. You will have the ability to develop individual safety and support plans in-line with the clients’ needs and the risks they face.

Purpose of role
We are currently seeking a Project Manager in Philanthropy, whose primary objective is to assist the Senior Philanthropy Advisors (SPA) in securing essential funding to combat global climate change. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in philanthropic activities and proficiency in managing multiple high-priority tasks autonomously, which are crucial for effectively managing various project management responsibilities essential to fulfilling the objectives of the Philanthropy Team. Through collaboration with various teams such as Philanthropy, Global Climate Strategies, Communications, and Operations, the ideal candidates will ensure seamless coordination and delivery of donor-related initiatives and projects. Leveraging their strong project management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and dedication to environmental causes, the Project Manager, Philanthropy will make a significant contribution to the organization's mission of fostering climate leadership worldwide.
Primary responsibilities
Strategic support of primary donor portfolio (70%)
Donor deliverables (50%)
· Project manage donor deliverables and other donor-related work streams as defined by strategies set by SPAs, including but not limited to developing and managing or leading work plans, timelines, and tracking status of all the moving parts to meet internal and external deadlines.
· Negotiate project timelines and gather input from colleagues to design project plans.
· Serve as a thought partner to SPAs on donor strategies.
· Liaise with members of the Global Climate Strategies, Communications, and Operations teams to ensure effective collaboration on donor deliverables and products.
· Tap the Knowledge Management System to field simple donor-related SPA needs (e.g., pulling final donor products by theme).
· Prepare high-quality, strategic briefs and support preparation of other donor materials (including decks, advisory materials, funding opportunities, etc.) for meetings with donors, ambassadors, volunteers, and partners.
· Responsible for detailed briefings to prepare for donor meetings, events etc. drawing from research and background information from the Senior Research Analyst.
Administration and workflow (20%)
· Summarize and take responsibility for key action items from internal and external meetings, distribute information to teammates and manage follow-up with appropriate internal and external staff.
· Coordinate complex external meetings with the appropriate administrative assistant(s) as necessary across the organization for the Senior Philanthropy Advisors.
· Responsible for timely Salesforce data entry and management including donor activities (emails, meeting notes, etc.), updating and maintaining giving opportunities, projections, invite lists, prospect lists, and monthly portfolio reviews.
Special projects that scale our donor work and advance team goals (30%)
· Contribute to special projects as assigned including but not limited to project management support for Ambassadors, select events, proactive products, and priority big bets; building and maintaining the Philanthropy Team strategic playbook and cascading learnings in partnership with the Deputy Managing Director, and supporting pipeline development in key regions.
Success criteria
· Implementation of complex projects: You’re a confident project manager, leading and executing a portfolio of interconnected projects with close attention to detail across multiple stakeholders. This requires you to be highly organized and attentive to detail.
· Written and verbal communications: Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, with an ability to deliver verbal presentations in multiple settings.
· Self-motivation: You are solutions-oriented, proactively taking initiative, identifying problems and opportunities across your assignments, and developing recommendations and acting on those recommendations.

Experience
· Project management experience.
· Bachelor’s degree, course work in business management or environmental policy preferred.
· 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience (in or with nonprofit, foundation, or other mission-focused organizations preferred) in a program support role.
· Fundraising experience is strongly preferred.
· Experience working in service to a broad range of clients and stakeholders preferred.
Qualifications
· Strong project management skills.
· Excellent writing and editing skills with proven ability to translate complex concepts into succinct, clear, accessible language for multiple audiences.
· Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Box.
· Knowledge of Asana, Google systems (Drive and Sites) as well as Salesforce.
· Excellent research and analytical skills.
· Demonstrates ability to work individually, as part of a team, and with individuals of diverse backgrounds who are part of the climate change conversation.
· Ability to make decisions independently and work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
· Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure in a high-performing team is a must.
· Comfort with flexible, dynamic, and multi-cultural teams across global time zones.
· Passion for environmental issues.
· Business fluency in Portuguese a plus for London-based project manager.
