About the role

You will develop PRHA residents’ English language and literacy skills supporting them through individually-tailored 121 sessions /group sessions so as to improve their skills and confidence in written and/or spoken English.

The role will involve you using your abilities to

• Promote the service to hostel and supported housing residents
• Assess needs and put together a bespoke, personalised training programme
• To support residents through that programme
• Collect data and other relevant information that demonstrates the impact of the programme
• Ensure buy-in from hostel staff and managers so they can support you in your work
• Liaise with external literacy and educational establishments as necessary to help further development in improvement of English literacy/language

Who we are looking for

We are looking for the candidate that meets the personal specification of this role, and especially you 

1. will be a qualified English Language Tutor

2. can demonstrate strong ability of tutoring homeless people who experience difficulties with English language and literacy, including those for whom English is a second language

3. can demonstrate ability to run English language and literacy sessions 121 /group sessions with rough sleepers/those who live in supported housing

PRHA is a specialist Housing Association and adult social care provider focused on East London, mainly Tower Hamlets and the City, Hackney and Southwark. We help people who are homeless (or at risk of becoming homeless) to help themselves through a wide range of residential and non-residential services. As well as having suffered the crisis of homelessness, many of our residents have support needs relating to substance misuse, poor mental and physical health.

We’re excited to be recruiting for a key leadership position supporting Oasis’ youth and community work in the North West region (covering delivery in Greater Manchester and Bradford).With accountability to the Oasis Community Partnerships CEO the role of the Regional Youth and Community Director has three main functions:

1 Strategic management oversight of local Youth and Community teams

Job Description

To provide effective teaching, learning and assessment on a specific site for a College for 14-19 year olds, delivering a safe and secure education provision for ESOL students with complex needs and behaviours. To be the driver in behaviour management and student support for complex and vulnerable students. • Teach ESOL students, from pre-entry level to Level 2.
• Teach Functional Skills Entry level Maths.

The Ben Kinsella Trust is one of the UK’s leading anti-knife crime charities. We were set up following the tragic murder of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella in 2008, and everything we do is guided by his legacy. Our mission is to prevent knife crime through education and campaigning. 

Ben was a kind, creative young person who loved art, music, Arsenal FC, and making people laugh. He had big dreams of becoming a graphic designer. His death was a senseless act of violence, and the outpouring of grief and public support that followed marked the start of a movement. Ben’s own words, written shortly before his death, called for change, and his voice continues to inspire our work.  

Through immersive workshops in our Choices and Consequences Exhibitions and free online resources, we have reached over 50,000 young people so far. Our work challenges myths about knife crime, strengthens peer influence, and sparks meaningful conversations. As we grow, we remain committed to honouring Ben’s life by making a real, lasting difference to young people across the UK.

About the Role 

We are looking for an education or youth work professional who can deliver our programmes to a very high standard. You will be a skilled facilitator and communicator who can engage with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Additionally, we are seeking someone who shares our values and is passionate about using education as a tool to support and empower young people and to stop knife crime. 

As Youth Programmes Officer you will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of our flagship knife crime prevention workshops to young people, to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity to support autistic young people to develop workplace skills, build independence and progress towards meaningful, sustained employment within a vibrant and inclusive working environment.

About the Role

As a Job Coach, you will provide tailored training and on-the-job support to interns placed within Amazon Weybridge. You will work closely with interns, host business staff, parents and carers to ensure each intern is supported to succeed and reach their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualised, on-site job coaching and training to interns within the host business
• Support interns to develop workplace skills, confidence and independence
• Work collaboratively with Amazon Weybridge managers and staff to support inclusive employment practices
• Liaise regularly with parents and carers to share progress and address any support needs
• Monitor intern progress against agreed outcomes and contribute to reviews and reports
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and professional workplace standards
• Support interns to transition into sustained paid employment where possible

Oasis City Farm - Southampton is a community focused registered charity. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We have an exciting opportunity to become a full-time member of our farm team as an Education Assistant.

You will deliver engaging, educational and wellbeing-boosting activities for children and young people at Oasis City Farm – Southampton. These will be individual and group-based sessions, using animals, nature, gardening and practical farm activities to support learning, confidence, emotional wellbeing, social development and life skills.

You will be responsible for the safety, welfare and engagement of the children and young people participating in sessions, ensuring all activities are inclusive, accessible and delivered to a high standard and complete admin, monitoring, evaluation and feedback associated with your sessions.

The role will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the farm, supporting animal care and site maintenance through educational and therapeutic sessions and community activities in line with the Oasis ethos.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

· Relevant qualifications or experience in animal management or outdoor learning.

· Relevant qualifications or experience in youth work, teaching, or community-based projects.

· The flexibility to work across the week, including school holidays. This may include occasional evenings and weekends but time off in lieu would be given if this was necessary.

· Excellent verbal communication skills.

· IT literate and able to complete

· Proven ability to work alongside others in projects that work with the public.

· Punctuality, reliability, and honesty.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised, agile and structured Senior Programmes Manager to lead the operational planning, project management and execution of our flagship educational programmes. In this role, you will be the operational engine behind multiple cross-departmental projects, with a focus on meeting the needs of our global teachers and students, as well as funders.

In this fixed-term role you will work closely with our educational content leads, designers and external stakeholders to ensure our high-impact classroom resources and live events are delivered seamlessly, on time and to the highest standard. Rather than drafting the pedagogy yourself, you will manage the project lifecycles, coordinate workflow across internal and external teams and optimise the systems that allow our world-class educational programmes to reach over 1 million young people globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project and operational management

• Manage the Topical Talk Leadership for Change Prize, Live Lessons, curriculum modules and student workshops end-to-end: from roadmaps and capacity mapping through to impact and evaluation
• Project manage the filming required for our content delivery, including the booking and management of experts, production teams and Economist colleagues
• Track and coordinate progress across content creators, graphic designers, proofreaders and editors to ensure all deliverables meet tight production deadlines
• Balance team workloads across concurrent educational projects and plan capacity for incoming projects
• Continuously refine workflow processes to streamline resource creation and evaluation

Programme governance and evaluation

• Partner with the Director of Programmes to track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate audience reach and maintain rigorous data collection for monitoring and evaluating our programmes
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, content risks or scheduling delays, implementing swift mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track

Live Lesson and workshop operations

• Manage the end-to-end operational execution of student workshops and our Live Lessons – handling scheduling, platform setups and logistics
• Coordinate school visits for content testing and observation, ensuring all safeguarding and operational requirements are fully met

Stakeholder and relationship coordination

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for external topic experts, guest contributors, and editorial contributors from The Economist Group
• Maintain clear lines of communication between the programmes team, marketing, operations and external partners to ensure projects are aligned with strategic aims
• Manage external freelance contractors and vendors, with support from the administrative officer

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

You have…

• A track record of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams (e.g. writers, designers, subject-matter experts) under tight production schedules
• Experience implementing monitoring, reporting and evaluation frameworks to track project success metrics and user engagement
• Practical experience running hybrid, in-person, or large-scale virtual workshops and webinars

The Role
Position: Dog Trainer
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Homebased covering Northampton region (see map for area)
Travel: This role will involve regular travel within the geographical area which you will cover (Northampton). Travel is usually by car however there may be some use of public transport. Occasional regional travel and overnight stays.

You'll play a vital role in training assistance dogs to a high standard whilst supporting volunteers, partners and the wider team to ensure the health, wellbeing and successful placement of the dogs throughout their working career.

What You'll Be Doing

• Train Canine Partners dogs at all stages of their training, using positive and reward-based training.
• Tailor training programmes to suit individual partner needs during the matching process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all dogs in training.
• Deliver partnership placement courses, supporting both the partner and dog through the transition.
• Participate in volunteer recruitment activities, including events, social media campaigns and community outreach.

About You

• Strong practical and theoretical experience in dog training and behaviour.
• Ability to handle and train dogs at all ages, using positive and reward-based training methods.
• Good self-motivation, discipline and initiative.
• ICT skills, Microsoft Office, Salesforce (desirable but can offer training), email, internet etc.
• Full UK clean driving license and use of a vehicle for work that is suitable to safely transport a dog if required.
• ABTC-ATI or similar qualification or the willingness to complete it.
• Good communication and coaching / teaching skills.
