Job description

Education and Training Lead

Full time at 35 hours
Remote working, blend of home working and travelling based in East of England, UK
Salary: £25,375 – £28,420 Dependent on experience

GamCare is the UK’s leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling-related harms.

Our flagship Youth Outreach Programme expanded in April 2020. The programme is designed to deliver education to young people on safer gambling choices over the next four years. To find out more about the programme, please visit GamCare website/ Youth programme /Youth outreach programme

GamCare are recruiting for an Education and Training Lead to promote, schedule, and deliver workshops to young people and training to professionals, as well as building strong regional networks to raise awareness of the programme.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establish the reputation of the GamCare Youth Outreach programme in youth work settings across regions
  • Promote, arrange, and deliver training sessions to youth-facing professionals (e.g. youth workers, teachers, social workers) in your region
  • Promote, arrange, and deliver young peoples’ workshops to 11-19-year olds in East of England
  • Maintain a network of local stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and provide statistical information required to assist delivery and evaluation.
  • Be a point of contact for people interested in GamCare’s young people’s projects in East of England

You should have previous experience working with young people aged 11-19 and delivering educative content to a variety of audiences.

The role will require delivery time in the specified region and the surrounding area, as well as administration done from home.

You will form part of an enthusiastic team working and committed to supporting those affected by problem gambling across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland., and work with a supportive a supportive line management team.
