About the role:
We are looking for a Community Liaison to support and empower communities across the UK to be more stoma friendly and provide better support to those living with a stoma. We are a national charity and want to enable individuals, support groups, hospitals and other organisations to collaborate locally and your role will be to facilitate and encourage this.
You will be an ambassador for Colostomy UK, speaking on our behalf, promoting our support services, activities, and campaigns nationwide. Identifying and detecting opportunities for the development and growth of our charity will be an exciting part of this role, alongside ensuring we are reaching as many beneficiaries as possible that want or need our support.
This role is remote, with extensive UK wide travel. Most of your time will be out and about meeting people, so if you are a confident driver with access to your own car for business use, this would be an advantage. This role may involve overnight stays, early mornings, evenings and weekends so flexibility is a must. You will spend 1 or 2 days a month working at our Head Office, RG41.
You’ll need to have a naturally confident and amicable demeanour, with the ability to build rapport and long-lasting meaningful relationships with professionals across different industries and individuals within the community. You’ll have strong organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and manage a busy diary that takes you across the country. As an excellent communicator with strong ability to influence, you’ll be comfortable networking and delivering training to large groups of people. You’ll be resourceful, proactive and efficient, with a flexible community-oriented approach.
Core role responsibilities
· Develop strategies and activities to enable us to engage all demographics in the communities.
· Develop, maintain, and build key relationships with stoma care nurses, support groups and individuals in the stoma community.
· Support individuals to set up support groups in their area and act as a mentor to help them develop and grow the group, ensuring that we have a strong presence across the UK.
· Facilitate dialogue and community collaboration between local organisations; schools/ universities, businesses, charities and individuals.
· Work closely with event organisers and our Volunteers Manager to ensure we are represented at stoma open days, fundraising events and local events.
· Manage the delivery of our face-to-face and virtual active ostomates, and care workshop programmes.
· Develop, manage and deliver Stoma Awareness Training to an array of organisations looking to upskill their staff. This includes upskilling our volunteer team to be able to also deliver this training nationwide.
· Identify local fundraising opportunities and discuss potential opportunities with the Fundraising Manager.
· Support the Volunteer Manager to develop and deliver the volunteer and engagement strategy for mutual volunteer support, working closely with them regarding volunteer roles and their requirements.
· Work with the CEO and Marketing & Campaigns Manager to ensure representation at different meetings and forums across the UK.
· Write and present regular reports for team, management and board meetings.

The Charity
The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Wiltshire and Swindon. In 2024 we plan to expand our services to support young people from Somerset through our YAT Resilience Programme in the first instance but eventually through all four of our Programmes.
Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.

The Role
As an Administrative Support Officer, you will work with Lloyds Bank Foundation’s People and Communities team to coordinate, manage and monitor internal and external activities, working closely with the PA to the Director of Communities and support to the Communities Team. The primary function of this role is to support the CEO and Head of Member Engagement with all administrative activities that relate to our existing membership and training, including updating our CRM system (ThankQ), dealing with membership correspondence and growth, hosting webinars via Zoom, and helping to plan and deliver our annual conference (May 10th in 2023) in London. Main Duties
• Membership and data:
- Initial contact for all membership, training and stakeholder enquiries
- Processing memberships on ThankQ, to include:

- Providing our finance function with the information required to invoice new and renewing members

As part of our growing programme team, you will help us to bring Facing History’s approach and resources to a growing number of educators and provide support to them as they implement our work in their classrooms.
Role Overview
The Programme Associate delivers Facing History training and support to educators, helps to build and engage our network of teachers and, using Facing History’s pedagogical framework, creates clear and accessible curriculum materials and resources.
The Programme Associate will initially be managed by the Executive Director and be accountable to our Senior Programme Associate (responsible for programme delivery) and Senior Curriculum Developer (responsible for developing and adapting educational resources) respectively for work that falls into their areas of responsibility.
This post holder will be required to attend meetings in London and there will be travel across the UK. Proximity to good transport links is therefore essential.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Working alongside the programme team, the postholder will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

Programme Delivery: planning, preparing for and delivering training for educators both online and in person.

Teacher Community Support and Engagement: creating relationships with teachers across our community, and running events and opportunities for them to engage more effectively with the organisation. Supporting the development of our teacher engagement journey and implementing new elements of this as they are developed. Supporting our developing online communities, and working to build and expand membership and engagement with them. Supporting evaluation and monitoring of the work, utilising relationships with teachers to secure their participation in surveys, focus groups and evaluation studies, as needed. Content Development: alongside the Senior Curriculum Developer, developing web- and print-based content for teachers and students, including lesson plans, units, study guides, and other resources. Researching, writing, and summarising complex histories to provide context for resources. Maintaining knowledge and expertise in best practices in teaching, pedagogy, and assessment, and ensuring those practices are reflected as appropriate in Facing History content. Providing content for our Ideas This Week website page and providing other means of supporting teachers to respond to current events in their classrooms. In conjunction with the Programme Administrator write / review content for Facing History UK social media activity linked to existing and newly developed resources.
Other: contributing to the smooth operation and effectiveness of the charity as part of a small team, representing the charity at events and conferences as required, and supporting the work of other members of the team as reasonably required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting Hosts

Since launching in April 2020, The SEND Advice Service has supported over 1000 families who need legally-based advice in relation to the education needs of their child or young person with SEND. We are adapting to meet demand. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a rewarding role and gain a strong sense of achievement.
As the Senior Send Education Adviser, you will provide high-quality information, advice and support to children and young people with SEND aged 0-25 years and their parents and carers in line with the SEN Code of Practice and associated legal framework. You will answer queries from the public and provide support in a range of areas relating to SEND education. Most of our queries are in relation to Education, Health and Care plans (EHCPs)
You will manage a small team and oversee the caseload. Your line manager will provide support, guidance and additional training opportunities.
No two days are the same and this is an interesting and varied role that would suit someone who has a good working knowledge of SEN Legislation and the statutory guidance. You will have relevant experience providing support and giving legally-based advice to people seeking help in relation to EHCPs, SEND education and associated matters.
Ideally, the candidate would have completed all of the IPSEA SEN Law training levels 1-3.
The majority of the service is delivered via phone or via video call appointments across the working week during office hours. We also provide weekly in-person meetings which take place at our centre in Twickenham or occasional outreach centres, including our new centre in Hounslow opening next spring. The role will also involve providing training for parent-carers via F2F workshops and webinars.

Skylarks is looking to increase the knowledge and support offered in-house but will continue to utilise the third party for more complex cases. We also work closely with other education advisers, law firms and statutory services such as SENDIASS, to ensure the best possible outcomes for families and this role will involve building on those relationships.
We currently do not provide support with appeals to the SEND First Tier Tribunal, but we are looking to do so. It would therefore be an advantage if you had some experience in supporting individuals with appeals.

Patients, their families and caregivers will access the service to request a conversation with someone matched on a range of factors which could include treatment modality, location, age and life experience.
This is a new service that the Peer Support manager will establish and shape, working effectively with stakeholders to build a trusted service that patients and healthcare professionals want to engage with. This is very much a hands-on role covering all aspects of delivering the service; creating resources and processes; recruiting, training and stewarding volunteers; promotion, and building relationships with NHS renal units to attract service users; and of course, matching individuals to encourage patients to feel empowered to make choices and manage their condition with confidence.

About the role:
As our Management Accountant, your main responsibility is to provide the organisation and its management with prompt and accurate financial information which supports effective decision making. The finance team is small, and the Management Accountant is expected to have some responsibilities to ensure RAD maintains strong internal financial controls and remains robust when there is absence.
