How you can make a difference:

Are you a painter, illustrator, knitter or potter? You might be a sports teacher, a music student or even a professional writer. If you are dedicated to supporting young people and you’ve got a super skill you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you!

A sibling or young carer is a young person who lives with a family member with a disability, such as a parent or sibling, often providing support or care. Here at Sense, we know that it’s not always easy being a young carer, or the sibling of a disabled person. Their wellbeing and happiness are just as important. That is why we deliver activities and sessions specifically for young people aged 5-18, who have a caring role for a parent or have a sibling with a disability.

We run a wide range of virtual group sessions after school and at weekends. Our sessions are designed to meet the interests of the young people we support, supporting their wellbeing, giving them opportunities to socialise with other siblings and young carers, and providing a fun break that is just for them. 

We are looking for volunteers to share their skills and engage groups of young people through fun, interactive, and accessible Zoom workshops. Volunteers will have experience in one of the following skills, either through study, teaching, running a business, or delivering workshops. Please note you only need one of the following skill areas to apply, however if you have experience in more than one, please do let us know:

• Arts/drawing
• Crafts/creative projects
• Sports/fitness
• Music
• Graphics/design/animation
• Gaming
• Creative writing

We welcome your application if you have another area of expertise you believe would be a great opportunity for young people to partake in.

This a great opportunity to utilise your own skills and experience to deliver impactful recreational sessions to siblings and young carers across the country. You do not need to have previous experience working with siblings or young carers, we will provide you with training and ongoing support to equip you for your role.

Our staff team will be there to support you every step of the way. The volunteer role is really flexible – you might run workshops after school, evenings, or any time at the weekend – once a month, twice a month, or more if you’d like! You will build up a great rapport with the young people and gain amazing experience supporting them each month.

Our shops play an essential role in raising the profile of the RSPCA in our local community and funds for our branch so that we can continue our vital animal welfare work. Volunteer eBay Coordinator responsibilities

•  Researching and listing the items for sale in our dedicated eBay store.
•  A picture is worth 1,000 words so ensuring that attractive photographs are taken to boost eBay sales.
•  Packaging items appropriately before posting them to the buyer.
•  Maintaining accurate records of listed and sold items.

•  Ideally, you would have experience in selling items on eBay.
• Can create attractive listings for a wide variety of items.
•  Someone who is flexible and can offer an ongoing commitment.

Our voluntary roles are subject to an informal interview and trial period. We will ask you to provide contact details for two referees, and dependent on the position, you may need to sign an agreement and undergo specific training before starting the role.

The job entails working closely with project/programme managers in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation's internal operations, external networking, HR, events, communications & fundraising. Successful candidates will be able to gain proven experience in each of the highlighted areas.

Provide receptionist and general admin support to the team, including basic bookkeeping

An accredited museum and award winning visitor attraction, Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome is a charity and the largest surviving Great War Aerodrome in Europe.

Brighton and Hove ABC is a registered charity and community boxing club that provides a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We are the UK's leading liver charity based in central Winchester, currently seeking local volunteer support to assist our admin team during busy periods - now!  We are open Mon-Fri 0900-1700 and welcome any few hours you may like to gift to us in this role.

Role overview

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work efficiently and independently to help us create an exciting and dynamic fundraising strategy to maximise income generation and raise awareness of the organisation. 

Main duties of the role

• Contribute to the development of fundraising ideas
• Research and evaluate local and national trends for activities and make recommendations
• Support the development of the events calendar
• Plan and support the delivery of fundraising events and activities acting as an ambassador for YSS
• Adhere to company policies, particularly our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion policy, GDPR policy and Safeguarding policy.

Our Board comprises a Chair and up to thirteen other trustees and it works closely with the Chief Executive and staff members of Keep Wales Tidy.

In order to ensure effective corporate governance, our Board of Trustees meet at least four times a year.

The time commitment for trustees is approximately ten to twelve days per year, to attend Board meetings, staff away days and other committee meetings. These Board meetings currently take place online, however the other meetings may happen in locations across Wales.

Due to our charity regulations, this is an unpaid position, however reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Previous board experience is not necessary as a full induction and training will be provided. Among those we recruit this time we’d be particularly pleased to see some of you with experience in at least one of the areas below:
