Position: Marketing Manager

Location: Hybrid with at least one day per week based at one of our communities. About the role

This is a new senior role at WSC, with responsibility for developing and delivering our fundraising strategy and building the systems, relationships and income streams needed to support the organisation's next stage of growth.

Fundraising strategy and leadership

● Set and monitor fundraising objectives, income targets and KPIs reporting quarterly to the Executive Director and Board on progress, opportunities and risks.

● Develop and maintain WSC’s prospect map identifying priority funders and prospects and setting clear cultivation strategies and next steps for each.

● Develop WSC’s major donor pipeline including compelling cases for support, and cultivation plan for priority prospects.

Working within a High Value Engagement team, you will focus primarily on trusts and statutory funders with the potential to give £50,000+ per year, alongside managing a smaller portfolio of trusts giving below this level.

A key part of the role will be identifying and cultivating new prospects, strengthening the funding pipeline and developing relationships that lead to significant and recurring support. You will bring tenacity, curiosity and strong relationship-building skills, with the ambition to secure six-figure gifts.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and developing new 5-, 6- and 7-figure funding opportunities

About you

You will have experience of trust and statutory fundraising within the charity sector and a proven track record of securing five-figure or higher gifts.

You will be confident researching and approaching new funders, developing relationships and turning opportunities into sustainable income.

An excellent communicator and persuasive writer, you will be able to take complex information and turn it into clear, compelling proposals. You will also be organised, target-driven and comfortable managing your own workload while collaborating with colleagues at all levels.

Experience of CRM databases, prospect research and grant management will also be important.

Community Fundraising Manager

Salary: Outer London Business Support Scale, Grade 5\6 (Spine Points 21.1 – 28), £32,064 - £36,579 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.

Working Pattern: Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office; travel across all OHC&AT sites and to external meetings required, including at weekends, for which time off in lieu will be given. The Fundraising Executive will provide essential operational support to the Fundraising Team, with primary responsibility for maintaining accurate, timely and useful information in our CRM system, Donorfy. The postholder will process and reconcile donations, maintain high-quality supporter records, coordinate prompt and personalised donor acknowledgements, and produce clear insights to support fundraising decisions across Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid.
