We’re looking for a Fundraising Assistant to support the delivery of our fundraising activity and help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same, from supporting events and coordinating fundraising materials to managing data and providing excellent supporter care.

You’ll work closely with the Fundraising & Events Lead and wider team, playing a key role in delivering a positive experience for our supporters and helping us grow income across the charity.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the delivery of fundraising activity across events, community, corporate and individual giving

• Assisting with event preparation, logistics, registrations and supporter communications

• Preparing fundraising packs, materials and resources for supporters

• Responding to enquiries and ensuring a friendly, professional supporter experience

• Maintaining accurate records on our CRM (Beacon) and supporting income processing

• Coordinating thank you communications, certificates and stewardship activity

• Supporting volunteer coordination and engagement

• Assisting with basic prospect research and identifying fundraising opportunities

• Supporting social media content and fundraising communications where needed

About you

This role would suit someone who is organised, proactive and keen to build a career in fundraising. You might already have experience in an administrative, customer service or charity role, or be looking for your first step into the sector.

Join Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and play a vital role in ensuring our teams can support families facing the unimaginable, helping us make a real difference.

We are looking to appoint a full-time Trust and Foundations Fundraising Lead (35 hours per week) to lead and develop Rainbow Trust’s trusts and foundations fundraising programme. You will manage relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, raising the funds we need to deliver and grow our support services.

Our Philanthropy team is an ambitious team with a well-established fundraising programme, playing a significant role in raising £5.7m a year to fund our support services and with plans to grow income over the next 3-5 years. We have an established portfolio of funders, giving low level gifts to six figure donations and you will have the opportunity to work on large applications.

• You will cultivate strong working relationships with a portfolio of trust and foundations, including five- and six-figure grants.
• Increase Trust’s engagement and support of the charity, through reports, meetings, and phone calls.
• Through the identification and research of new prospective trust funders, you will find creative ways to engage with them to secure funding.
• You will also collaborate with internal teams to develop strong cases for support and impact measurement.

• Excellent research and writing skills, preferably with experience of successfully securing four- or five-figure gifts from charitable trusts and foundations
• The ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external people – including trust managers and trustees to build great relationships and influence
• Knowledge of the requirements of trust funders, the principles of application-writing and effective project reporting and of managing a funding portfolio or similar
• A persuasive and open communicator - the ability to develop and submit high-quality and compelling funding proposals and reports to trusts, working closely with colleagues across the charity

• Committed to providing the highest level of donor care, including creative stewardship for funders, meeting all grant terms and conditions and responding effectively and promptly to enquiries received from donors, funders and prospects.

Location

This role is based at our Cirencester office, with opportunities for some home working. The post will involve some local travel across the South Cotswolds to meet supporters, partners, and community groups. 

Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our small, friendly staff team, you will lead the development of fundraising from individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations, and community groups. You will identify new funding opportunities, craft compelling bids, and nurture long‑term partnerships that help sustain our annual running costs and strengthen our future resilience.

You will also take a leading role in shaping how we share our story. Working closely with the Head of Foodbank and colleagues, you will create marketing materials, digital and print content, fundraising campaigns, and communications that bring our mission and our clients’ experiences to life. This includes producing newsletters, fundraising appeals, social media content, and materials for events and outreach activities.

A central part of this role is inspiring and stewarding supporters, whether that’s someone making a one‑off donation, a local business exploring a partnership, or a trust considering a grant application. You will represent the Foodbank at community events across the region, building relationships with schools, churches, associations, local groups and businesses. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll help capture stories and case studies from people with lived experience of food poverty (with sensitivity and respect) to illustrate the realities facing local families and to strengthen our fundraising, communications, and advocacy work. LOCATION:

This role will be based predominantly at Pavilion Buildings in Brighton. Depending on their roles, our staff can be required to work in a range of different sites, including our main training centre, enrichment site, training cafes and employer’s premises. 

JOB SUMMARY 

In this role, you will support the delivery and growth of Team Domenica’s thriving Trusts Fundraising programme. Following on from our recent capital appeal, Team Domenica is looking to grow its wide portfolio of grant funders to help the charity continue to deliver excellent training for young people with learning disabilities. 

Working alongside the Trusts and Grants team, your focus will be on securing grant income from a variety of organisations, from medium awards to larger, six-figure gifts. You will build a pipeline of prospects and develop compelling applications that illuminate how funders’ support can change young lives. You will also be comfortable presenting your work and Team Domenica’s mission to funders or other shareholders during visits or meetings.

You will proactively help shape our Trusts’ strategy and build meaningful relationships that generate income, add value to our programmes and raise awareness of what we do. This role is ideal for someone with strong research and writing skills looking to take the next exciting step in their fundraising career and make a huge impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for supporting our Trust fundraising strategy by securing medium-sized grants, with the opportunity to work on larger (six-figure) applications in line with agreed income targets 

• Prepare thorough and well-researched fundraising applications 

• Craft progress reports for Team Domenica’s funders 

• Draft weekly reports on Trusts activity for the Fundraising Manager and CEO 

• Research new prospects to build the Trusts pipeline

• Alongside the Fundraising Manager, be responsible for project managing a portfolio of funders, including drafting timelines, detailed notes and a plan for application delivery

• Steward a portfolio of existing partnerships, ensuring funders have an engaging experience that involves their teams and supports our fundraising goals 

• Record detailed notes of funder progress and awards on Team Domenica’s CRM database (Donorfy) 

• Attend regular meetings with the fundraising team 

• Work with the Employment Team to develop funding opportunities, understand new priorities and any advancements in Team Domenica’s training programmes 

• Prepare and deliver presentations about Team Domenica when needed to funders, at networking events or other community activities to support relationship building

Essential 

• Proven record of securing small and medium sized grants within a charitable organisation 

• Strong, demonstrable writing skills, with the ability to create inspiring narratives. You will be comfortable working autonomously on detailed, complex bids, highlighting a clear need through storytelling 

• Thorough research skills 

• Strong numerical aptitude, with the ability to understand and manipulate budgets 

• Extensive experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word 

• Ability to manage workload, competing tasks and meet deadlines 

• Understanding of data and its importance and a willingness to learn how to report effectively using a CRM database 

• Demonstrative ability to cultivate effective relationships with external shareholders. 

Desirable 

• The ability to present Team Domenica’s case for support to a variety of stakeholders, from grant directors to board members to members of the government 

• Experience as a Trusts Fundraiser 

• Understanding of other fundraising income streams and/or philanthropic strategies 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant field is desirable but not essential

The Criminal Justice Alliance (CJA) is seeking a strategic and creative Fundraising and Impact Manager to join our small but mighty team. As the only completely independent member body in the criminal justice sector, we represent over 200 charities, academics, legal experts, and individuals with lived and professional experience. This is a brand-new, high-impact role created at a pivotal moment as we approach our 20th anniversary and begin developing our 2027-30 strategy.

Job Title: Senior Fundraising Manager 

Responsible to: Director of Communications, Engagement and Fundraising  

Salary: £49,271 - £54,766

Location: USPG, 5 Trinity Street, London, SE1 1DB 
 

Hours of work: Full time 5 days per week (35 hours per week) with a minimum of 2 days per week in the London office.  Occasional work outside normal working hours with time off in lieu.

About the Role 

The role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising (CEF) directorate and reports to its director. The team serves the needs of the organisation by engaging a range of key audiences through various media channels, volunteer engagement, events and fundraising. The post holder will work in close collaboration with others across the organisation and will enjoy working in an innovative and creative environment.

You will lead the Fundraising team, including Supporter Care, in developing and implementing team plans and strategies to ensure long-term growth and delivering targets.

Working with the Director of Communications, Engagement & Fundraising, the Senior Fundraising Manager will deliver the organisational Fundraising strategy. This will include leading on all USPG fundraising streams including fundraising appeals, regular giving, legacy fundraising, major donors, church engagement, diocesan appeals, trust and foundations, grants and partnerships and any new fundraising products.

You will line manage the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraising Stewardship Manager, supporting their professional development to help achieve annual fundraising targets and objectives.

About You  

You will be responsible for delivering fundraising appeals, products and campaigns, ensuring that supporters go on a meaningful and experiential journey with USPG and become lifelong supporters. You are, therefore, a confident, passionate, organised and creative senior manager with the proven ability to motivate and inspire your team and USPG supporters.

You will bring energy and passion to this role and have the responsibility for delivering on time fundraising activity across the organisation. Your experience will bring our vital work to life in inspiring ways that increase engagement and individual giving, while ensuring that retention and acquisition strategies are in place, regularly reviewed, and continuously strengthened to grow the USPG supporter base. You will bring a freshness of ideas, whilst maintaining operational efficiency, quarterly reporting and inspirational leadership.

You will have the opportunity to shape our direction over the coming years as we seek to amplify our voice to rethink mission, energise church and champion justice.

The Role

This is a key fundraising role within a small and collaborative charity team.

As Fundraising Lead, you will play an important part in developing and delivering a diversified fundraising pipeline, with a particular focus on trusts and foundations, alongside philanthropy and selected partnership opportunities.

You will report to and work closely with the Director of Growth & Strategy, who leads overall fundraising strategy and senior relationships, while you focus on driving day-to-day fundraising activity, pipeline development and funder engagement.

This role would suit an experienced fundraiser who enjoys both planning and delivery; from researching opportunities to developing strong proposals and stewarding funder relationships.

About You

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a strong track record in trusts and foundations fundraising.

You are likely to:

• Have demonstrable experience securing funding from trusts and foundations
• Be confident developing strong funding proposals and reports
• Have experience managing or contributing to fundraising pipelines
• Be organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Build effective and professional relationships with funders
• Be motivated by improving mental health outcomes and social impact

Experience in health, mental health or community sectors may be helpful but is not essential.

About the role:

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up and see the direct impact of your work on people experiencing homelessness across London. As our first Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer, you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Fundraising to bring our new strategy to life, shaping how we engage major donors and grow a powerful community of supporters who are motivated to stand alongside Single Homeless Project (SHP) and our clients. Every relationship you build and every gift you secure will help create real opportunities for our clients to move away from homelessness and towards safety, stability and independence.

You will take the lead in developing and managing meaningful relationships with major donors, creating thoughtful and engaging journeys that bring them closer to our work and the difference it makes day to day. Alongside nurturing existing supporters, you will identify and secure new funding opportunities, building a strong and sustainable pipeline of donors and driving forward this new area of income generation within the team. Working collaboratively across SHP, you will connect philanthropists with our services in a way that feels personal, impactful and rooted in the realities of our work, while contributing to the wider fundraising targets that enable us to keep delivering life changing support.

Hybrid working for us means a mix of in office working in Kings Cross and home working. Currently two days in the office (usually Wednesday and Friday) with the rest from home.

• You have experience building relationships with donors, supporters or partners, and know how to turn those relationships into meaningful income or long term support.
• You’re a confident communicator, able to bring a cause to life through conversations and written content that genuinely connects people to impact.
• You’re proactive and driven, comfortable spotting opportunities, growing a pipeline and following through to secure results.
• You’re organised and detail focused, able to manage multiple relationships and keep accurate records using CRM or similar systems.
• You’re motivated by purpose and excited by the chance to help shape and grow a new area of fundraising that directly supports people experiencing homelessness in London.
